  1. Anyone else get an e-mail about a Bethesda forums security breach?
  2. Beat Ben There, Dan That and followed it up with Time Gentlemen, Please. Good game too. Now I'm debating getting into Drakensang: River of Time. Bastion and SPAZ come out this week, so I won't be able to commit to it.
  3. Ben There, Dan That and Heroes of Might and Magic 5 Ben There, Dan That is fun enough for the 1.25 I payed for it . The writing is very strong, very funny, the item puzzles aren't anything exceptional.

I'm back to Symphony of Science stuff. Children of Africa brings a tear to my eye, for some reason. And now I want to read Zubrin's book.
  6. Another point for Clemens!
  7. I'm having trouble getting past the absurd licensing. Batman is one of the better license they (were forced) to use. Batman is a good license. It's not a good license for an FPS. And they're making a rather wacky spin on it that made West's Batman look like serious business. It's just weird. I'm okay with weird, usually. But this is out of left field.

  9. Only if they're referring to the PC copies. Online Pass systems are primarily for consoles. Steamworks does that function and more, so they may only be referring to consoles.
  10. I'll have to check it out. What... what... what Never really cared for their tech, though. But they made really good games.
  11. I'm scared. If the vocal group (minority or majority, whatever they be) actually like this game, my entire view of the world will be shattered. I may go catatonic.
  12. He's inconsistent. Mortal Kombat was pretty faithful. The 2nd Resident Evil movie showed he clearly played Resident Evil 3. But the rest of the Resident Evil movies? He has no room to talk against Tomb Raider. More faithful than what he's done.
  13. The latter. There are not enough products for even a semblance of a unifying style to form. I'll disagree with your reasoning. There's some commonalities between the likes of Risen, Gothic, Two Worlds, Divinity 2, and even The Witcher for a subgenre classification. ...no? You've cited wildly different titles, half of which aren't Eastern European anyway. Origin is irrelevant to the classification. You don't class games by origin, but by similarities of game content and/or play. If you have a better name for the class, I'd welcome it. And I'll disagree that they're wildly different. Though my play with a couple of the titles wasn't thorough. Because it's painful to admit just how few RPG developers aren't developing in that style. Three, and they're all American. Don't take away my denial! Well, then there's the diablo clones.

There's some commonalities between the likes of Risen, Gothic, Two Worlds, Divinity 2, and even The Witcher for a subgenre classification. Doing some brief research, the specific nomenclature simply isn't settled. Not that the distinction doesn't exist.
  15. Germany is Eastern Europe now? God, I need to revamp my geography! Typically when someone mentions a geographicallocationRPG, they're referring to the style popularly associated with the region, not the origin. Though they often caveat it. "Septerra Core is a jRPG, but made in wherever!" I mean, who gives a crap where it was actually made? If I'm wrong about it being the same style as Eastern European RPGs feel free to correct me on that. I may in fact be using "Eastern European RPG" wrong altogether, and it may be a more general european style.
  16. Terraria is a great game. I'll bite you for that! The trailer looked interesting enough. But I need to make time for the first game, first. I'm in a place of second guessing all eastern european RPGs.
  17. I'm actually really looking forward to Space Marine.
  18. Correct. Which means they either lied or were mistaken. It does not mean that they were not justified. It does raise doubts. Unless you firmly believe that an armed suspect must be allowed to fire first.
  19. The deceased did have a gun, so I don't know that I'd say it wasn't justified. He just never fired it.
  20. As long as you're trying. So long as you're not just to drop a link and vanish.
  21. Well, it's on topic. Think you'll be able to participate with the community on it? Take and respond to feedback? If any discussion can grow out of it, at least, that'd be good.
  22. Maybe they should get roaving groups of police commandos, running around behind the lines of the riots, looking for looters to hit with bean bags. That'd make a fun game.
  23. Unless it's Mr. Popper's Penguins X. Because that movie is going to be a gigantic success and kickstart the next great franchise.
  24. Nobody knows yet. They could simply be disabled if you're offline. Or have defaults. Or use the most recently cached ones (which could also be defaults). Or be always online.
  25. My comment was more about your passion for the sport than for the difference in how its played.
