This game is going to suck because Big Daddies are fat and no one wants to play fat people like OMG!!! Am I the only one that thought the premise sounds kinda like an action-RTS? It also sounds conflicted, why would the Big Daddy harvest the little sister if he is "on the hunt for a Little Sister of his own"? Kinda like the playground bully who takes another kids toy only to grow bored and smash it.

I think their point is that it is harder to attribute a personality to something as inhuman as the big daddies. Personally I think they're bitching too early since we don't know what being a big daddy is going to mean nor even that much about big daddies. It'll be fun if they make it fun regardless of premise.

They mention more than that in the first quoted review: I've also heard about connection problems and other nasties. Edit: Also not that the other versiosn got a better average score. I doubt any of this matters as Obsidian doesn't seem like they're gonna leave the PS3 cold.

@mkreku I'm not arguing against looking at other engines, but how would streaming huge maps help Alpha Protocol? It doesn't seem like that kind of game, or like it ever could have been. Or were those examples just there to try and get the devs talking? @topic I really liked what I saw and if the gameplay is like they describe it then I think I'm going to "buy it day one".

I seem to remember that there are files for something like that in the game and CA most likely just didn't have the time to finish it. It might get modded in if true.

I haven't tried Civ: Rev but I hear it is among the best strategy games on the DS. It is simpler and more streamlined than Civ4 but is still fun.

Is there anything you do like? I seem to remember that there are two Call of Duty DS games and seem to remember that they're supposedly quite good action games. Edit: Zelda action adventure thingy?

I haven't played it but I've heard massive amounts of praise for The World Ends With You. It could be something to try if you want to try out JRPGs. How are you feeling about point and click adventure games? The pheonix wright games and hotel dusk are supposedly really good. Worms Open Warfare 2? Etrian Odyssey is horribly animoo-gay but also a really good dungeon crawler if you can stomach some grinding and JRPG combat. Racing games?

The real fun came from blowing peoples brains out with a burst. Coincidentially that is what many people complain about with Fallout 3.

They had "problems" with people not having the hardware (i.e. whiners) because Crysis was a PC game and they've since started acknowledging that consoles allows them to earn a lot of money. Or are you talking about something else?

I think it needs to hook up every so often even in offline mode. @Tigranes I'm pretty sure that part of the reason they're using steam is that they want to use steamworks for their multiplayer and as such it is needed. I have bought this now and damn does it take a while to download. I'll also mention that it can be usefull to buy over steam since they're selling a mega pack that includes all the 3D total wars and their expansion packs, in case you haven't got all of it. This is the one I bought.

I doubt that Annie Carlson would have that info and is just expecting it to be canned like the rest of us. Edit: I could be wrong of course, just that we can't be sure that she knows for sure.

I assumed that you had one in mind since you suggested that Ken Levine is better than Harvey Smith. I'd just pick the one that would make Harvey Smith the best. Edit: Is Cybermage playable (fun) today from a gameplay standpoint?

Reynolds should have been higher. I wouldn't argue that he should be higher than Sid, since most people wouldn't accept that, but he is pretty damn good and, as many people notice, he has done more and better things than Sid recently. I'm mostly just waiting to see what position Spector gets as the rest aren't nearly as interesting. Anyone gonna comment on Harvey Smith's position?
