Linking trailers to yet released games makes sense, because of the anticipation. But releasing trailers to games that we already played to death is kinda...pointless?

Me too, a lot of walmare garbage. About the skins: In what format are they offered? Are they some sort of container/package files, or are they compiled material files? (*.vtf I think?).

The actual story/content in SoZ wasn't that bad I guess, what what made be stop playing it were the numerous overland map encounters and consequently the horrible loading times. Probably spend more time watching loading screens than actual gameplay.
