  1. Everyone knows it should have been a third person shooter. Now that's real skill. Puked in my mouth a little.
  2. I've got the stronghold. It's only the second castle I've conquered in this game. But they wouldn't let me keep the first one. Which I totally did not expect to be my stronghold at the time. And anyone who tells you otherwise is a slanderer. Or libel, depending on medium. I'll sue!
  3. Even in pong you're playing a role in a game!
  4. I only enjoyed DOW2 enough to get through the campaign. DOW1 was an addiction. I'm glad they're bringing back base building, but they're going to need to reveal more than just a large unit to keep my excitement levels.
  5. No, it's an Imperial Knight. http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Knight The Warhound's baby brother.
  6. http://www.pcgamer.com/dawn-of-war-3-inside-relics-biggest-rts-yet/ A couple screenshots are released, just Space Marines vs Eldar. The marines themselves look pretty low-def, but the Knight looks awesome.
  7. "THREE DEVASTATING FORCES" And here I was thinking they were saving Chaos Marines for a later reveal. I was also hoping that the Necron Lord release for Last Stand meant they were starting with Necrons this time around.
  8. I'm supposed to be playing POE, but there's so much I missed it's hard to focus. I believe the idea is called "choice paralysis." I'm wanting to replay Spec-Ops: The Line, Portal, Dark Souls, Witcher 2 with the DLC I never tried, Dungeon Siege 3 with its DLC, buy Deponia Doomsday, XCOM, Undertale, or rebuy Dragon's Dogma. And then there's Doom 3 BFG and Tomb Raider that simply didn't like Win XP. The next Steam sale is going to kill me. Edit: Oh, and Legacy of the Void. I never did get to see how Starcraft 2 ended. But before I even think about that, I need a refresher run through of the previous parts!
  9. Now that might get me to buy a Call of Duty again.
  10. Seems Activision is bringing back 2142 since EA won't. And then going a bit beyond.
  11. Initial impressions are very positive. Death Godlike Cipher that I think will be two-handing weapons. I did not expect to see anything like that in the very first town. Geeze.
  12. I know I heard disappointment around the game, but I am excited to say that the maiden voyage of my new PC will be Pillars of the Eternity. All I'd ever been able to do with any of the borrowed laptops I had access to was get through character creation and then a horrid unplayable slideshow that had to be shut off immediately past that. I'm actually going in quite blind, which is new for me with games I'm excited about. I didn't see much point following it since I couldn't play it.
  13. Expect to see more of me. It's been 2 years, but I have a PC again. Dell XPS 8900, on sale and open box. Still need to get speakers and I think I'll get a new monitor, but I'm very excited.
  14. The Magic Circle: Gold Edition I don't care what anyone says, Ishmael Gilder is a genius. Anyone who is a true fan of the original text adventure will love it. It'd make sense if you played it. It's actually a game that's an amusing parody of development hell. You go around the game world bringing back deleted content and changing object properties to solve puzzles. Right now I'm tasked with finding a way to kill a couple of the fictional developers.
  15. I was being a bit of a jerk in front of the Nameless King boss fight last night in Dark Souls 3. I'd go Warriors of Sunlight and leave a red soapstone. It looks a lot like a friendly summon sign. And people are rushing so fast to summon they won't double check. So I got a few invasions in that way, but I was trying out the dragon stuff and it's absolutely awful, so I kept dying. I eventually switched over to my normal gear and I did a heck of a lot better. I was surprised. Did regular invasions, ended up in a fightclub with three others and crushed them all. The weapon skill on Lorian's Greatsword is pretty fantastic. L2, R2 combo does heavy damage, buffs the weapon, and sends people flying into the air. And can be initiated with an R1 to stun the enemy for easier followup if they don't dodge spam immediately after. Which they will, so there's that downside. I think so few people know how to use Stomp based moves that nobody is ever prepared for it. Even when I fight other people with the same weapon, they only buff the weapon, never follow up. People think that my buffing the weapon is an opening for them to attack, so they move in closer!
  16. Getting quite a bit more for that car than I expected. Of course it still wasn't paid off, so I'll have to see how much is left after that. But I'm genuinely surprised by what they offered. I might be getting that gaming computer I've been trying to save up for for the past 2-3 years.
  17. Why's it seem like stuff is going bad? Oh wait, I posted about my cat? Yeah, he's eating again. Doing fine. Except one spot of mysteriously disappearing hair that has to be tested. The hailstorm that came through and basically wrecked the town is the big thing now.
  18. That sucks! Also the roof is still leaking. And our neighborhood had a power outage at 6 am that was still out as of 7 when I left for work.
  19. The car is officially totaled.
  20. SCP-093 as the setting for a modern era Dark Souls clone. Investigate destroyed worlds with bizarre technology, get invaded by players from yet other worlds doing the same. Piece together what happened from logs and stuff.
  21. It's like Bloodborne now, you can set a password and then you can co-op with a friend. But you still have to trade bosses for progression, FYI.
  22. I've only beat two bosses (counting tutorial boss), but I've played 5 hours. This is mainly because I'm obsessed with cheap Ember, so I'm constantly throwing down co-op signs. I hate not being embered, but I don't want to spend my own. This also overlevels me like crazy.
  23. Sounds like insurance should cover it. Deductible is in percentage, though. So we'll see how that goes.
  24. I did some Wasteland Workshop last night. Rebuilt the storage for my power armor into concrete, set up Sanctuary to run off a single fusion generator, replaced most of my power pylons with street lamps, and even played around with cages. Two more levels until I can tame the things I capture. But when I opened the deathclaw cage last night it was mythic, level 91. Time to see if it's the same when I reload.
  25. Starting a new thread. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/86008-what-you-did-today/
