So, making the language old-timey, and thus alienating a good many potential players does what good, exactly? I'd rather be able to clearly understand everything being said and be able to relate to it on a subconscious level, rather than having to immerse myself in the middle ages in order to do so. And what's with the bitching and moaning about the graphics? Go play NWN 1 for a few minutes, then if you have the gall to complain about NWN 2's graphics by comparison, I'll have to ask you to submit to a forced lobotomy. Just my opinion on his opinions.

I disagree on the first point, and agree on the second. No love for Shadows of the Empire on N64? That game had the best Hoth/Snowspeeder level yet. And Yoda Stories IS awesome, Xard. Gotta say one of the KotORs though, either those, or X-Wing Alliance....or Republic Commando.

Heh, and I thought D2 was much more fun than D1. Improved everything really, and it hadn't gotten old to me. I still play every once in a great while.

It'd look a lot better if the graphics were at, say, max, like mine will be once I get the damned thing.

D1 and D2 were excellent at what they were intended to be. They weren't meant to be intensely story-driven RPGs, just a fun hack n' slash through hell's legions. Considering most, if not all, of the teams who made the first two have left blizzard for other opportunities or to form new dev houses (like Flagship Studios and ArenaNet), I don't have much hope for the third installment staying true to the simple effectiveness of its predecessors. But, they could always pull it off... That said, I'd still rather see Starcraft 2 than D3.

Aren't they supposed to be inherently graceful and beautiful? That's one of the big things with the race, I thought. The more I see of these character models, the more I think of KotOR 2...and I couldn't find one male face I liked enough to use as a character. In fact, There were only like one or two female faces that were even passable as human. Sincerely hoping the game is waiting for me once I get home....so I can play and completely ignore the fact I have homework and papers building up...

Thank god people like you weren't the majority back in the days of the original Mario or Tetris. There wouldn't be a gaming industry. Personally, I love Halo's story, lore, etc. That's me though. No reward for you, anyway. Most situations in Halo 1 and 2, depending on the level of difficulty, require a bit more than running and gunning. A tactical approach gets you much farther than charging headlong into a small squad of Elites, firing your rifle and yelling action movie cliches like some lunatic. And yes, we all know....you hate Halo. On Topic: I'll eventually check this game out, through some means, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it for what it is....a simple fantasy hack n' slash. Oh, and I know what ya mean about the kicking, mkreku. I remember just standing at the top of a ramp in the demo and continually kicking an orc down the stairs, giggling like a schoolgirl....then finally just kicking him off the cliff.
