  1. If you can find a way to get rid of him there are a number of people would be interested. In fast saying he is missing to a number of people around here will get a "So what is the problem" reaction. I played as a female on a few rounds through the game and can't stand the guy either.
  2. You have to do a fair amount of stuff b4 you get those cuts. You say you did everything but I have my doubts. Here is a list things I do to get attention (I always get it): ((((SPOILERS)))) It is not everything that you can do but all these will get attention. In the landing area: Kill the thugs that are out to harm the old man by the entrance Destroy the racing droid and turn over the race track to the Twe'link Save T1-N1 and get the Droid Reusable Shield Get the Force Point boost Let the guy run off and take the Hawk Kill the thugs that are out to collect from the guy (I send them over the railing if I can) and don't for get to talk to the guy you saved The Docks Area: Just go strait to the "Inn" and go to each room: Stealth listen in on the two guys in the closest room Have fun threating the Mandelorains Tell the ugly guys waiting for their Captain that you will give him the message when you see him Talk to the blith guy (he has a droid in the room with him) that you want to help him and do his quest Get the energy cell from the Ithorain Talk to the last guy in the place who is looking for his wife (second room from the end) Help the Dock master (outside the Inn) if you can Entertainment Area: Get into the Pazack Den Beat the Pazack players including the Champ (conditional) Get one of your girls or dance for the Hutt (and make a deal to help Telos with it's fuel problem) Rufuge Area: Kill all Exchange personnel including their boss Kill all Serico Personel and their boss Save the little girl and talk to her Mother Tell the wife (of the guy in the Inn) that her husband is alive Talk to the sick guy and do what you will with him Tall the leaders of the Refugies that the Exchange and Serico are dead After the above go back to the Docks Area and than leave it by stepping back into the Landing Area. You should get the call and the the Red Eclipse Cut when you return to the Landing area. I tried to give a Dark and Light compatible version. But after almost all are done you will get the cut with the Red Eclipse and if you have done enough, you will also get the call from Squidface (Vizquise or whatever his name was).
  3. Same. I used a bunch of saber Mods that changed the appearances and soon found I really didn't care what the hilt looked like. I just wanted a lightsaber's blade. Not some glowing stick to beat ppl with.
  4. I have a few questions for you: Are you using any Mods? Are you using the same save files form b4 the reinstalls? Did you use any Mods back before the Installs? What model of Video Card do you use? Now to answer your question. No the game is not that bad. One thing is holding you up. You need to handle that one thing and you will be able to go for it.
  5. I ran into a similar problem once. I was playing around with Mods and one day the game had a problem that stopped me from playing the story. I first went back to a save and got the save thing. I removed all mods and still got eh same thing. I got rid of the mods and started a new char and got the same thing. I reinstalled the game and played without mods and got the save problem. I finally reinstalled my OS and the game and that fixed it. I have never that happen after, nor did I ever find out what happened.
  6. The game is rigged so that you will get lightsaber parts until you finish the "make your own lightsaber quest". After that you start getting complete sabers and not just parts. Perhaps a saber component the guy had would make more sense than a hole saber. But the game gave you a complete saber instead. Also, now that I have played thru the game, I often finish quests b4 I pick them up. This ends up with me talking to a guy and not having the option to start the quest (as the conversation starts with the conclusion of the quest) and the reward when you are done talking to him. Your just missing half the conversation. Not to mention that just about no one ever says "I am going to give you a lightsaber". They say something like "I will give you whatever I have." So you may not be missing a plot twist at all. You may have done what seemed correct and was correct not knowing there was a quest for it and a reward.
  7. I have to agree with this, lets see a totally new threat for K3 rather than falling back on lame ideas from the EU please. Your ideas have merit and are logical, but I wouldn't want the Yuuzhan Vong in K3 in any shape for form. (Or Gunguns, Ewoks or superweapons for that matter) You have my agreement too. When SW was created it was new stuff, it was a galaxy of history and people to expand on. Yet people all too often stick with the same people, the same factors,.... But with a galactic population of trillions, not to mention what those trillions are doing over thousands of years, you would think there was more to the SW universe and it's people than what keeps being used in stories. KOTOR was new and set 4000 years b4 just so they would not get trapped by the same lack of creativity that was befalling SW. It is perfectly OK to use time (but please not time travel), new people, new peoples, new places, new races, new ships and so on. Also, don't forget that the story is always started with "Long long ago, in a galaxy far far away..." Keep it real folks.
  8. I know about AC. It was sometime ago that I went through all the documents and I saw that thing on DC as a dodge factor. You will notice the term AC is never used in KOTOR. But it was awhile ago and as I can't remember what all happened, I could be wrong.
  9. I think that this new show looks kind of cool. It they had gone for a look that very real like, it would require lots of time and possible upset with some fans that watch CG remakes of the stars of the show. This way it just looks artistic.
  10. We need some dirty rat at Lucas Arts to sneak us some intel.
  11. As an added comment, I never get the Exchange call until I exit from the docks area into the landing area (where the Ebon Hawk is). It may just be how I play the game but I can't remember ever getting the call at any other time.
  12. From what I understand DC has 2 meanings: 1. Difficulty Class: used when referring to skills, e.g., You wish to pick a lock with a DC of 14. You have 5 on your security skill, and roll a 7 (from a random 1-20 number system the game uses) giving you 5 + 7 = 12 vs DC 14, you fail to open the lock. You try it again and this time roll a 17, 17 + 5 = 22 vs DC 14, you open the lock. 2. Dodge Class: Same as the one above but applied to combat. e.g. you are fighting an enemy with a DC of 17. You roll a(again from the 20 sided die) 12 + 4(whatever bonus you have to hit, in this case +4 to hit) =16 vs DC 17, you miss and do no damage. Called Dodge Class because you need to get a number higher than his DC amount or he dodges your attack.
  13. Wow! Mandalore with force powers! Never seen that b4.
  14. You might be surprised to find out that these two things can exist together and make for something 10X greater.
  15. Ya, sounds like a bug. You do have to create quite some commotion b4 you will get the Exchange's attention. You will know you got it when you get a cut seen with that flying guy that manages the dock the Ebon Hawk is parted on.
  16. Death Star: "You have been cleared to land at dock 1268, it is on the left side, you will have to count. But I warn you, try to land at any other dock and you will be destroyed." Edit: "Darth Martis 'My god, G0-T0's really let himself go....' ". <-- LMAO
  17. I found an XP glitch that I have not heard anyone refer to yet. Without using cheats, you can get endless XP anywhere in the game. It comes from the fact that you get XP for recovering mines. You don't get XP for recovering your own mines, but you will if you put down mines right next to a door and then walk thru it and then come back. You can lay down 12 mines, then recover them for XP. You can then lay those mines right back down again and repeat the process. You can use any party member for this. The harder the mine, the more XP. You can do this at any door. The harder mines will give you about 400XP per mine. If Kreia is in your party, you will get added XP too.
  18. I had quite a problem with her too. It was not that I could not understand her, it was that she is on a private path of destruction. The cut where she tells you your actions (good or bad) are meaningless set the kind of person that she was to me. She is a defeated old lady, drowning in her personal failures. She is a walking time bomb that will destroy all within her reach...
  19. another thread on this forum that has steps that I am guessing work.
  20. If your "weapon" is more like a strong pinch, then yes, you are going to have to deal with them piling up around you. Lets not forget that most rifles will stop anyone from coming after you with one round. But your right, a bayonet or other simple close up melee type weapon is handy for those times when the gun dose not perform it's function for whatever reason.
  21. I say the Hawk. Looks cooler. D@#$ that would be fun, fling around in that. Who knows, I could even get great cat photos for Lady Crimson Anyway, that would rock.
  22. You seem to forget that the pistol is a weapon. A one shot, BANG, he is dead, weapon. Bayonets were used when loading was slow and the rounds may not kill. These games have the worst weapons because you don't die. The weapons in RPGs are really bad. It was embracing when I walked up to a guy in a Sith officer uniform (we are talking cotton or something like that) and gun or lightsaber, all attacks hurt the guy just a little. It should have been one hit kill.
