  1. All of this reminds me of how deliciously stupid people are. Australians are angry that they get games a long time after everyone else and when they finally get a game early they leak a copy out so it gets pirated. Internet men are angry about DRM and when they choose to screw over a company by pirating shortly after gold they choose a company that uses low amounts of DRM. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

  5. Truth. @MC I doubt that you can kill her as people don't die in Bioware games anymore unless they want to be dramatic. I also seem to remember that NPCs can't be dismissed as usual.
  6. Why do you think it is the latter Gorth? Some of the news reports report him as crying and being distressed and while that in itself doesn't mean anything, simply assuming that he is guilty of more because the story doesn't add up seems harsh.

  8. The point where you go wrong is to assume that it is a strategy game. Relic has moved their games much more towards being tactical games where the fun lies in maneuvering small amounts of squads and now in this game also RPG elements and customisation. If you didn't like CoH then you don't like Relics direction. Also, WiC huge? I thought it was relatively small. Opinions I guess.
  9. @Maria Caliban By level design do you mean small levels or just plain bad level design? The usual complaint leveled at IW levels are that they're too small, which they are. The size problems came from both a lack of memory on the Xbox and a lack of optimisation and using what was there to great effect. If you mean that they are just badly designed then I disagree. The levels in IW were interesting and fun. So there. I also don't really think that Deus Ex is a shooter, it is an RPG in first person and the primary fault with IW was that it wasn't complex enough in its RPG elements and therefore became somewhat stale.
  10. I think you're supposed to fixate on it and that'll help. It gives a focal point, the lack of which is what creates the nauseous feeling in the first place... or something. I'm not an expert on this.
  11. So how is it different from any other puzzle game where you move a thing from one place to the other? This is why I stressed the need for a demo as words and pictures can't make me believe that we need another puzzle game, much less one we have to pay for.
  12. A game. I don't think it is out yet. Pidesco probably has it because he is one of those preorder snobs. They might potentially have my attention if they release a demo soon.
  13. @Krezack Any reason that you were put under general anaesthetic? I seem to remember that when my dad had his wisdom tooth removed he was only put under local anaesthetic.
  14. That's because of our superiour taste to the general populace. No, really, there is a point to what qt is saying as there were important character info in the romance dialogues that meant that bastila and carth were predisposed towards being disliked by PCs of their own gender as they missed out on those romance dialogues.
  15. The third walkthrough video never got mentioned in this thread and wasn't out yet back when the other two were mentioned so some/nearly all of you might have missed it. It shows some close up combat and some talents in use. Based on his ending comments there might very well come a fourth video as well.
  16. Somehow I don't see the connection between a lack of a female protagonist and the awesomness of using 'in your face' biblical references again. My official opinion on that matter is that I don't really care so long as the game is better because of the choice that the devs went with.
  17. Mirror's edge is supposed to have a dot at the center of the screen (the only UI in the game) that is supposed to help with any kind of nauseous feeling created by the game.
  18. I had to manually edit a shortcut to the spore .exe in order to play it in english. I wouldn't really have bothered if the localization wasn't done by a four year old or something.
  19. A bit of wikipedia digging shows that they've hired the daughter of Terry Pratchett to write for it. Rhianna Pratchett: Something makes me doubt that it would be interesting for the story.
  20. It's a parkour game, what did you expect? also, it isn't comming out before january if you want the PC version. Edit: There is probably a plot if that helps.

  23. As in another one besides Full spectrum warrior: Ten hammers? They might still be making one but just haven't said anything yet.
  24. So we haven't talked about voice acting yet. Surely we can all agree that it should improve, right? The asians in Deus Ex were rather freaky because of this.
