  1. So far I've bought: -Nexus the Jupiter Incident -Few addons for Cities in Motion -Gun Runner's pack for FNV -Portal 2 -Duke Nukem Forever Damn Steam.
  2. Wow, now release the 2nd part! :D
  3. Because you know they speak the same language as you do and prove that your sentence was ****ed up. But anyways, this is enough for me about this topic. Back to your regular trolling Voli.
  4. My teachers could write sentences that made sense, you can't. I even went the trouble (yes, it took me like 15 seconds, 15 seconds I won't ever get back) to ask a bunch of my American friends how they understood that sentence and not one of them properly understood you. Good job Can't be bothered to join the Codex. P.S My name isn't Boxxy.
  5. Old World Blues got nominated for a VGA. Go vote people!
  6. "I know how much Square shelled out to Obsidian to make the game, and even if they spent that exact same amount on marketing, which I doubt, the game still made multi-millions for Square." From the Codex thread.
  7. A lot of Battlefield 3. Don't think I've played any other shooter this much since Counter Strike.
  8. Maybe you need to practice your english then, since that point doesn't come across properly in the original post. P.S there was a link to that thread here earlier and I'm pretty sure some/most people actually checked it out since Anthony is posting in it.
  9. Aye, I love it how Volourn "knows" game finances better than the actual people who worked on the game. And by looking at Codex Volly still thinks 100+ people worked on DS3 for 3 years. LOLLIGAGZABALOOOZA!
  10. That would change EVERYTHING. Please do not joke about such things
  11. I know. Which is why I changed my password in the first place. Somehow it got bugged with the new Steam patch or I typoed it twice (old password was working just fine after the whole hacking thing). Then it was still bugging after Valve resetted it, but I think someone just forgot to finish up the task, so when I replied back they actually resetted it like they said they would. Now I've changed it back to something I came up with myself and it's working just fine.
  12. Nah. It can be so many different things that lead to that decision most of them not having anything to do with Obsidian at all.
  13. Been fighting with Steam. After the latest patch on friday I haven't been able to login to my account for some weird reason. I contacted Valve and they even resetted my pw. But it still won't let me in. It just keeps telling me that my pw or account name is wrong, even though I've copypasted it from the email I got from Valve support. Edit: As I was writing this it turns out the password started to work.. I guess my 2nd ticket did some miracles...
  14. Also they got to showcase their engine to the publishers with DS3.
  15. I don't think it would have cost pretty much anything to release a statement about the release date.
  16. Maybe you are right, but Rockstar and Blizzard seems to proove the opposite. Imho, the great problem is that Bioware is not recognized as Rockstar or Blizzard. I mean, no one buy a game because it has the "Bioware" logo. Most buy them because they like they like Bioware RPG style but that's all. I mean, Bioware is not a brand that sells on its own. Having said that I don't know why most of you are allready deducing that it's a straight action game and not (maybe) an action RPG-light like most Bioware titles in the last years. The image does not say anything about the kind of game is going to be, RockStar has succeeded at it, but had they released a subpar Red Dead Redemption the brandname RockStar would have taken a hit. Since there's plenty of people who aren't aware that different people made those games compared to GTAs. I would argue that BioWare is a sort of a brandname as well. People know to expect a certain kind of game, when they see the name BioWare on the box. Also a certain level of quality is expected even though Dragon Age 2 most likely did enough to damage to tarnish some of that reputation.
  17. The game was somewhat popular when it was originally released and even weeks after that. The DLC however was released without any real notification and I'm sure half of the people don't even know it's out.
  18. The cave battle was quite hard to begin with, but once you get hang of it, it should be somewhat easy fight. I remember getting killed like crazy on that fight in the demo. Avoid the "traps" on the ground that spawn skeletons and you won't get overwhelmed.
  19. Who cares it's a game by some BioWare Las Vegas / insert random city name here branch. Oh yeah, idiots who actually think it's the real BioWare making the game. Alvin, you sir are evil.
  20. Sales "expectations" are normally higher than actual sales/shipments. So, its not a big difference. And Alpha Protocol cost a LOT more than DSIII. In every way. Theres not even remotly a comparison here. From what I see it did okish.(Even neogafs comments are mostly positive on that number. NEOGAF) Edit: According to a comment there DSIII even had a much higher (15% more) shipped/sale rate than DX. Aye, Alpha Protocol had way more people working on it and a longer development time. And those "shipped" numbers don't cover digital sales at all. So I would say it wasn't exactly what Squeenix was hoping for, but most likely decent amount that they might make little profit from the game.
  21. Either its finished (since Avellone? said that they were working on two projects at the moment (NY and NC) and that goodbye E-Mail I posted earlier today) and in QA and they are only announcing it a few weeks before release (since its a small project) or cancelled. Ye, I guess it could in Q&A, sidelined for the time being with 2 AAA projects underway, or cancelled.
  22. Hmh, could be. Unless MCA is project director as well.
  23. If you compare the team size to your normal AAA project the team is quite small. Unless they spent massive amount on marketing, I don't see it as a big failure. Especially when they were aiming for one million. A figure that I imagine would have given them a sizeable return instead of just few bucks.
  24. That 820k ain't bad at all if you ask me. Quite small team and not very long development time.
  25. I would imagine the answer to the 1st question is yes. Don't think they can answer to 2nd one.
