  1. Still on Steins;Gate. I really like this game. I just got an ending, a premature ending, and then fast forwarded a second playthrough to avoid that to progress into Chapter 7. I also gave Soma a brief try a couple days ago. I like the opening.
  2. Steins;Gate. It's keeping me more interested than Dangan Ronpa Another Episode did. Geeze, I'm like 20 hours into this game and I'm sure there's three chapters to go.
  3. El Psy Kongroo >.>
  4. A little bit of Dangan Ronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair girls. Dangan Ronpa is the only reason I own a Playstation TV. This one has me running around shooting murderous teddy bears with a megaphone. Very weird. Not as good as the main series titles, which are more of visual novels. Also playing Steins;Gate. A visual novel from 2009, finally released on PS3 in the US this month. I hear great things and it's already interesting with about an hour played.
  5. It just makes business sense. DA2 it didn't make sense to do a new run and ad campaign. Mass Effect games sell well enough on their own that they didn't want to cut into DLC profits by bundling. Dragon Age they expected to be able to renew interest in a declining tail this way.
  6. It's not random. It's used on missions that require it, which tend to be the mission at the very top.
  7. Combat Deployment is where you use Battle Gear. You build nukes on the resource screen. I found out that the guy who stole it from me is also in the nuke disarmament trade, he just didn't see my emblem. I've decided not to murder his entire FOB.
  8. Stole my second nuke to dismantle last night, but couldn't actually complete that before going to bed. Someone stole it back while I was asleep. I will unleash such a fury tonight.
  9. Did my first invasion in MGSV's FOB system. I'm joined up with people trying to disarm nukes, finally found a guy with some, and infiltrated. I died to a UAV on the second strut of his command center.
  10. Metal Gear Solid V My guys are sick. Nearly 300 dudes in quarantine. I don't want them all to die. But I might waste a little time changing my loadout to nonlethal. The shotgun looks sweet.
  11. Is the Mad Max game that good? Because I'm surprised to see so many people talking about a game that was, up til release, only viewed as a movie tie-in shovelware.
  12. Finally got Quiet, just can't use her as a buddy yet.
  13. Metal Gear Solid V, Danganronpa: Another Episode, and Stein;s Gate should all be arriving today. I'm so enthusiastic that I can not conceal it.
  14. Played around with Until Dawn's final chapter. Turning off vibration makes Don't Move easy.
  15. To hazard a guess, I think the main quests were done internally at Edmonton. The open world parts might be the result of those job postings we heard for EA Shanghai to work on Dragon Age. This is why there's such disconnect between the two.
  16. Only way I can push through replaying that game is by sticking to the main questline as much as possible. The side content, by and large, is incredibly boring. I still don't know how they came to the decision to make it "open world" and thought those quests would be good. Said it before, I guess it's time to say it again, that game is simply weird because it seems like two games taped together. There's the big open world and then there's the actual plot quests. The two almost never interact! Like going ahead with some plot quests changes what enemies appear in the first open world area, but that's as good as it gets. The plot quests are actually pretty fantastic. But the fact that they chose to not do anything important in the open world really makes it feel like you're wasting your time running around, only farming points to access the next plot segment.
  17. Finished Until Dawn last night.
  18. I like Until Dawn. Feels like a solid teen slasher flic. It's good a bunch of cheesy jump scares and I like them. But I'm mainly propelled along by the mystery of what's going on.
  19. I bought Until Dawn today. I also found out two more games I was looking forward to come out next week, so I'm set for a while. Danganronpa Another Episode and Stein;s Gate PS3 in addition to Metal Gear Solid V. Poor Planetside 2.
  20. I'm missing the old Planetside. Pre-BFR at least. Planetside 2 is fun, but there's no real base sieges. I miss sitting at the bottom of the base, waiting for the back door to open. Now there's just chaos. There's no doors, the bases are all accessed from a million directions, two or three entrances, a bunch of windows, stairs to the roof, and we end up just fighting over that single room and then going back to spreading out through the entire base. The game needs a good fighting in hallways base, at least.
  21. Catch-a-ride!
  22. Feargus is on the advisory board, whatever that is, for a new crowdfunding platform. Alongside Tim Schafer and Brian Fargo. https://www.fig.co/about
  23. Lots of Planetside 2. Today that might change with Tales from the Borderlands getting a new episode. Real excited for that. Trying to decide what class I'm going to start improving next. I'm an Expert Combat Medic who's almost an Expert with Assault Rifles. Got my Magrider where I want it, too. Might go SMG Infiltrator since that was my old PS1 class, but I wouldn't be able to C4 AMS. Might go Light Assault so I can get on rooftops and C4 AMS
  24. I'm more curious what Obsidian is doing after MCA. The tank game, an expansion to PoE. Anything else? Seems like ages since Obsidian made a game I was looking forward to (that wasn't Kickstarted). Brian Heinz is the lead designer/project director on an unannounced RPG, per Antony Davis. What is the history of this Brian? WHat projects he had a notable role in the past? Project New Jersey/Seven Dwarves
  25. Clearly this is just a ploy to increase ratings for a season. He's still going to show up as an ascended being from time to time until the next ratings slump and they can advertise that they're bringing him back full time.
