uuuhhii replied to Stardusk78's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)raedric hold might be the best part of the game before dlc but first few hours of poe are also filled with so many unnecessary and overcomplicated things such as main character become both awaken and watcher deadfire get that part right main character have a damaged soul is much easier to understand as motivation

Archmage Circle - the duelling requirement doesn't add up
it was suppose to be a test so other archmage likely won't use their full capacity most likely fight everyone is meant to give every archmage a chance to evaluate new recruit on their own so no one will reject a new archmage they didn't get a chance to judge

Any Chance of Pillars Of Eternity III?
uuuhhii replied to Stardusk78's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)pirate themed rpg looks like it should be easy and popular but no risen somehow messed it up twice the biggest problem of poe probably are how impenetrable it can be to new player deadfire are much easier to understand for old player but equally impenetrable for new player hard to imagine how obsidian could change this in a sequel

After playing Kingmaker..
uuuhhii replied to Kilburn's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)pfk are filled of decades old flaw of old rpgs but most likely not by the choice of owlcat the developer but the requirement of the theme too many player vocally demand things in pathfinder rulebook so owlcat waste all the time and effort translate many of it into the game but don't have the time to make these things actually work in a video game

How do you rank or compare the other popular cRPGS?
uuuhhii replied to Verde's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)overwhelming quantity of fantasy cliche was the point of pathfinder everything have a piece in it so player can start a game in whatever setting they want and it was also the setting's most obvious weakness as for roleplay as a more consistent character it was not very well constructed worst part are the dialogue option block by alignment the game play system are so ancient even compare to poe and wasteland2 it just doesn't work at all the strength of pfk certainly didn't penetrate it's many flaws player have to fight every single one of it to get to the good stuff usually the short story piece together by items scatter around

Stories of the important heroes in the Watcher's teams - thoughts
worst part of serafen's quest are there is nothing after killing malnaj the nemesis of serafen past and present no dialogue no special item just very anticlimatically leave the ship boarding scene only put in a few line about it in second dlc who thought it was a good idea? maia pellagina aloth all feels wasted or underdeveloped in different ways vatnir obviously should be a full companion the whole sidekick thing doesn't exactly work out

Is Obsidian publicly undercutting The Outer Worlds' game director, Leonard Boyarsky?
that is a very weak conjecture about correlation between event even if it is a direct response to what the director says the interpretation of "it was the game director intended to make, not necessarily all the other devs(personal)"are still more logical then "because the director intended to make are not what the same as other devs,we intend not to do the job(professional)" it reads like a disclaimer
-
Is Obsidian publicly undercutting The Outer Worlds' game director, Leonard Boyarsky?
of course the boss doesn't represent the collective view of their employees and the rest of the sentence are talking about personal ideology why would the intent means anything professional rather than personal?
