I think you may be giving these people, both sides, too much credit. Most of it is merely people being jerks for the sake of being jerks...just to see the other person's reaction. A lot of confrontations usually end up with everybody laughing...strangely enough. The only real way to stop this is to completely eliminate all forms of communication when it comes to gaming. And I don't want it to come to that...so suck it up, turn down the volume, or fire back.

Ahem, back on topic... I play a lot of Halo 2 online, and yeah, people in general are complete ****. It's actually somewhat rare to find decent players who laugh about things and offer a friendly "Good game" after the match is over. Then again, a good deal of it is just ****in' hilarious, and I love to mess with the people that do it. You'd be surprised how quickly people quiet down when you break in with a loud "BaAaAaAaAaAa" sheep sound...or make them think you're doing.........stuff.... All in good fun. Happens a lot...so either grow some skin, preferably the thick kind, or take your ball and go home. And like Aurora said...since when is this new?

Yeah, you'd think there'd be more of a panic...or more of a reaction in general.

I'd like to think I'm a bit better than these......things. <_<

I like to get my violence out in the digital realm, thank you very much...that, and needlessly complicated puzzles tend to provoke more anger than even the most violent game for me.

As for death threats...jokingly saying your gonna kill somebody at school...ie. Technically...I have the power to go to my father's house, take his stockless, pump-action 12-gauge, and go on a killing spree. Not that I ever would, but here's the point. Each of us has the power to affect everybody around us. Therefore, we have power extending beyond ourselves. At least, that's the way I look at it. And yeah, the different facets of religions view their chosen version of a deity(s) at least a smidgen differently.
