Isn't quality of writing & voice acting what BioWare is famous for, rather than interesting game world & gameplay? There has never been much else in their games. In their trailers/previews they always show off their deep storylines & depth of character choices. I haven't seen any information about the game world itself... they could learn from Bethesda when it comes to building a highly detailed game world with in-depth lore. I agree that the voice acting in Bioware games is generally better than average. However, the writing has always been typically crap. ME's sex scenes, for example, aren't any better than this new one from Dragon Age. Well, how exactly would you expect a sex scene to be? Hardcore Sandwich?

I just made the NWN3 up in the title because I felt so nasty. Of course this isn't NWN3, but NWN MMO, stupid.

Well Sheppard obviously won't die in the middle of the game because you have invested so much into his skills etc. but I could imagine that he dies in a heroic way in the end, and makes place for a new protagonist that will probably already be introduced in ME2.

First things first. Still gotta play the "oh so great" Chrono Trigger first. I'm probably also giving Sonic Chronicles a shot, despite the mediocre reviews.

The problem I have with Dragon Age is that it tries to emulate what BG did 10 years ago, yet it tries to encourage the "new", action-RPG based Bio fans to buy into it. It wants to be traditional, yet there's not really any place for any traditional RPGs in these times anymore. I'm not sure. The shot could go fully back.

Atari already announced some time ago that they're aiming for online and casual in the future. They also bought Cryptic studios, so obviously they have big plans for MMOs. I'm just not convinced that they'll be actually successful with it though.

Personal taste aside, I refered to it not for 2009 standards (which in that case is true, BG2 is rather weak), but what I remembered in my first playthrough. And role-playing, as dumb as it sounds, is not everything in a RPG. BG2 is still Bio's flagship that has yet to be matched.

Not personally, I'd like to see something completely new. Magic Eight-Ball tells me, however, that Obsidian will inevitably end up making Dragon Age 2, whereupon they will fix all the dialogue, engine problems and art assets and make it the game the original was meant to be Cheers MC Nonsense. Why would EA outsource Dragon Age 2 to Obsidian. If everything goes well, Obsidian is gonna work on their own fantasy property. Perhaps they continue on that "Seven Dwarfes" game as we speak.

Well I don't know about you guys but I'd still look forward to another Planescape or Forgotten Realms game - preferably from Obsidian.

I heard only great things about Team Ico's past work, so I might as well pick this one up, despite having a gigantic pigeon-guinea pig-mutant in it.

How lame is that? Clearly, Atari hasn't understood where the NWN core-crowd really is - the single player. But whatever.

Freelancer plays flawlessly at default - no patches or mods needed.

Honestly, I don't know. Make a backup of the override folder, then overwrite them. If it goes FUBAR, undo.

Just ignore these silly marketing strategies. What's important is what is under the hood. And if we believe Bioware, this is supposed to be the best and biggest game since BG2.

Well it does say "Unzip and copy all filies to "My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\Override", so I guess yes.

Hey I just figured out that Divinity 2 is coming out in a few weeks. The new Gamestar preview also speaks very positively about it. Probably will pick that up.
