So are you going to buy Mass Effect PC ?
I think we're already at some point there. I remeber back, like 99, 00, 01, 02....oh boy, everytime there was a new game with a new engine that required newer hardware. But since the advent of the next-gen consoles, this has somewhat tempered down. I can't remebmer (except Crysis maybe) a game now that has significantly higher system spect than games 2 or 3 years ago. You always read the same: "2,4 Ghz P4, 1-2 Gig RAM, 256MB DX9 Gfx card". Same as a few years ago, and it still holds for today. Also, there's UnrealTech, which will be used many many years still. If you can run GoW, you pretty much should be able to run any UE3 game for the foreseeable future.

Alpha Protocol SGD
Still no trailer dammit. What's up with SEGA? What use does it have to show it on the SGD but not to the public?

Witty germans? Tee-hee *giggles* ...and Gothic2 is poo :D Well I didn't directly say that the Gothic series is "witty". It has other nice qualities though, like...cursing.

"How different is Piranha Byte games in the german and english translations?" How would I know? I only know the German version, which is...fitting, considering the fine setting and people. But I heard a lot of our non-Jerry-speaking friends complaining about bad English dubs, and often compared the two demo versions with the conclusion that the German version sounds better.

There's a fully localized English version I think (Gold Edition, but I think that's NA only). But if you mean playing it in German, then I think you could find an inoffcial patch to convert it to English subs. Somewhere. Google it.

I wouldn't mind the German localization of ME, as I already heard it's pretty decent. Still, whenever I have a choice, I prefer English for a American/Canadian product, so that wit and meaning can't get lost through a possible sloppy translation. Edit: Same vice versa. I wouldn't want to play a Piranha Bytes game in English.

Im very much against localization myself. Its very expensive, unnescessary and takes a long time to do. Non-english speakers shoud consider themselves spoilt rotten if they got as much as poorly translated subtitles. But there're always enough illiterate crybabies out there that insist enjoying the games in their own mother tongue. Personally though, I'd agree that a professionally (internally) done English version should suffice.

South-africans violently repel foreigners
Click Seems like this is getting even worse... And I always thought SA is one of the more civilized places on the black continent. My brother in law has good friends living there, I hope they don't get grilled.

I like the fact that the Euro version will be multilingual. The game ships on 2 DVDs, 1 DVD the game + English VO, the second for French, Italian and German VO. Very wise decision.

Yes, but not immediately.

Fable?
I don't like Fable, although I must admit I never played it. Hoho.

RPG roundtable at Iron Tower forums
I liked what Josh and MCA wrote about Aliens, that human greed and angst is a bigger threat than acid-spitting monsters.

8600 GT vs 8800 GT
The 8600Gt sucks, same for the 9600GT. Go for the 8800GT, you can get on for 170

From the videos, it looks pretty story-driven to me. I trust Ed to take advantage of this great tale, at least he sounds pretty enthusiastic to me.- What are you playing now?
I pulled myself together and re-installed teh Witcher. I played it last year but didn't really like it, but maybe I never gave it a real chance. Now it seems, I start to enjoy the game immensily! (well, thanks to my new PC it now runs smoothly as well). I'm about to finish Chapter 1 and so far it's really enjoyable. The characters look a bit stiff, and the dialog isn't really that great, or deep, but that doesn't really ruin the game for me. So far, so good.- Rise of the Argonauts
Here's another interview with Ed Del Castillo: Part 3 I really like where they're going with the conversation system. Instead of picking some meaningless nonsense, you pick your choice that favors a god and you get deeds in return. Also, there's an extreme punch-into-face choice! I like that game more and more...- short Empires Total War impressions
Like I care. But yeah, there's surely some truth to it. I'm just fickle like that.- New Fallout 3 screens

God help us all! "He's a console gamer now!"- short Empires Total War impressions
Armanent race or not, that's hardly a good reason to send your boys into death. Really, someone can argue for declaring war on a country due to direct threat, or due to the Treaty of Berlin, but Great Britain wasn't part of that treaty. And they never got penalties for this arrogant move. Mongolians were savages. Period. And yeah, the Bismarck was a monster. So, why did the oh so awesome British Navy haven't build it's own "Monsters" then? - Rise of the Argonauts
