Sigh, half of the article is defending microtransactions and shift to f2p model, because "developing costs gone high *cries a river*"... -

Mamoulian War replied to EbonyBetty's topic in Computer and Console
Well, maybe it will be a surprise for you, the situation as described in CD-Project Red, is no different in most of the different companies in Central and Eastern Europe. Lot of people here are still exploited as a cheap labour, even if their job has extremely high added value for employer. It get's slowly better, but lot of people here are still used to shut up and work, from our not so nice past... Some unions are still affraid to do a proper strike, like we can see in Western Europe. Even if Union declares proper strike, lot of people are more worried about losing their jobs, than their ****ty work conditions...- 79 replies

TBH, Dialo II is the only game, which comes to my mind. To what? Generated levels were in first one as well Katphood asked about exceptional procedural genrating, and IMHO, Diablo I is little bit over average.

Bioware is dead few years as well. There is almost no one from the original crew. Because of this ****, I do not buy EA games since 1997. Buying games from EA = mored good studios getting bought and shot... -
You are not the only one. At least reviewer in ars technica said something very similar.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - DA REAL DEAL

Unfortunatelly, I lived to far away from Vienna, so at that time I had no means to travel there. If some friends travelled there, we managed some "business" :-P Hehe, I was never able to buy boxed Arcanum, for the same reason of unavailability in here at the time, so that would be nice haha. Currently I am moving, so my PC, PS2, PS1, Wii boxes and most of the books are still at my old appartment, moved only my PS3 and PS4 boxes ) -

Well that sucks. I had same issues with credit cards about 12-14 years ago. No company was selling in Slovakia NWN1 expansions, and most of the credit cards issued at that time were not allowed for cross border payments. And I was one of these "fortunate" card holders. No prepaid cards at that time, so only possibility was to travel to Austria, and hope to find english version of the game, travel to UK or get it by "shadier" means. Thankfully nowadays, you have here tons of opportunities how to get what you want. But still sometimes hard to get some Japanese games. -

I know PS3 games are fine, but I just can't be arsed to waste time doing research for which PS4 games do need internet connection and which not. I rather wait for my disc in a post. I buy digital only content exclusively on GOG, there is a guarantee, that I do not need to deal with that kind of ****. -

That's why I never buy anything from PSN. PSN is nice frontend, but it is very bad service, when you purchase stuff on sale. -

Mamoulian War replied to ShadySands's topic in Computer and Console
Well, Shady has more of the stuff than Killing Floor, that I would be interested to play/try, but for me, Steam is too big price to pay even for free game *shrugs*- 487 replies

Torchlight I and Torchlight II for free on GOG, if you have it on Steam (through GOG Connect), or if you have it purchased directly from the developer "shop". https://www.gog.com/news/arpgs_up_to_75_claim_a_drmfree_copy_of_torchlight_i_ii -

PEGI has already icon, which tells that the game may contain or learn the player how to gamble. Icon of two Dices. Shadow of War does not have this icon assigned. I will write to PEGI as well, as soon, as I get home from my business trip. -

If there are som UK guys on this forums, there is already petition running to age restrict this kind of gambling in games. Please support it, if you hate this practice. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/201300 Please share the word to your friends as well. The more countries start some legislation against this ****, the better. -

OpenCritic review aggregation site planning to take a stand against loot boxes. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2017/10/loot-boxes-in-video-games-will-soon-get-a-review-flag-from-opencritic/ -
I have all Soulborne games, and DeS is the only one, which I have completed. For some reason I like this game most. I even put big effort to get the Platinum Trophy for this game. I loved it that much Given how horrid getting a few of those achievements are, that's a certain sort of impressive. Hehe, thanks. It took more than 700 deaths to get everything done. Especially the Weapon by Bladestone or how it is called trophy. Pure Bladestone was real pain in the ass to get. But in the end, I got 3 of them :-D

kd-11, nekotekina and few others made specific efforts to make the DeS happen even so early in the RPCS3 development. I just hope someone frome their team will put same effort into making Tales of Vesperia work. I have the game, but I don't want to mod my PS3 to patch the disk with English Translation. So my only hope to play this game, is this emulator, because Namco Bandai hates me, and does not want to translate it :'(

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - DA REAL DEAL
Mamoulian War replied to Rosbjerg's topic in Computer and Console
Well, that is the newest strategy of "big boys". First sell the game with some "in-game" currency only, to get more favourable reviews, then introduce real money shop in game later with the patch, with something like "Our research shows us, that loot crates are enjoyed by a big number of players, so we are introducing more options to you, to enhance your experience even more" bull****... -
RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - DA REAL DEAL
Mamoulian War replied to Rosbjerg's topic in Computer and Console
If you really want the game, and are able to wait some time, just wait for some big discount or buy secondhand on console. This practice really needs to die, and giving them full price for this ****, will encourage them to put even more **** in their future games :-/ -

Well lootboxes are game of chance, the very essence of gambling.
