  1. I'm scared. If the vocal group (minority or majority, whatever they be) actually like this game, my entire view of the world will be shattered. I may go catatonic.
  2. He's inconsistent. Mortal Kombat was pretty faithful. The 2nd Resident Evil movie showed he clearly played Resident Evil 3. But the rest of the Resident Evil movies? He has no room to talk against Tomb Raider. More faithful than what he's done.
  3. The latter. There are not enough products for even a semblance of a unifying style to form. I'll disagree with your reasoning. There's some commonalities between the likes of Risen, Gothic, Two Worlds, Divinity 2, and even The Witcher for a subgenre classification. ...no? You've cited wildly different titles, half of which aren't Eastern European anyway. Origin is irrelevant to the classification. You don't class games by origin, but by similarities of game content and/or play. If you have a better name for the class, I'd welcome it. And I'll disagree that they're wildly different. Though my play with a couple of the titles wasn't thorough. Because it's painful to admit just how few RPG developers aren't developing in that style. Three, and they're all American. Don't take away my denial! Well, then there's the diablo clones.
  4. The latter. There are not enough products for even a semblance of a unifying style to form. I'll disagree with your reasoning. There's some commonalities between the likes of Risen, Gothic, Two Worlds, Divinity 2, and even The Witcher for a subgenre classification. Doing some brief research, the specific nomenclature simply isn't settled. Not that the distinction doesn't exist.
  5. Germany is Eastern Europe now? God, I need to revamp my geography! Typically when someone mentions a geographicallocationRPG, they're referring to the style popularly associated with the region, not the origin. Though they often caveat it. "Septerra Core is a jRPG, but made in wherever!" I mean, who gives a crap where it was actually made? If I'm wrong about it being the same style as Eastern European RPGs feel free to correct me on that. I may in fact be using "Eastern European RPG" wrong altogether, and it may be a more general european style.
  6. Terraria is a great game. I'll bite you for that! The trailer looked interesting enough. But I need to make time for the first game, first. I'm in a place of second guessing all eastern european RPGs.
  7. I'm actually really looking forward to Space Marine.
  8. Correct. Which means they either lied or were mistaken. It does not mean that they were not justified. It does raise doubts. Unless you firmly believe that an armed suspect must be allowed to fire first.
  9. The deceased did have a gun, so I don't know that I'd say it wasn't justified. He just never fired it.
  10. As long as you're trying. So long as you're not just to drop a link and vanish.
  11. Well, it's on topic. Think you'll be able to participate with the community on it? Take and respond to feedback? If any discussion can grow out of it, at least, that'd be good.
  12. Maybe they should get roaving groups of police commandos, running around behind the lines of the riots, looking for looters to hit with bean bags. That'd make a fun game.
  13. Unless it's Mr. Popper's Penguins X. Because that movie is going to be a gigantic success and kickstart the next great franchise.
  14. Nobody knows yet. They could simply be disabled if you're offline. Or have defaults. Or use the most recently cached ones (which could also be defaults). Or be always online.
  15. My comment was more about your passion for the sport than for the difference in how its played.
  16. And ours doesn't cause riots.
  17. How could I forget your football.
  18. Does this happen in the UK often enough to have police who are accustomed?
  19. McDonald's has more power than the government.
  20. If you put soldiers on riot control, would you still issue them assault rifles? The problem there seems obvious enough to circumvent. Not that a bunch of soldiers with riot shields and billy clubs are going to be harmless, but it's not quite what I think you're implying.
  21. I got two paychecks yesterday, so I celebrated by buying HoM&M 5. For some stupid reason, buying the Heroes pack (Heroes 5, 2 expansions, Dark Messiah) is cheaper than buying the Heroes of Might & Magic 5 pack (Heroes 5, 2 expansions). Steam is normally good about that for the US.
  22. Who's drinking tea while wearing a monocle now, eh? Hope all of you gents are okay.
  23. Stealth is broken in the game, and that's a big letdown for me. I'm only about the second mission so far and they encourage you to play it stealthily, but enemies spot you from across the map, so I'm not sure the point of it.
  24. Yes, a peaceful solution is possible.
  25. I just checked Direct 2 Drive (They have the guide), Impulse, Gamersgate, and Green Man Gaming. Nope. Only one I can find are disc copies. Like at Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Knights-Ol...3162&sr=8-1 And, oddly enough, I think I saw it at my local Target sometime in the past week.
