  1. Always so realistic....
  2. The Wheel never weaves while that Mandragon fellow holds the license.
  3. They could make a game about watching paint dry on the walls and I still would give them money.
  4. Don't get your hopes up about the Wheel of Time game. It might never happen.
  5. Here are "my ideas" -"The Wire" RPG -"High School" RPG -Original IP that you have pitched but the damn publishers just won't let you make. -"Beta Protocol" I would prefer the combat to be turn based (we really don't need another action-rpg). Though "The Wire" game obviously wouldn't have that much combat. Graphics don't matter as long as it's done stylistically. No romances with everyone and their moms&dads. Freedom of choice and actual consequences to those choices. Punish the player for their idiocy, you can and will fail. Voice acting isn't everything. I can read and I bet others can too. Just voice some of the characters in the game so there's plenty of dialogue around. Most of all, do the project you want to make as a company without the publishers shoveling their ideas down your throats. Hell, make two while you are at it. For the kickstarter thing like Starwars said make it as transparent as possible so we know what we are getting, what the money is used on etc. The documentary idea by Double Fine is also a good idea, something like monthly update from some team member would be great.
  6. It will open/premiere in Finland on 4th of April. I think some movie festivals will show it earlier. The trailer was released 2 days ago.
  7. I guess it depends on which developers start these kind of projects. Some "never heard" developers surely won't make much money, but if you got Tim Schafer / Chris Avellone asking for money people will donate it. Also it depends a lot on the project, Obsidian promising to do old school crpg could raise money as well, there are still plenty of people around who enjoy that kinda games. If both the project and the developer is "prestigious" enough to make it into the gaming site news, then I can see them raising enough money to make a game. Hitting million dollars though, might be difficult as things progress and more and more companies decide to try this. But still anything that helps out the companies is good.
  8. Make it happen. Please.
  9. Oh and good luck Nathan. I just hope it isn't WoW you are going to work on. And please spank your ex-coworkers to spend more time on these boards. The fact you replied to so many posts on DS3 was quite refreshing.
  10. Finally finished Arkham City. Still got some of the sidequests to finish and then I can move on to Dark Souls.
  11. I can't stop laughing at this: Sorry it's in Finnish. But those hobos/drunks will look funny even though non-speaking Finns Anyways the video is about this great plan to move the hobos from a "park" to somewhere else. Social workers and police found them a new spot. The copper even bought them beer from at his own expense. The plan worked perfectly, straight opposite from the church and all, they were there for few days and just moved down to the middle of the town in the market square.
  12. Ye, just noticed it. Didn't read that topic first
  13. Hmm, that link does not work "[#1062] You have no permission to view the Blogs" Is anyone else having problems with it?
  14. Yep, you are right they weren't just sitting around. For example they did the DLCs and some helped on DS3 and who knows how many of that team transferred to South Park team. I think it was Anthony Davis who wrote something about FNV and DS3 being the main reasons they got this project, since they could show how much it would cost them to make the game with Onyx and all that stuff. DS3 was finished some time last spring. To be able to show publishers both the finalized product (DS3) and the budget/resources it took for them to finish it, the game needs to be out. If we follow that logic that would mean the contract was signed last summer/fall and that's when full development most likely started. XBLA = Project Virginia Josh = Project North Carolina
  15. I don't think they will announce it anytime soon if the publisher knows what they are doing. After all the game hasn't been in full development for that long. I would expect announcement late this year.
  16. Victoria 2 as USA. My start went completely bad, I've finally managed to bounce back and conquered American states from Mexico and while I was teaching the Mexicans a lesson the British Empire decided to contain my rising power and attacked me from Canada. They did destroy most of my fleet, but I took their part of Alaska and Manitoba (cutting Canada in half) after a very long fight. Should probably destroy their precense from North America completely...
  17. I think I saw like 2 others + me, who are getting that. I'm disappointed in you son.
  18. Since Morgoth did his list, I'm gonna do mine: Crusader Kings 2 (pre-ordered) Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (Steam sales -75% if it gets decent reviews) Syndicate (Again Steam sales depending on reviews) Max Payne 3 (Same as above) Alan Wake's American Nightmare (Will grab this at some point) Mass Effect 3 (Day 1) Aliens: Colonial Marines (depending on reviews when it hits 7,99 or something like that on Steam, SEEEEEEEEEEEEEGAAAAAA ain't getting more from me) South Park: The Game (Day 1) XCOM: EU (maybe) That's about it. So far seems like a quite bad year for me :/
  19. And here I thought there was actually a Supernatural game in the works, should have watched who started the thread before getting my hopes up.
  20. For me personally something like 30h is fine if the game has proper c&c to motivate me for a 2nd playthrough. 80h game doesn't really get me all excited to play it again... Especially when I still have like 30 games that I haven't finished or even started. Which is exactly why I would have preferred KOTOR 3 to 6 over TOR
  21. People started complaining about the changes the minute patchnotes for the future update were released. That was like week or two ago. It effects you in PvE as well, if you are playing on a PvP server these guys with great gear can gank you pretty easily. Not to mention if you are competetive about the end game, guilds getting "free" loot ***** up the competition for end game kills. I don't know if TOR has this, at least WoW was and is highly competetive when it comes to killing raid bosses.
