Anyway, in my last KotOR 1 game I played a DS female which I killed Jolee and Juhani, then had Zaalbar kill Mission (very satisfying) and after I killed Malak Carth showed up on the Star Forge trying to convince me to kill Bastila and die with him as the Repubic fleet destroys the Star Forge. I chuckle and sliced the cur like the dog he is.

Well, when I do my next computer upgrade I want it be not only cool but cold. :D Right now, with money being tight I was only able to get a baseline Compaq Presario with a substandard power source which needs upping bad. I keep the rom where I keep my coputer around 60 to 70 degrees and I have an basic extra fan system taking up an empty PCI slot but that is all I could afford at the time. Jobs in Iowa don't pay that much, even with a degree.

Yeah, you don't need it but it is far more satisfying.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. The version I got my 5700 LE was the 256 MB. I don't see myself upgrading till I upgrade my whole computer and that is a year or two down the line. When they reach 1 gig of video ram that is when things are going to get scarey... in a good way. I wouldn't have a clue about modding video cards though. What exactly did you do to it and what exactly is a Zalman? My bit is software, not hardware.

AgainstOne, since you are a game developer, according to what you have said, please enlighten us what games you have made. Obsidian is a start up company and has zero clout to push their publisher around. They pretty much have to do what the publisher, Lucas Arts in this case, say or no money or worse (like a lawsuit). Once they have established themselves then they can do as you say, but start up companies just can't do that if they want to remain in business. If you want Obisidian to fix KotOR 2, which I know they are very much willing to do you need to target the publisher, Lucas Arts. That is what I would do.

Disciple is an interesting character. He is a soldier to start off with and can hold his own in a fight. He is as good dual wielding blasters (from my experience) as Handmaiden is hand to hand. He can become a Jedi and his path takes him to Jedi Consular which gives him potent force ability that goes hand and hand with the combat strengths of the Soldier class. When he goes Jedi give him a lightsaber staff and he will just go to town on your enemies. The antics between him and Atton are quite humorous.

Amend that, a good CRPG abnd Deus Ex is not a CRPG. Its a shooter. Also there have been a few good recent CRPGs. Not all of them predate BG2, just the majority do. I also play more than CRPGs. I play Space Combat sims too... on occassion... um, at least once a month I plug in Wing Commander 4 and Prophecy. Man, I need to get the entire series on the PC. I miss battling Prince Thrahkath.

As a NVidia user I can say I began having problems but I was using a custom unofficial drivers. I did a full removal and deletion of the old driver and placed the most recent official driver and had no problems since. I am using a Geforce 5700 LE. I don't like the style in which ATI writes their drivers and is one of the reasons why I switched to Nvidia.

I like making my own items and equipment. Its even better with some of the item creation mods.

I don't see how it is a broken game, except for the piss poor ending that desperately needs a content patch. I do agree that putting "SOON" was a bit of a bad idea. Soon to me is couple of days. It has been more than a couple of days since the patch was announced.

I simply don't put much emphasis on graphics. Its all useless eye candy to me. If the story was good enough I would gladly play it text based. Ah, the days of Zork abd being eaten by a Grue. Such fond memories. 15-20 FPS looks fine to me. It only gets unplayable done 5 to 9 FPS.

Jeez people, he is giving you guys with ATI cards a fairly percise list to follow to get the game working for you and you guys cop an attitude?!? WTF peeps. I just want to say thank you for posting this for I am sure it will most definitely help some people out there til the tech patch comes out.
