Never seen this thread before but I'm glad I did. I'd highly recommend Dexter season 1 and 2 from showtime. Show is absolutely amazing, if you're into a comedy drama that centers around a sociopath. Great show, please watch. I recently watched the premier of Breaking Bad. Basically it's about this Chemistry teacher that finds out he has lung cancer and resorts to making meth to support his financially unstable family and leave them with something when he dies. It's a dark comedy and is pretty interesting. Judging from the pilot that was aired I think it was maybe meant to be on hbo or showtime becuase there was a woman's breasts that were blurred out and a few f bombs that were edited. Besides those hiccups I highly enjoyed it. My only real qualm is that there are only 9 episodes and they've shot 7 of them and since the writers striek has happened who knows when they'll finish or if it ever will since it airs on amc and who the hell watches that.

I went to school today. One of the worst days of my freakin entire life, not really but then again every day is a horrible day of my life so i mean I guess I've come at a crossroads of sorts becuase it's either hey jump off a bridge while intoxicated with copious amounts of alcohol and prescription drugs and hope the overdose happens before I hit the ground or I just tough it out like usual and do this retarded communications class. It's not even that I'm afraid of doing the whole speech thing in front of people, that doesn't bother me, I'm just a chronic nervous disaster for no apparent reason all the time. One day, these damned nerves will kill me and it'll be great. Other than that I bought my books and currently I'm looking for a 5th class that will fill my schedule. Of course the anthropology class I was looking forward to taking, since it's on Friday, is full and my fortunately for me my school is a lousy pos and offers basically nothing else to take so invariably I am screwed yet again. And to top things off my mouse has all the sudden taken a liking to not freakin working on a mousepad, no matter how many I try, and instead prefers my filthy desk. I can conclude that it'll probably die in a few days from aids and I'll have to fork over another 35 bucks for some high tech gamer mouse that I never use any of the functions on. On the bright side I figured that I can complete school in about 2 and a half years or 3 depending on if I start taking 5 classes each semester and take summer school, which is nice. I also have the sneaking suspicion that I have a brain aneurysm. :catandnotthe...."feminine"one:

Thanks a whole bunch. Even though I already know what it is I was eating a freakin roast beef sandwich.... Anywho, I'm sure things will calm down, someone somewhere will cut rates or some stuff and everything will be back to normal and I'll continue on a path of ignorance even though I'm a business major and don't know how it's all set up and I'll just be eating my roast beef sammich in the corner.

Are you guys aware if people get banned from enough complaints. I played with this dude twice, the first game he kept letting the other team kill him and helped them kill me, then the next game he did the same thing to his partner. Both times I gave a complaint of cheating because he said he was doing some kind of exploit where i guess if you lose enough games once you start winning you will go in level extremely easy.

Never played either game but I love cats and racoons might as well be as close as it'll come so why not.

Our heating system broke so our house is literally colder inside than it was outside during the day. I read a pdf on stretching so I could get some much needed blood flow and I'm contemplating a stretching regiment but I kind of doubt it'll manifest itself but w/e I have more important things to worry about like not slipping away into the darkness during the frozen night. On another note school begins on Wednesday for me and it's the first time I'll have a semester with 5 full classes and perhaps a job if all goes well, maybe I can actually start putting a dent into my degree, probably not since they keep on adding freakin classes needed to graduate. I mean come on, 3 social sciences and the art class I took magically no longer counts. That's a real **** move by them. :'(

I applied for a job today and downloaded the demo of burnout paradise which was surprisingly fun, might have to buy that one. Of course if I have a job I could buy all the games I could ever want. Too bad chances are pretty low unless my friend takes a risk to tell the manager to hire me but I can't guarantee that school won't interfere and make me quit and I'm a good enough friend to where I wouldn't screw him like that even though he's really ducked me over more than a few times.

Sounds cool but how the hell are you going to pay for your trip to hong kong? I mean what are you, some kind of rich guy all the sudden who can take lavish vacations for months on end to exotic and interesting places with your fancy Armani suits and your 2 dollar conscious. I wanna go. :'(

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I haven't made a female character yet but I mean if they had that maybe they have some kind of hidden "bulge" scale you can tinker with for mister Shepard.

Call of Duty 4. You get shot like once and your dead. And terrorists.

Disturbia. Shia LaBeouf actually did a pretty good job acting here and as a whole the movie was surprisingly pleasant enough to watch. It's pretty easy to hate movies like these becuase generally they are horrible but it wasn't too bad. I wouldn't watch it again but it kept my interest from begining to end and that's an accomplishment. I just can't stand how they make people so retarded in these films. Walking into a killers house calling out "mom" every 15 seconds. Not a very good idea, especially after he just thrashed like 4 people within 5 minutes with a bat. 7.5/10 - Well paced, competent acting all around but in the end an uninspired thriller with crappy liberal underlying theme of big brother and some crap about rampant paranoia.

I finally reached level 45 a few days ago in halo 3. Yaaay.

KotoR 3: Ideas, Suggestions, Discussion, Part 24
theslug replied to SteveThaiBinh's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Just because a game has the same engine doesn't mean it has to use the exact same interface or even be the same genre of game. The engine will only define what limits and to what extent a game will perform, graphically and otherwise. But yes, I wish Bioware would make kotor 3 right after Jade Empire goes gold, using the same engine and dialogue system but this time get some really great writers in on it. It'd also be awesome they used the influence system that obsidian added and fleshed it out more. However none of that really matters since the mmo bioware is doing is based on Kotor so it's pretty much all gone. But I suppose that is a good thing since it means the possibility of a new story line and new characters with new technology to make a better game. -

I didn't like Serei No Morbito. Angered me greatly. The begining, sure it was nice but like 2 episodes in the entire run of the show where there is actual fighting is kind of lame. The "spirits" at the end were lamer than hell and the ending was pretty anticlimactic. However, you are right. The art style and animation is quality stuff. It was just a boring show. There's no other way to describe it. Visually it was beautiful but like nothing was happening except like character development but the main flaw is that characters are defined by their actions and there wasn't a whole lot of action going on.

Yeah, also known as Nicolas Cage sucks giant sweaty manness syndrome.

I think you meant to type "known human history" but accidentally typed "current events." I also don't understand the widespread aversion to shaking up a ridiculously stale genre, honestly. The beer-swilling, gruff, ultimately loveable dwarf, the arrogant, agile elf, the mischievous, kleptomaniacal halfling, and the bland human all get together to chase after some McGuffin in a world where everyone save the bad guys - usually clearly identifiable due to baldness or being half-snake - are good-hearted and likeable. We really need that yet again? I don't hear anyone screaming for Lethal Weapon 49. Why is this phenomenon peculiar to RPGers? If you got a problem with Danny Glover you got a problem with me. We aren't friends, we're family.

Trust me, you are not missing anything. It's a pretty lame tekken like 1v1 fighter game. The only different thing it ever did was let you collect different armors and weapons, which are pretty useless from what I've played at a friends house. Capcom vs Marvel 1 & 2 are much more competent and most of all more fun than any other fighting game I've ever played. Course you need a dreamcast for that. Still looking forward to GTA 4. I think that's basically the only game I really want coming up becuase rockstar has yet to disappoint me with a gta game and nothing else seems like it'll be great. Even fable 2.

Yeah inventory was pretty bad as well. Got way too much useless crap that I pretty much had to drop or sell for pretty much pennies. Completely stupid.
-
Yeah if you take a middle school typing class you can do the same like me or anyone else.

I pretty much stopped playing which is kind of sad since it had so much promise. The atmosphere is just too bleak for me, it's not vibrant or anything and that makes me more depressed than I am usually, yes I'm on the edge. As far as combat goes its alright, like I just quit playing earlier today becuase I was walking along a swamp path outside vizima and this plant popped out. I started fighting it, hitting all my combos perfect yet I still got trashed in only a short time without really hurting it much. Not to mention you have to like buy books and stuff to actually get quest items from creeps such as the 10 or so drowners I murdered without getting their brains or w/e which is complete bs in my opinion. Of course each book costs like 500 dollars and I only have like 3 grand which besides stuff like that I have no use for. of course the quest rewards for stuff like that is also only like 200 or so orens which is bs. Quest system is just like any other rpg set up like it I suppose but way less organized than I'm used to. Like how am i supposed to remember where all these people are at and their names? The story is also not particularly gripping at all. There are numerous occasions, no scratch that, every occasion where Geralt will say something that I have absolutely no idea who or what he is talking about. I guess I'm just not a multitasker becuase I much better prefer a system somewhat like Oblivion or WoW where you can just like do an entire set of one persons quests in a row or just pick one quest and follow it's directions until completion. Not so much in this game becuase it's just pure chaos and I can't deal with that. Sadly, I may have to let this one go.

Sounds a whole heck of a lot like The Witcher.

If you need help maybe I can help you out buddy.

Yeah I go back on the 18th. Pretty non-awesome that this is the first semester that I actually want to take like 6 classes but I can't get into anything else but the classes I already have because they are all full. Not to mention that the classes I want to take I pretty much need to take or else I can't exactly continue further in school becuase it's set up all retard like. So I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a part time job to keep me busy. It'll be something nice to have something on my resume that is longer than 3 months of work experience. :'(
