  1. In BSN? I can understand it here or in Witcher forums or RPGCodex, but Bioware's own forum isn't supposed to be Bioware fans? Who do you think would be most disappointed with Bioware's recent titles if not their fans? The ones with the greatest hope are often those hit the hardest by bitter disappointment.
  2. I've seen the criticism against Morrigan's new look, and he's not wrong. He's not entirely right either. It's not just misogyny, there's just a general pettiness out there towards anything Bioware. Misogyny is just a common tool in that particular box. There's not a lot of good signal to read in that feedback. Full disclaimer: I actually like the look. So I may be biased.
  3. http://www.giantbomb.com/articles/microsoft-to-pull-complete-reversal-on-xbox-one-dr/1100-4673/ Giantbomb is reporting that Microsoft is reversing their DRM plans. I'm glad to hear this. It'll give them a better ability to compete this coming generation. Edit: Oh, that Game Informer article is talking about the Giantbomb report.
  4. Only Tales I've played was Vesperia. It was a solid game, but not enough that I'm willing to put off my backlog for further titles.
  5. No real playtime today, just messing around in the already beaten Antichamber. I'm looking at my plate for the forseeable future. Currently doing The Last of Us, then have Shadow Hearts: Covenant, and Deadly Premonition. Shadowrun Returns will probably be out before I finish all three. This was supposed to be the year I made progress on my backlog...
  6. I bought Antichamber on an impulse and used that as my break from Last of Us for yesterday. Ended up playing it until 1:30 AM. I think that's a positive feeling. Sadly, I did beat it in those 5 hours.
  7. The Last of Us. I've never been good with tense games, so I had to take a break after a few hours to read a book. It's fantastic.
  8. Found out I arranged the wrong return flight for my boss next week. And by "wrong" I mean "the week after next." And I did this on Tuesday, so it's too late for a cancellation. Doing a change would actually cost more than doing a new reservation just for the return. QQ
  9. Finished Penny-Arcade 4. It seems to have forgotten to be funny towards the end. I still liked it, it just may be the weakest installment.
  10. I think this is, from my subjective point of view, the most accurate review I've seen of the game. I think I remember a great deal of the game. Especially the third act. And that's the part preventing me from even trying a replay.
  11. Still playing Penny Arcade 4. Shadow Hearts: Covenant arrived, so I'll be hitting that up with a break for Last of Us once this is done.
  12. Metal Gear Solid V has a red band trailer up. Just search for Metal Gear Solid V extended. Given that it is red band, I won't link it myself.
  13. For our walking dead fans.
  14. Wish I could have played Xenoblade.
  15. I liked Morrigan, I think she was just saddled with the responsibility of reinforcing the choices that lacked any real reason to take them. Someone's got to say "good job" when you punch an orphan and she was the only one around to do it. Outside of her unfortunate duties in the scheme of choice reinforcement, she was an interesting and complex character. There's probably something to be said about not having petty options because they require petty reinforcements, but that's for another time. I also like the redesign. Which gives me hope that my bitterness hasn't totally overtaken me.
  16. It's not a BLUR pre-render, but that doesn't mean anything. In-engine doesn't mean real time. Though it's a fair idea that's their intended art direction. BLUR always did bizarre revisions. No telling how close they'll get to that graphical quality, however.
  17. And Sony spends most of their PS4 reveal talking about anything but games. I guess Microsoft's early reveal was smart. This left E3 for all games.
  18. I think Dragon Age 3 has a very interesting trailer. The Witcher 3's trailer was very boring by comparison, but was more in-game. I fully believe Bioware is able to deliver on their promises. Functionally capable, anyway. Why they choose not to is beyond me and I'm still wary from the gross misrepresentation of Mass Effect 3's ending. There's no trust there. I doubt The Witcher will be the ultimate RPG or anything like that. I sometimes struggle to see it as an RPG at all. But it will be a solid title from capable hands that know what their audience is looking for (sex, violence, choice, moral complexity) and advance themselves with each installment.
  19. Hopefully someone's just tossing around buzzwords.
  20. I've been calling it. And despite being a Claudia Black and Morrigan fanboy, I can't bring myself to be excited. :/
  21. It's one of their highest profile franchise, thinking about it. And hey, that title doesn't even really look awful (though it didn't look good either). I thought it looked fantastic. But if it has mictransactions, I won't look at it any further.
  22. I want to see it, but I don't know if it's because I still have hope or just because I want to reinforce my negative assumptions.
  23. They already have.
  24. Don't ruin Killer Instinct for me. I wasted so many quarters on Sabrewolf. I would beat the entire ladder on a single quarter (or was it when 1 credit was two quarters?) at Six Flags.
  25. Too bad it's a dumb Kinect game :/ And there dies my enthusiasm.
