The story was basically a Babylon 5 rip-off (Shadows anyone?), with some typical Bio-cliche "Ancient race bullshat". Not that it degraded the fun I had with the game, I just thought that it would have had a lot more potential for originality, considering that they started a new IP with it.

Why for fackeen sake can't Bioware just do it like Blizzard? I mean a real proper announcement. Website, Screenshots, interviews, trailer all at once. No countdowns, no exclusives, no teasing. Just the real deal! Man...

Finished the Novus and Hierachy campaign of Universe at War, and I don't bother about he Masari (boring). I'm also stuck in Assassins Creed at Memory Block 6. I can't stealth-assassinate the Templer dudes in a 5 minutes limit. Or maybe I just haven't tried hard enough.

Flash based games, MMOs and casual Wii nonsense rise, while true groundbreaking, progressive story-based games extinct. I wonder why? Yeah, I'm off into the Dragon Age thread then...

Yeah why would EA want to babysit Bioware? The whole idea of the "City-like states" of development houses, circulating the EA womb like satellites, is what Riccitello strives towards to, after all. Bio now got more money, a bigger marketing and PR team and so forth. I don't see how that should be bad. But then again, Sand is one grumpy pessimist.

It eludes me that such unnecessary games get even funded. Oh wait. It has "Siege" in it's title. Dungeon Siege sold well I presume?

I wonder if this is an action game or a sports simulation. Either way, I hope there's more to the gameplay than just running and jumping and kicking people into the face. I want to shoot guns as well.

Shame on you Bahh...I'm not very fond of it either. Bio should stick to what they're doing best: Fantasy games. Heck, even Kotor and ME are basically fantasy games with laser guns and space ships.

They are the same entity. EA owns Bioware. They are the same company, same corporation. EA isn't just publishing Bioware's games. THEY OWN BIOWARE, completely and totally. Yeah we know Hades. EA owns the company legally, but it's still the same people working there, still making Bioware games. And that's all that should matter to me - playing games from the same beloved developer. Besides I got the feeling that the Doctors, espescially Ray also has a lot of input for EA business - as an EA vice president, he's sort of an adviser to Riccitello.

I never bothered doing the sidequests on the uncharted worlds. Totally boring. The main game quests though are overall good, but relatively short. I can beat Mass Effect in 12-15 hours easily while doing all quests except those uncharted worlds.
