Thats the least of FO3 problems.

I don't get the LOTR comparisons, to me it looks like NW2 and Witcher etc, basic fantasy. Now if people said it looks like everyother fantasy game I would agree, just not seeing a specific LOTR ripoff. But if you think all fantasy looks like LOTR then I could see your point, but would disagree. If thats the worst feature of a game, then IMO we've got a decent game.(wonder if we can gift severed heads....) I'm more suprised people haven't been bitching about the animation of this game, on BIO boards thats the 'big' thing. As for the soap lines part, you do realize how successful shows like B&B and Young & the Restless are? You and I might not think they're great but there is a lot more people that think they are. You can say you don't like/enjoy the romance mechanic, but its not a flaw, no more so then a FPS having multiplayer or being in First person.

I always get a chuckle when someone claims a movie/tv show/game is unrealistic, because you know its FICTION. -

World of Darkness Online News now live!
Bos_hybrid replied to Rhomal's topic in Computer and Console
While not confirmed either way is pretty much assumed by the community they are not going to use a setting they killed off 4 yrs ago. However a comment was also made by one of the WW folk that not to expect a exact translation of the PnP version to the MMO version. This does leave some hope that they may actually create a hybrid version, though granted that is probably a slim chance. But it does leave the door open for them not to be chained down by the PnP rules which IMO is a good thing. I have it on good word it is going to be a M rated game for whatever that is worth to you. And they are called bloodlines, yes ventrue in the new version are most susceptible to mental disorders. Thus one of their bloodlines is the malkavian. Wanted to hear Requiem was trashed and a new one, more like the Masquerade was replacing it. This will still go on my watch list, since very few games revolve around vampires and werewolves. -
Anyone try Entrenchment? I was going to get it, then someone mentioned horse armor while talking about it.

I doubt there will be many situations like that. My guess 2 or 3.

Ahh they changed his backstory then from TOS canon it seems. Interesting. I'm think a lot of TOS 'canon' has been changed. But it is using the timetravel plot so..... Anyone else think that desert planet is Vulcan having a bad day?

Chris Taylor leading the Fallout MMO project
Bos_hybrid replied to TheHarlequin's topic in Computer and Console
You're using a binary scale to express your opinion, yet you fail to cover all combinations. Let me add the missing parts. Assuming less = 0 and more = 1: Less options less developed = superbad (00) Less options more developed = good (01) More options less developed = bad (10) More options more developed = supergood (11) And we all want our games to be supergood, don't we? People also want to be rich, famous and have privacy. We also want to live in a world without disease and poverty. -

Wasn't the Masquerade setting killed off and a new one put in its place? Like no more Tremre, Malkavians now a subclan of Ventrue etc. Which would make this Vampire: The Requiem, right? -

Finally someone gets it, so glad its a dev. Less options more developed = good More option less developed = bad -
Personally a combination of all. Dues Ex: Skill/ability tree. ME: Character interaction & character importance. Hitman: Stealth kills, funny/light moments. Splinter Cell: Stealth Focus. All this with an Obsidian twist and some good handtohand action.

Only after.

Fear 2, strange ending though.

Main Website Youtube version I got a say, it looks good. Despite doubts at first, I now think Abrams might of done a great job. Great music in the trailer too, for those interested its Freedom Fighters by Two steps from hell from the album Legend.

Wasn't that video still pretty lukewarm though? Been a while since I played Gothic 2. About equal to the ME love scene, although you could do it repeatedly if I remember correctly. If Rhomal and others want porn in there games, they can play A dance with Rogues, plenty of nudity/sex there.

Can't believe people were aggravated by this fact, it is a game after all. Whats the obseesion with animated nipples? Also someone in that thread said it/she/he/herm looked like a female Gann, how did I miss that?

The majority of the codex posters are equal to X360/PS3 fanboys. Very rarely does anything good or interesting come from topics/discussions there. Anyway good luck with PARPG.

Seems like it. Nope, this Aussie loves HL2.

Unreal Engine 3 and Alpha Protocol
Bos_hybrid replied to funcroc's topic in Alpha Protocol: General Discussion
In some ways I now wish they had of chosen a different engine. A few reasons why: - Every game seems to use it nowdays and a lot of games are starting to bleed together. - I don't believe its a great engine for RPGs. - The invevitable comparisons it will recieve to ME and Gears. If its not graphically equal to Gears people will complain. The ME comparisons will cause head shaking and do nothing to shake the Bio little brother view a lot of people have of Obsidian, even though its a new, fresh and interesting IP. But there are several good reasons why it was a good choice: + One of the best looking and stable engines around. + Works well on older PCs. + Very well known to gamers and used a a selling point. + Quite moddable. With everything said, I think Obsidian made a good choice, it just makes me wish there were more good quality engines around. -

I've never really understood that, wouldn't having them in games be free advertising for them? (Unless of course the developer betrays them in a bad light.) Even more so now when companies want to pay developers to put ads in their games. -
Not another one.. 2009 the year of RPG delays.
