  1. I can see it. 6 is my favorite.
  2. I think I'm going to just have to watch a Let's Play of Warrior Within. I'm playing along and I get stuck. "Where do I go?! This just leads me in circles!" I check a walkthrough "Uh huh, I see, I was doing that, uh hu--- what? A cutscene will play that opens a whole in the wall? No cutscene played when I got there. I better reload a save." I reload the save and... the Prince is now weird looking. Black and grey with blue glowing eyes and shadowy stuff streaming. Taking constant damage. I don't think that's right... I'll settle for Youtube. Edit: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I had even more bugs than I thought, seeing the LP. The portal I was at when I saved wasn't even supposed to be active. I was supposed to do a puzzle first. I thought it weird when the Prince said something about it, yet I just walked into it.
  3. Captain America. Good, not great. Stay after the credits for an Avengers trailer.
  4. We thought the same about Oklahoma City. And even at trial people kept trying to link McVeigh to Islamic extremists. But you're probably right, anyway.
  5. Can't say. They apprehended the shooter, he's in custody.
  6. SWG was very nice for its sandbox element. Which you won't see in TOR. Player economy, all equipment player made, player housing (which was player made), player cities. In the sandbox v theme park debate, it clearly sided with sandbox. Combat was broken from day one.
  7. They were something like a couple of hours apart. Attacking social democrats like that makes me more think neo-nazis, something political anyway. And that we don't know they're linked yet. Shooting could be an opportunist.
  8. Someone's claimed? I thought nobody had yet. Time to double check my news sites.
  9. I'm wary. As a general rule I absolutely abhore dungeon crawlers. But I somehow enjoyed Torchlight. Is this game likely to be another exception?
  10. I find myself now hyped for Space Pirates and Zombies. Purkake mentions it in the OP. The trailer looks pretty awesome. http://store.steampowered.com/video/107200/80950 I kind of imagine building a ton of small ships with cloaking devices and just doing hit and run. Interesting info on SPAZ. http://www.spacepiratesandzombies.com/foru...f=17&t=1479 A game that's on sale, but beta, has made 1/3rd the development back with Gamersgate, Impulse, and direct sales.
  11. Yes/No There is a key, I don't remember what it is. But it has a range limit and a cooldown.
  12. Requesting permission to squeal like a fangirl.
  13. -Obsidian's interesting to me in that they've done a wide variety of types of RPGs. KOTOR 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2 were the more traditional party based affairs. Alpha Protocol was a solo cinematic style. New Vegas is open world and sandbox. Dungeon Siege 3 was more hack and slash. Does each style of RPG provide a unique challenge in comparison? If so, what new challenges did Dungeon Siege 3 present? -When will I get to eat another god?
  14. The Longest Journey didn't interest you? Only because you already own it, right?
  15. Maybe some of you guys knew about this, but I didn't. http://literallyunbelievable.org/ It's a site that lists facebook postings where people took The Onion seriously. Do not visit if you're allergic to ellipses abuse.
  16. I'm checking the sarifindustries.com and occasionally something is popping up in the top right. Is it new? Talks about "security breach detected."
  17. The required drug angle is new (as far as I know). Wonder how much of that video will turn out to be a Purity First lie and how much of it will be accurate, but hidden from the perspective of a Sarif employee like Jensen. Or maybe the "drug" is just what they use to replace power cells.
  18. Impressive. Most impressive.
  19. Not quite. It's based on some WETA steampunk character, Dr. Grordborts. http://www.teamfortress.com/grordborts/ WETA's site for him: http://www.drgrordborts.com/dr-grordbort-s...meets-violence/
  20. Can we get back to discussing "DLC or expansions" and not each other, pretty please?
  21. Team Fortress 2 got an interesting update last night. Some WETA designed models introduced a couple of ray guns to the Soldier. Pew pew.
  22. On reflection, an only moderately worn dystopia with light anachronisms is disturbingly underdone.
  23. I think I would disagree with you there. New characters seem the kind of stuff a DLC could be good for, especially if they simply work on the base of a scratched character. What I could really see in an expansion is more powers by stance though, along with a follow-up on the story and new characters. But DLC characters wouldn't fit into the story very well. Even if it was a cut character, unless it was cut very late. You'd have to get all the voice actors back in the studio for the more complex interactions, as well. Think about a character as fully integrated as Anjali, who has the entire plot thread of the Archons backing her up and is readily discussed by the others.
  24. I'd prefer expansions. I could see DLC coming out and would likely enjoy it, but my primary interest is in seeing new characters representing different playstyles and archetypes. I think expansions would fit into that better than DLC would.
