  1. Play it. Your character isn't forced to have sex.
  2. Weird. I finished the game 4 times and none of my companions ever got a mastery. They are always a tiny little step away from getting one.
  3. I'm absolutely certain that they can't reach either of masteries, no matter how much influence you have with them.
  4. Speaking of NPCs making a return, homosexual romance with Grobnar is a must.
  5. Nothing. Your companions don't get masteries.
  6. It's very refreshing to see that the journalists actually criticize the game and don't fill the previews with painfully common this-is-gonna-rock hype-speak. I assume Sega and Obsidian are pretty confident in the quality of AP and don't want to rely on cheap marketing tactics. *cough* Bethesda *cough*
  7. Why should it matter? Does the mod change music and videos?
  8. H replied to gigahound's topic in Obsidian General
Nah, Obsidian's main strength is dialogue, characters and plotting. I just can't imagine them making an MMORPG. Maybe an MMORTS...
  9. I hope it's something more tactical, closer to Shadow of the Horned Rat and Dark Omen than to Warcraft.
  10. No, let's not do that. Bloodlines would be a better reference point.
  11. OK, should such system be implemented in AP, if it was doable? And please, don't avoid actually answering the question this time. Indeed. Anyway, you don't like this one? Here's another: let's replace, say, the hacking mini-game with a little exercise at actual programming. Player skill FTW! Not at all. Fortunately for them, these folks have shooters and slashers to play with. Fans of stat-based combat soon will be left with nothing.
  12. So if a way to measure the hawtness of the player suddenly gets discovered, it should be immediately implemented in all RPGs, and skills like Seduction and Diplomacy should be removed? I certainly expected you to provide an explanation, a ridiculous one. I wasn't disappointed. Absolutely. Do you find it hard to believe that some people actually enjoy stat-based combat?
  13. And why exactly should combat have its own mechanics that are fundamentally different from how the rest of the game works? I'm looking forward to your answer.
  14. Hey, thanks for the pimping.
  15. Finished DMC 4, and now I long for more cut scene badassery. And, uh... The joke is really getting old, but...
  16. Is it just me, or some questions and answers have been copypasted from other interviews? I can swear I've seen them before.
  17. Yeah, I bet stealth, unarmed combat and gadgets were taken straight from Mass Effect as well. Does Obsidian have no shame? Stop ripping BioWare off and create something original, dammit!
  18. This made my day.
  19. Two gameplay videos: http://e3.g4tv.com/e32008/videos/26926/E3_...eplay_Demo.html http://e3.g4tv.com/e32008/videos/26939/Han..._Fallout_3.html This game looks horrible, even without comparing it to the first two Fallouts.
  20. It's... amazing. A fact sheet that doesn't contain the word "epic".
  21. Agreed. Don't go the way Bethesda and BioWare chose to walk.
  22. You can never be sure of such thing. After all major bugs are fixed, you release a public beta to hunt down the minor stuff.
