^ two in a row now for the Leafs since the all-star break. they're playing decent hockey these days (forgetting the 8-2 thrashing fron the Pens). Hopefully the teams in front of the Leafs will lose a few more games this season so they can make the playoffs.
  2. I thought you weren't going to play the game anyway.
  3. I found this Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor tool, which tests your pc to see if it's vista ready. Interestingly, the advisor won't work on a 64-bit system. However, the only issues it found were with my printer (which is ok since i was thinking of buying a new one anyway) and three or four older programs, that it suggested I uninstall before upgrading to vista. A third time, thanks for all the info everyone. I think I'm going to wait a while, perhaps until the first service pack, before upgrading.
  4. Okay, thanks again everyone. I'd rather really not downgrade the ram in order for windows to recognize the full amount. upgrading the OS looks like my best bet. Appreciate the help, folks. Was tearing out what little hair i've got left trying to figure this out.
  5. Hmm... got an intel core 2 duo @ 2.13 ghz
  6. Like some others in this thread, I'll just say I'm gonna wait and see what Bethesda's Fallout has to offer before passing any kind of judgement on it. Although I enjoyed Fallout and Fallout 2, I was as never really a rabid fan to begin with, so we'll see. Also want to add, can we please just not give Hades any new info on the game?

    Same here.
  8. I'm wondering if I'll need to upgrade any hardware components as well.
  9. So, the difference between 32 bit and 64 bit is only in the xp OS? Meaning... there are no other hardware issues I'll have to deal with?
  10. Thanks everyone for the replies. Not exactly the good news I was hoping for, but the explanation is sensible. As my neighbour jokingly told me; "you know what?? [The heck with] you and your memory problems. You've still got three times the RAM I've got!" Looks like I'm Vista bound in the near future.
  11. Recently upgraded the RAM in my pc, and spent a significant amount of money to do so. Went from 1 GB (2 512mb sticks) to 4 gb (2 2gb sticks). However, in the system propeties in the control panel, windows (xp sp2) is reporting that i have 3.25 gb. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening, and what i can do to fix it? One person i talked to suggested i test each memory stick by itself and make sure they're not faulty. another suggestd i adjust my virtual memory settings.

first post. leafs win, despite being badly outshot. unfortunately tucker is still not back, and likely won't be until after the all-star break.

  14. Cheers!
  15. Rented Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick, now just waiting for my days off to watch them. I've heard Pitch Black is very good, so I'm looking forward to it. Dunno about Chronicles, but my understanding is that Vin plays the same character in both movies... is this true? is chronicles a sequel, or a prequel to Pitch Black, or not related at all?
  16. I was given valium when I had my wisdom teeth taken out. I was 20, it was the first time I'd taken or been given drugs of that sort, so I wasn't too sure what to expect. As the operation progressed, I could feel a certain pressure on my jaw, and it began to hurt. My mouth was full, the surgeon was working away, and I tried to tell him, "it's sore!" Because he couldn't fully understand me, he thought I was counting my wisdom teeth, and he just laughed and said, "yes, there are four!" Three times we repeated this little exchange. Because I was stoned, I began to find it kinda funny, and also because I was stoned, it never occured to me to say, "no you idiot! It hurts!" And anyway, it turned out I had five wisdom teeth; two on the lower right side. The surgeon showed me the extra tooth. It was all abcessed and would have impacted if I'd waited any longer to have the surgery done. Some months later, I saw an ad in the classifieds, asking that anyone, who had surgery performed by this particular doctor within the previous two years, to call a certain phone number. The first fear to pop into my mind was AIDS or hepatitis, or something like that, so I called the number. Turned out this particular doctor had botched an operation, and damaged that big nerve in someone's jaw, and they were looking for others who had similar bad experiences. I guess I was lucky, because it only took a week or so until I was pretty much back to normal after the operation.
  17. Superman... not bad I guess. Could have been so much better if it wasn't tied into the older Chris Reeve movies. Pirates of the Carribean 2 .. also not bad, but not as good as the first. Am still looking forward to the 3rd installment. Raising Arizona ... classic. Second only to Big Lebowski as favourite Coen Bros film.
  18. Interesting. The announcement of Obsidian's upcoming development of an Alien game means Kotor III is a long way away, if it's coming at all...and if Obsidian is developing it. Oh well. Like the idea of having a lightsaber right at the beginning. Yes, let's have that.
  19. ^ I remember that game! inspired by one of the first people i got to know over on Iplay's PS:T boards. she always hung around the forums at work, and because it was morning there, late night/early morning here, she thought i didn't get enough sleep.
  20. Watched Da Vinci Code last night. I enjoyed it. I never read the book, never really knew what it was about beyond a vague outline, so came in blind pretty much. Kinda thought Tom Hanks wasn't the right actor for his role, but was impressed with everyone else.
  21. gonna have that silly song in my head all day now. errr, welcome to the forum, diego.
  22. Kotor also forced you to take people. I wouldn't have chosen Carth or Mission or Zaalbar or T3, had I been given that choice.
  23. This could be just the beginning of what they can do to alter memories with drugs. I was also thinking of that Jim Carrey movie when I read this, and I would say no to ever taking the drug. Having fortunately never experienced a severely traumatic event in my life, it's easy to say that... so who knows?
  24. Perhaps all Githzerai don't speak of *knowing* because not all Githzerai are Zerths. EDIT: This reference alone makes me want to fire up Torment again, while I'm waiting til I can afford a graphics card capable of running NWN2, that is.

Raycroft probably isn't going to play until Saturday against the Devils, and maybe not even then. They haven't placed him on the injured reserve yet, but they aren't taking any chances with something that could nag him all season if not healed right. Kubina is expected back tonight though.
