I have booted up a first game today after a few weeks long break. It was Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. I have wanted to test out my new controller, if I still would suck at the Kombo Challenges. And yes. I still suck 😄 Although, I was able to do more of them than with PS3 controller. But, I have found out, that my new controller is programmable 😛 So I have spent few hours trying to find out how it works, and after few more hours, I have programmed all 10 of Scorpion Kombo Challenges and unlocked the first Kombo trophy 😛 . Challenge number 10 was really challenging, as the controller language is working on 60FPS, and MKvsDCU is 30FPS game and the last combo hit required perfect timing. I spent almost an hour on figuring out, how to overcome the lag caused by this FPS "discrepancy". I have to say, I had much more fun programming that controller, than performing the combos manually 😄 I have much better knowledge on how it works now, so the next character (Jax) should take much less time to fiddle with 😛

Speaking of GOG Newsletter Discounts, there is biggest one so far for Tropico Series. I got 4 from giveaway long time ago, and today I got 1,2,3 and all DLCs for 4 for 8.88EUR. 5 and 6 are still to expensive for my taste, so skipped them for now. The discount will be valid for approximately 24 more hours from now.

Shoot, I have missed the CK2 one CK1 was the Paradox game, which I have enjoyed most so far (not played Viki2 yet though).

Thankfully the GOG sometimes put Paradox games into Newsletter discount. I got the whole package including Sprites for 9.98EUR this way. DLC was 90% off for 1.99, sprite pack for 2.99 and the game for 5. It was in 2022 though. I do not remember seeing this deal in the newsletter again, though.

Because, from what I understand, they will go from public to private ownership, which might ease up pressure on development teams to release unfinished risk-averse slop. And based how Saudi investment into SNK helped them out to release better fighting games, there is a possibility, this might positively affect EA as well. Or I might just expect to many miracles happen in this ****ty greed driven universe 😛

The very unfortunate thing is, these are absolute empty words, for which the Kotaku is pretty well known. It would be more believable, that this is not just a clickbait virtue-signalling, if they would voice the same stance, whenever a chinese company acquires/put stakes into a western developer or distributor, which pretty much never ever happens.
