KotoR 3: Ideas, Suggestions, Discussion
Watchman replied to CoM_Solaufein's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I like the the idea of eather starting with a saber or getting one FAST. I don't feel like a Jedi if my char is too pathetic to creat one. I also like the idea of starting the game in an academy. You can learn to control your char while you "learn" how to be a basic Jedi. I would REALY like it if they could pace it out so that you get the chance to work your way up as a char. Starting out fighting ppl that are wimpy (but hard for you, having just started) only to become more powerful and find them just as hard is stupid. I think a good gradient would be to fight training droids (to learn how to play), them end up out in an area where no one knows how to fight but will anyways (as they think they can just jump you), then groups of them, then get some ppl that have a little training in weapons, then groups of them, then trained soldiers and/or bounty hunters, then groups..., then dark sith, then..., etc, As you get better you should REALY find that you ARE better. Where you had trouble fighting a guy, you should latter find yourself fighting ten of them at once. After that, I expect them to NEVER be a problem again! All too often you find that some punk with little triaining with a blaster is hard for you to kill when you are a high lvl char, what is that about? A great solution for the ending areas is to have to fight shear numbers, after all, not one of them can equal you, but 30 at once just might be able to. But plz note that this does not make each of the 30 guys hard, it makes them all at once hard to keep the challange up. Another thing is that K3 has got to do something to save the Republic, it is @#$%up. You get to really mess it up in the first 2 games. You got to do smething about that or there will be no Emporer and no Vader. -
Whos YOUR favorite baddie in SW?
Watchman replied to ThEvIlLiAgEiDiOt's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I say Vader. They made 6 movies and the whole SW popularity started with the man behind the mask, hissing that he is Luke's father. No one could stop him. It is said of many that they could do anything if they put their mind to it. Only he did just that in just about EVERYTHING he did. It was the Emporer that planed, but it was Vader that exicuted those planes and was the source of the Emporer's power. So long as Vader served the Emporer, the Emporer was untuchable and well.. the emporer. He was a high calibar man that made the rest of the galaxy ride in his wake. Vader rules - plz note that Anakin was a joke and only just managed to get with it in the 3rd episode. -
I voted Taris. I go with the 2 guys above me. I don't like eather. I hated how long they were. I don't mind the lvls, I hate that I solve one problem only to find I have to solve another. It seams so stupid to me that you have to go thru so much to get off Taris. I mean Bastila could get out on her own, why what for me? And the Ebon Hawk is the fastest ship in space right? And that you can't cut open a door or thru a wall on Perogus and get out of there. I would not mind the lvls if they were shorter. Sure, you could stick around if you wanted to but the secund time thru you should be able to move on. Up to when I found the Jedi Mod for K1, I would have voted for Perogus. I wanted to be a Jedi, lvling was great but you would never get those lvls back when you are a Jedi. After the mod I had more fun there. I was desporate to get off both Taris and Perogus. Perogus is so pointless in that it is so liner in an ilogical way, If you can reprogram driods then I would have had them cut me a path into the hanger. Instead, I find I am taking the full unguided tour of the facility. Just before you go out onto the exsteror of the astiroid you will find yourself at the 3 shielded blast doors. What is that about? It is open air all around the doors!!! Like a blast is not going to come at you from the ledge your standing next to and is going to direct itself thru the doors for your convienence! every time I get there I stare at them imaging ways to get around them: cut the side of the doors to turn then off, stand on the railing and step around the doors, etc.. but the game won't let me. <_< In the end I find I have more fun on Taris while I am lvling as a Jedi.

I got NWN 2 and and I am into the third act. In playing it I am now able to give my own opinion of the game as oppost to "first impression". You guys did good. ^_^ The game is improved. The story is great. The graphics have been overhauled and fit right in to what us gamers expect from new games on the PC. All and all you guys deserve to be acknowledged for a job well done. It can hurt your pride to hear ppl put down EVERYTHING you do. We all know that KOTOR 2 was not the end result you were going for. As the only game to your record you may have not gotten the the kind of reviews you deserve. With NWN 2 you have proven that you guys have made it as a company that can do some great games. I look forward to your future games.

Yes, no Xmas release dates! (w00t) Bad. We have seen this b4. :'( We want quality, we aready have quantity. -
There were alot of times I would have liked to have said something and had no option. Or even worse, saw a line and selected it only to find it was a lightside or darkside statement that had NOTHING to do with what I meant. I saw a post about Mass Effect having a dialog that sums up what you are going to say. I think that would be better. After all, there are a lot of ways to say "dude", each changing the meaning. The best conversation in my opinion was the one with Atris, when you first meat her they had some really good lines that point out the obvious and thus get down to the real problem. I wish they would have done that for the rest of the game. I was going to explode at one point when I was in the trial and saw what the options were. At that point I wanted to say "I think everyone here knows we needed to stop the Mandelorians, Revan did too. Right or wrong, we need to protect the Republic. This is one of our most imporaint trusts. The Republic asked for our help. Then cried for it, and still you did nothing. This council has commited a far greater crime than I, yet it seams that you are judging me. At least we DID SOMETHING. Perhaps Revan would not have fallen if he was not all on his own, having to fight any urg to obay this council in faver of his own better judgment." That is a mouthful, but it was the truth, and with it said, I would have felt better.

I ran up and down that base soooo many times when I first got to it and again when I replayed the game just to be sure I couldn't get in. I even used a cheat (force sight) to see inside. Later I found out it was the droid factory and the game has no such area in the playable version. I also used force sight on the warehouse in Nar Shadaa docks. There is nothing in there eather, just a space and 2 exits. I have not seen anything on that space in the in hte TSL project but hope there will be.

I vote for G0-T0. He is the most useless guy around. In real life I would have told him to go do something and then jumped on the Ebon Hawk and left him on a planet to rot. Kriea was very useful, for her XP boost and all the added powers. But I hated her when I first got to Nar Shadaa and she tells you your actions are wrong, I went back and redid it the lightside way only to have her still say "you are wrong"! And the cream of the crop is that at the end she says I don't understand her lessons! She is right! I have played the game thru, like 7 times and still don't! When I played the game thru light side, I liked Atris. I didn't understand why I had to leave her at the academy, another thing, why do they call it the "Jedi Academy"? There are no students there, nore have there been any. I choked that one up to the cut content but if anyone knows, please fill me in. Anyway, I think she should have been someone you could add to your party, they should add a change to latter games so that you can choose your companions. Oh, and HK rocks! He is the only one in your party that knows what he is doing and not of two minds about it. Edit: For spoiler reasons, I have chosen my words carefuly to not give later material of the game away.

I think KOTOR 1 is a better game as far as the thing makes sense! It has a realy good story telling that makes you ---- in your pants the first time you face Malik. (w00t) You get so pumped by the end, killing your frends, seeing the starforge and then raiding it. Then you have K2, you quickly feel like you have all this freedom to build yourself up. You may not realize how restricted you were in K1. Suddenly you feel like a god! but then you get all confused about what the ---- in going on, you end up just playing thru and thinking you may be able to understand it better the secound time thru. Then the secound time comes and the understanding does not... I saw a news release by Lucas Arts that said that they are NOT working on KOTOR 3... YET. It said that they are doing cutting backs on the number of stuff going on and lining it up so they work on only a few tiltes at a time, I think they said latter thet they would release 2 games per year, and that they will pickup new projects as ones complete. And to be honest, why work on K3 when K2 is still not completed by that restoration project.

Favourite/Least Favourite Planet
Watchman replied to Diego Varen's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I have to go with: K1 Fav: Star Forge because the place is just so cool. And right behind it I have always liked Manaan, from the first time I saw it, I though the floating city looked cool - not the underwater part. Dis: Taris, it stood between me and being a Jedi. :'( You only get 20 lvls and I was always like, @%&$ this, I want to be a Jedi so I would not level my char, but that made it a %$#@* to get thru - grrrr  K2 Fav: Onderon, I've had some good moments there. " Dis: Perogus, I think I dislike it the most just because I have done it so much, the whole thing is one long mundane trip, not many options <_< -
Just beat the game, what was your level...

Level 28 Jedi Master. -
Nar-shadaa is a good place to go the items you need to build your own lightsaber. If you just want to "find" one you will need to fight one of the Jedi Masters. Well... you don't neeed to fight him ... but I like too.

NICE!!! I am new to what you guys are doing at Team-Gizka and very happy to hear it!. It seems that this game is very hot stuff having followed one of the biggiest RPGs in history (within the top 10 I beleive). You are doing alot with this "Mod" -the word seems rather odd for such a large project. I am a huge fan of KOTOR, and love the powers and skills KOTOR 2 had to offer, but the story was... well you know better than I. I have a few questions if you don't mind: How much would you say will be added to the game in terms of story and playing time? I am using mods in the game already, how reseptive will the game be to mods after adding one as exstansive as yours? -I tend to think I will not need them all after adding yours but how sensitive will the game be to more mods after that? Are you doing anything to the powers, feats, or classes in the game? Thats it, and good luck, I will be following your progress.
