A lot of people definitely has have that confused. I should explain to them without using large words so that I won't tax their minds so early in the morning. Okay, maybe not tax my mind so freaking early in the morning. Damn buggering cold. Character Creation starts prior to game play. At this stage you choose your race, gender, assign stats (either points or rolled), assign class and skills (if any), and the general look of the character. Some people go into more detail, rather in PnP or for their own gratification in a CRPG. There are also two types of Character Development: Rules Base and Story Base. Character Development (Rules Base) is the process of the character "leveling up" and gain experience. He improves skills and abilities that he had at creation or choose a different path if he or she so wished. This is not character creation. Character Development (Story Base) is the role playing aspects in which your character grows and becomes more knowledgable of the world around him or her and the current situation. Gothic 2 has no character creation.

Okay. Well. Um, that kind of sucks. Lucas Arts doesn't seem to really care about its fanbase, do they?

Never really played the EOBs I have them somewhere due to the game pack I got for the Old FR gold box games. Man, those were great. Dammit, now you got me wanting to rummage for all my old games. The computer room is going to be a huge mess now.

Like I said, I only play CRPGs and Space Combat Sims. Also there have been quite a number of non-quality games that gotten sequels. Liesure Suite Larry series, the Sims, The Final Fantasy games, and the entire Might and Magic series.

I played the game a few hours and yes the voice acting is bad. These people went tot he William Shatner School of Voice Acting and failed.

Of course I am out of line. I am always out of line. That is why most people consider me a troll, but in truth I am a ogre. A sexy ogre by some people's (okay, 1 person) opinion. Also Gothic 2 was billed as a CRPG where I live and well, I judge it as such. If those Good and Evil types come here and spout off the same stuff I will state my opinion about that game which isn't going to be much since I haven't played it. It looked kind of boring. I play CRPGs and Space Combat sims only and when the box says CRPG I expect a CRPG. Not an Action Adventure.

I hate MMORPGs. They all suck.

From my knowledge there are peeps at Obsidian who would be very interested in fixing KotOR 2 in whole. Its Lucas Arts that are holding things back.

Yes, they are not starting completely from scratch and that is the problem. They don't have intimate knowledge of the game engine because they did not make it. Also they are making a new graphics engine which needs to be compatible with the old base engine. Add a tool set, DM client, and MP/Server to the mix you have one large hodge podge of code to swim through.

And each time this comes up you will hear it all again. If the fanbois can continually priase the game ad nauseum then I can continually bash the game ad nauseum.

@ Volourn: It is one of the worse games I ever played. It is in my top ten list of worse games I ever played, but that doesn't change the fact that it is average. I did give it a 75%.

That sounds like a wierd combination of Kafka and Doctor Who.
