Therefore Gothic 2 is not a CRPG, but is billed as one, so I will judge it as one. Gothic 2 sucks.

Nvidia is the best route to go. It may not be the fastest cards out there but it is the most compatible and has the best drivers. For your price range I would suggest either this one: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...1118492&CatId=0 or http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...1221040&CatId=0 Depends if you have PCI Express or AGP. An AGP version of the first one goes about $25 to 50 more than the PCI Express. Also you would want to check your power supply system on your rig. Most defaults come with 250 watts which would be too week. I would suggest getting a 420 to 500 watts before getting the card.

Only thing now is to have Lucas Arts order another patch. Doubt that will happen though.

They should let KotOR 2 be the last game. Lucas Arts screwed it up and they will probably screw up the third game even moreso.

Though that is an amusing way to call it but I would have to say Ew, and how tempting that might sound but no.

A simple fix for that would be let the next KotOR game read the previous game's saved game. Pick up those variables right away and plug away from there. No last game conversation like in KotOR 2.

Lucas Arts had an unrealistic goal. Obsidian did their best to fulfill that unrealistic goal. Lucas Arts got their money. Lesson here, don't buy future Lucas Arts games till KotOR 2 is fixed, fully. That's my plan.
