In the time line you can do just about anything you want. Even the Empire did not desrtoy the Jedi. It just got the ones that said they where Jedi. Any that where realy good or turned and ran still lived on. Like the history of the Jedi Civil War, the jedi disapeared only to come out of the wood work later. Just don't forget one thing, you can't use a "long, long" time after the Empire. Thats now.

If we use time as a seporator, you can see that there is a point when she started on her efforts to stop others from using the force. Before that time she was using it for something. It looks correct to say she got into alot of areas of its use, including healing. Then at somepoint she stoped.

lol, my highest ever lvl was 99. I pulled up a save game (also at the end of the game) and used alot of cheats after I finnished the game just to find out more about them. :D

Don't care. There are two ways they can go: A. More worlds, B. Bigger worlds I doubt that you will see both. I see people asking for both. I my opinion eather in fine. As long as it is more. If they just went the route of more planets, you would hear someone say "there is not enough on each planet". If they went the other route they would need to not make it all look the same or ... more problems. Eather way they should work on making more to be explored so that you don't have to feel the universe is limited to your story line. Try just creating an area so as to have an area. What I would like to see is stuff that compliments the world. I mean that you see a medical area that has no doctors, no place for doctors to work, no place for supplies and not even something that looks like medical work being done. So how can you beleive it is a hispital? If they would make what they have more real, I would be happy. P.S. They need to add more people just walking around. I find it hard to believe some of the areas have only 4 people or guards in important areas.

Question 1. Yes you do need a new hard drive. You have damage that is teminable. Often it is from plater decay or surface damage that has destoroyed part of the plater. This condition often gets worse over time as loose debree bounces around causing further damage. Question 2. 100GB is fine but as hard drives get beter you may consider a larger one. Just be sure to note the type of connector on your computer to be sure that you have a compatibale drive. Question 3. Hard drives that have the kind of problem you mentioned have suface damage. With this kind of problem, often large areas of the drive are fine. But the bad areas cause problems that disrupt and crash the computer over time. Worse, as I said before, it can spread resulting in a greater damage that further speeds the demise of the drive. Question 4. If it was a heating problem all your problems would go way if you got in better cooling. 40GB drives from 3-4 year ago do not have big heat issues and so cooling would be easy even in a hot room. Also, your data is not lost. You can copy onto your new drive. Any pyhsical problems can not be transfered by software copying. However damaged software can be. If something fails to run on your orignal drive it always has a potental to not work when copied eather. Good luck.

I think the originator of this thread has the answer he was looking for: 1. AI casts $ to develop that most companies don't think will pay off 2. AI is processor intensive cutting into the ability of the game to expand in other fields 3. Games are limited simulations of enviornments on which only the limits of the game can be worked with. AI can know all variables in the game. Only enough is needed to give the player a challange. Beyond that it could flatten players and become a problem. Most of what people comment on when talking about AI is beter enviornment simulation that must be build into a game before the AI can use it. I believe that is small list of what has come up so far.

The game looks quite cool!! It is DirectX 10!! But if that is a problem for anyone, know that it is also has a DirectX 9 version for anyone that has yet to spent all the $$$$ to get a full DirectX 10 machine to play it on.

If not, I am guessing you have at least some someone around there that likes the saber mods and knows of some that will work with it. Btw, I love this bat guy -> I think he is funny. :D

Good you got it running. But just to ask, have you tried updating your graphics driver? You may just have a very early edition of the driver that came with your laptop, or worse you may be using a windows driver (all of which are just enough to get the desktop and little elss running). Try going to Toshiba's web site and looking for your Toshiba M55 Satelite Laptop graphics driver. It may be that you can get more out of your laptop with a newer driver.

I would love to go star treking! Well... sort of... But seeing new worlds and some of the really cool acomplishemnts (like floating cities and city worlds) also what ever incredible sights there are to be seen on different worlds. In other worlds I like to be take a galaxic tour. :D Then go learn about the Jedi (maybe even become one). That would rock!

Each addition to the game, i.e. KOTOR 1 and 2, looks to be headed in the direction of increasing the range of what you can do. I don't know if K3 will let you go all over the planet but I sure you will get to walk around in a much bigger world. That K3 is going to take longer to come out is a drag but look at WHY! They are spending the time to give each game the time it needs to get up tp being good. This means K3 will not be rushed! :joy: And it means it will not show up with the same engene K1 and K2 had. :D I don't know about the whole D20 thing. And I am sure that it will not be the Mass Effect engene, that after all is a first person shooter.

This is not an effort to sell anything. I just thought it was cool. How do I know if they are real? I never thought that would come up, the site has many others of magnets doing all the stuff you would exspect. But who wants to see that? There was more with water but the one I posted is enough. Ya, these 8800 cards cool, but they are also so new, we will not see them realy do what they were made to do until the following critearia are met: The cards need up-to-date computers They need Microsoft Windows Vista The games need DirectX 10 encoded games Until then they are just kick @#$ X9 cards with a big price tag. Anyone getting them can know that they will not fade out of usefulness for some time. As far as I know the 360 and PS3 do not have DirectX10. They have parts that can do some of it but graphicly they will fall behind the tech curve when this gets up and running.

I have played with magnets now and then just for fun but always thought metal was just about all a magnet could effect. I just found out that manetic fields can affect anything! Frogs, water, even fruit is not safe! Strawberries tomatoes It would seem to me that we will be hearing more about this in the future. Anyways just though I would share that with you all.

I made a guess as to the future of the game concoles success at the end of November. I was guessing that the Wii would have a great start but that it would fade fast as the Wii controler became "some old gimmick" Also contributing to this is the weak performance of the Wii. It is still a last gen console. The PS3 would have a very bad start. You will not hear much of anything about it for most of 2007. Only by the end of 2007 will it take root in the gaming world. The reason? It will be a match between the 360 and the PS3. PS3 being newer will help, able to generate better graphics than the 360 will too. It biggest slow will be time to learn how to program it and use that power. Once that is handled it will out perform the 360 and just look better - a major reason for success. After that it will have 2 years to stand next to the 360 and ot shine it. Still it will most likely never overtake the 360 for the rest of its life. 360 has it made. At the time the others were being released some games that would do well were being released for the 360 giving it the permanent hold it needed before the others had even managed to sell one console. I think that Microsolt will stick to their promise to get the 720 out by 2009. I think the 360 will hold its own until the 720 comes along. But not without some hardware help by Microsolt to keep it from being antiquated by the PS3. There you go, a little late but that is my prediction.

Oddly enough the first time I played the game I wanted a silver saber when I read it was avaliable in the "What color was your lightsaber" questions with Aton. But I didn't manage to get one until the end of the game. After that I have never had a problem getting a color. I have played quite a few times and always got the color I wanted soon after I got my saber. I think you just need to get use to the places the crystals are gotten from.

This sounds like a confusion. Echani Strike = added damage in unarmed combat Battle Precongnition = Wis gets added to your defence in melee - also you can only learn this from Mandmaiden Sounds like you have a name that is close to Echani Strike and a skill that sounds like Battle Precognition

What is with all the you 360 lovers? PC has a track record of being behind the consoles graphicly -when they first come out- but doesn't stay there. There is a reason that PC games don't die. Its that the PC is where the new stuff is at not to mention that you can do a #@$%load more with one. Come the release of Vista and DirectX 10 the PC will own the consoles in 1 year (start of 2008). Don't get me wrong, I play the consoles too. But the 360 is problematic. Even Mircosoft said it will need an early replacment (2009). I would like to see it (K3) on the PS3 too but plz not the Wii, I beg you (about the Wii part)! PS. Keep in mind that when I say the above I am thinking with the idea that K3 will be out by about late 2009 or later....

Same, I am a gray man myself. I do walk in the Dark shadows sometimes and I often step into the light. I go both routes. So in the end I say that I am a gray.

I think that a KOTOR movie will never be made. I for one would like to see more SW movies, But I am with the Moderator Lucian on this one. The 6 movies have their good sides but they also are shot full of disapointment. I think it would be much smater if they made movies from other time periods in the SW universe. KOTOR did it right, they were able to do what they wanted and not colide with the movies. With Hollywood getting into the making of games, I see some directors are directing games now, I think these will only tie together more as games get into realistic graphics. I am not sure where it is headed but I do see there is more coming between Hollywood and the gameing world. Who knows, maybe K3 will have some of that glass shattering we see in Star Wars 2007? There is a universe out there to tell stories from, they might as well use it. But KOTOR's movie will most likely never come to pass in movie form.
