  1. why would you need that many though out of curiosity? Ive never needed them
  2. yeah excactly. Even is you ran out of resting supplies all you had to do was adventure a little but more and most times you would find some in treasure loot. I never once in the whole time i played POE1 became frustrated due to running out of spells. They absolutely need to give druids and priests 1 more spell to select at each level to make them more flexible. They are to limited at the moment
  3. I give Deadfire a 2/10 I couldnt get a decent Blueberry muffin in any of the shops in Neketaka.
  4. In POE1 it was incredibly easy to get camping supplies and rest. You could pretty much do this whenever you wanted. I never had a problem with it once. So all these arguements that obsidian changed the rest system so casters could cast more is a complete load of absolute BS. The changes have actaully resulted me casting less with far less options and flexibility
  5. The most important thing you need to know is never engage in ship combat. Just close to board every time. Unless you want your entire party to get keep killed due to boredom
  6. I must admit the more i play deadfire the more i wish they had left the casting and rest system alone and kept it more like the first game. What i cant figure out is what positives they actually achieved by nerfing all casters to only 2 spells per level per fight. I honestly have no idea. What i have noticed is that casters have become far less flexible with very severe limitations in battle. In the first game my casters where constantly changing tactics to suit different encounters now in deadfire they seem to be casting the same spells over and over and over and over every fight. Also why do only wizards get grimoires to help shuffle spells around? What happened to priests and druids? Did obsidian forget about them or something? I dont understand how one caster class could have this huge benefit and all the other classes simply are gimped. It could be argued that the druid gets spiritshift to compensate but the priest gets absolutely nothing of any value.
  7. What are you talking about? Every POTD solo run i have seen on youtube urges people to beeline straight to the shade summons figurine (pre patch 1.02) You are as they say wrong my dear fellow
  8. why dont you give it to someone for a mod request? Request a modder to make a mod for you and give it to them
  9. Im really really happy with the nerf but now that they have been nerfed it would be good to see some more powerful monsters get summoned by Figurines as they now have a limited amount of charges Would be pretty cool to summons some powerful monsters every now and again I wonder how the people who play solo are going after the nerf lol They must be pulling there hair out
  10. I didnt want to say it but yeah they are vastly more powerful then all classes with the execption of a wizard. Persistent distraction is insane for setting up sneak attack and deathblows. I think these three abilities are the reason most people roll multi rogues. Crippling strike is also insane with a +2 pen and +25% damage for a level 1 ability. You certainly cant go wrong with a rogue
  11. So its not a check vs reflex then? It is just straight out raw damage with no save?
  12. 100% the best nerf ever implemented. Your play style will be completely different now that it is not based around spamming walls of summons
  13. Imagine if they devoted those resources from the two disasters that where Torment and tyranny into making a better deadfire
  14. PoE1 sold 500k copies after 5 months as a PC only release (steam, backers, and GoG combined), PoE2 sold 220k after less than 2 months (that's not including backers or GoG) and is also about to release on consoles. Based on these numbers and the fact that the PoE series has had tremendous sales longevity so far (PoE1 went on to more than double its sales by around 18 months after release), there is no reason to assume that PoE2 isn't on track to meet Obsidian's internal targets. All of this has been discussed to DEATH. In the most recent dev stream, narrative designer Alex Scokel was talking about future games in the PoE universe without the watcher as the main character - that's games, plural. If Deadfire was the bomb that players with some July 1st steam sales numbers say it was, we wouldn't be seeing Obsidian devs speculating genuinely and enthusiastically about the future of the IP. Unless we hear differently from an actual game industry expert or someone from inside Obsidian (the way we eventually did with Tyranny), we should assume that things are going roughly as expected. Another way of seeing how it is going is comparing it to other games that have been released at the same time. This was another method i used to evaluate how Deadfie is performing. Its not hard to see it isnt selling well compared to other games.
  15. Your kidding me. Is thay prospectus still up there or if anyone has a copy of it can they post a link. Thats insane
  16. Yeah, this is literally the only reason I've stuck with single class Cipher instead of muticlassing Cipher/Ranger so far. If this happens, then I'd hope that for the next game, OBS just makes multiclassing mandatory. Even now, it feels like trying to balance multiclassing VS singleclassing is a complete nightmare. Buff an earlier level skill too much for the sake of single class players, and it breaks all the multiclass combinations utilizing it. Excactly You can even use a mod to get rid of the level cap so multis can get level 8-9 abilities aswell R.I.P = Single class
  17. Do you have a source for this? Far as I know we don't know the actual budget of the game, or how much did the crowdfunder actually cover. Not to mention the actual money those sold copies translate to. By law they have to release this stuff to the investors. Thats why it would be good if anyone who invested in the game could let us know if Obsidain have released any sales information to them yet
  18. Because of power creep. At level 20 we're capable of summoning dragons, calling down meteor swarms on our enemies and summoning avatars of the gods. If you add new levels with all three DLCs you're going to run into problems coming up with new abilities that feel more powerful. I suspect Obsidian could come up with one more power level's worth of abilities, which is why I suspect only one of the three will see the level cap increase (probably the third). I guess they could increase the level cap by one each time which would avoid more than one power level increase, but my guess (and it's only a guess) is that we'll only see the level cap go up once. Fair pt. Maybe the inclusion of a skill modification system. Similar to Empower - one or two additional levels where you can a select an ability to increase duration, damage, etc etc. Spitballing here...looking for some sort of addition. Like writing your own grimoire:p Them not raising the level cap is just a huge nerf to single class. Like an enormous nerf to single class. I have had reservations about rolling multis because by the time they hit high levels there wont be much game left to enjoy your high level abilities. If OBS release all three expansions without raising the level cap then that gets rid of that concern. You can get to multiclass high levels and have plenty of time to enjoy them.
