Wrong Blood Legacy resolution
Sotnik replied to Sotnik's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
The generated one as well. -
We cannot consider the attributes without knowing the other variables. If a character can get +100 speed, Dex becomes redundant. If the character can get +100% damage, Might becomes less important. Might affects damage only; Dex is good for any non-instant action (weapon switch is an exception I believe). On the other hand, Might becomes more important in regards to limited resource points. As for Con and Res it is not so simple because many melee attacks target Fortitude. However, If you are capable to deal with such attacks with CC, keeping distance or another way, it becomes less important. Having little Will can make your life very unpleasant, although I don't know if it is a useless stat in solo play as it was in PoE1. Upd: I have just read about the weird malus formula and now I am thinking that it is generally reasonable to avoid negative numbers in attribute derivatives. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/98679-mechanics-attack-speed-recovery-time-reload-time/

Whenever I see such a feature in a game my first idea is that the highest difficulties are balanced towards using that feature. Some games are designed in such a way that you cannot beat them on the highest difficulty without using it. I still hope there will be difficulty achievements and I hope they will limit application of Blessings. As for PotD in general, I see no harm in allowing them. That being said, I think the vote lacks an important option.

Lightning Strikes Damage bonus is multiplicative. It does multiply all your damage bonuses like backstab, active skill damage, crit damage and so on. Swift Flurry It is broken when used with specific weapons . Hopefully this nonsense will be fixed soon and I am not considering these cases here. DPS increase is based on your standard attack - not sure if it is Primary or could be off-hand. You risk losing much DPS increase with overkill. I have not noticed a bonus attack being transferred to the next target. As you can see, it is almost impossible to make a build that would prioritize Swift Flurry over Lightning Strikes, especially on Path of the Damned unless you use aoe/multiple projectile exploits. The 100% chance of crit is probably achievable only by a Berserker vs a paralysed target - looks like impossible in solo. Please share your opinion and advise if your testing results differed.

Hi! Could you please advise on the invisibility mechanics? 1) What are the actions that break invisibility? 2) Shadowing beyond: do "untargetable" and "+50 to Deflection" disappear with invisibility broken or do they stay for all the 8 seconds? 3) Does Assassinate work with invisibility or only stealth? Does it work in any range? Is there any difference in trigger conditions between Assassinate and Backstab? 4) Do full attack abilities benefit from Assassinate and Backstab on the first strike only or on both strikes? 5) Whenever a character strikes from invisibility/stealth, does Engagement start before or after the strike?

I can't see why companions cannot have sub-classes - except for Xoti. Neither why the 1st level proficiencies, skills, attributes and abilities are locked. I understand that some characters cannot have, say, 10< Int, but making the companions completely boring from the character building point of view is a mistake.

Sometimes they are situational and sometimes you can make them a part of your strategy. The debuffing modals and daggers are great if they are relevant to what your character is doing. Unfortunately, I failed to find a situation where the piercing modal would be beneficial enough to suffer -50 speed.

Why? Because at range you're still only going to fire the gun/wand in one hand, and in melee you will only swing the weapon you have in the other. There is no difference in DPS for melee unless you use full attacks. As for range, you get +1 shot once. Which is not +50% DPS. Still, I am not sure how Ranged weapons act with full attacks if only one is reloaded.

At first glance I thought that exchanging 50 speed for 2 penetration is not very good. At the second glance I decided that for some characters it is completely useless - if their penetration is buffed in another way or if they have high crit rate. Even if that 2 points are decisive they will only save 25% damage or add 30 - and it is not guaranteed unless you know the enemy stats, never crit and calculate the possible outcome every time. What do you think? Please advise if I am missing something.

(i) The List of the confirmed decisions should be displayed in the Legacy generation window. As it is overbugged at the moment, this would at least help to be sure the player clicked the correct lines and would provide a possibility for better bug reporting. (ii) Also it seems like if you try to edit specific questions in an older Legacy, all the other questions are updated to default which is not convenient. Still, I cannot be sure because of (i).

Same here. I met her on the coast, but she was not in the ship afterwards.
