This game bugs me sometimes. My roommate fought this one Jedi Master and killed him pretty easilly when he was darkside. So, I get to the same part and the guy killls me at least 30 times before I win the fight. My character was not a pos either...so it just pissed me off. The same has happened on other situations....just vice versa. It can be annoying. Maybe its just one of those things?

Are you talking about the lightsaber forms? My guess would be to add soe more depth to the game...but mostly to combat. The original engine simply made it to where combat was mostly just put in your orders and watch. You could flurry your way through a lot of it. This way you might have to think more whenever you start an engagement. It was a great addition if you ask me.

Eh, they're not too bad around here. If you want to see some major crap hang around the Bethesda Elder Scrolls forums. Those guys are out there pretty severely. Besides, Morrowind was crap. Who in their right mind would post that much on the forum over Morrowind (fighting for Fallout 3 is always allowed though )

I'm playing through the game on Dark Side (and having a wonderful time I assure you). One of my favorite things has been how you are able to bring out the best sides of your party members....or manipulate and twist them to your own will to be used as weapons. Its great fun! I've been having some trouble with my buddy Bao-Dur though. Bao-Dur's alignment is very neutral....he sitting right on the cusp of being darkside! However, I have not actual talked to him and "seduced him to the darkside" yet. And its a crying shame too! If I do some really evil action then Bao-Dur will slip to the darkside (his character screeen will be all red), his face will drastically change with dark black lines and he just looks mean. However, I'll go to another area or save and then load the same game and he'll be back to normal. I want Bao-Dur to bask in the dark side with me! The only option I have to speak with him is asking "did something happen at Dxun" to which he just replys, "I don't want to talk about it." I get no influence failure, no nothing. Then all I can say is "do you want to talk about it?" and he just says no. And then I can ask about Dxun again or say goodbye.

There are a lot of holovideos that you can watch that he makes appearances in. Actually, that occurs on a regular basis it seems. Also, my roommate played through the game as lightside and at the end there was a cameo of Carth and Bastilla together discussing Revan. I think that only takes place if Revan was light side though. Take faith though! Hes around!

Yea, and you get him that crazy shield thing on Nar Shadda and hes wicked awesome. The guy just took down 3 HK units for crying out loud! The guys a haus of a lil' droid!

I didn't know if this would techinically be considered a spoiler or what...so I just threw it in here. I just wanted to say that I think the increased role of T3 is freaking awesome! There are several times where you get to romp around with him and do various things....like....for instance....knock off another droid thats in your way. Haha. It reminds me a lot of R2D2 from the original trilogy (and I guess also those abominations that Lucas has been pumping out recently as well). However, while its just an new run on an old Star Wars theme it still is very fun and fresh. You just have to love the spunk of T3. My little buddy.

I wish I could help ya...but I'm not quite far enough along.

Hey, he figured it out. There was some little cat guy near the three pazaak players. Anyways, that guy resolved it. Can you make Mira a Jedi? I wonder...
-
My roommate is actually the one thats playing and I'm trying to get this question answered for him. He couldn't figure this out so he just went and finished all of the other planets. He claims he has been hindering the exchange (light side) in everyway possible in Nar Shadaa. His current quest is labeled: "Plague Carrier" and he has to stop the spread of some disease in the crew quarters.

I can't seem to find Goto. I've talked to the Hutt to resolve the issue with his ships being hijacked. NOw I need to find this Goto guy and just can't find him! It shouldn't be this freaking difficult. What am I overlooking or just plain doing wrong?

God bless that Chris Avellone guy!

I could agree with that ampulator. Its kind of like Bioware is protecting Obsidian and allowing it to gather its strength before these guys can get out on their own again. Its just rough for new companies. Who knows, maybe one day in Bioware's old age they'll be taking hand-offs from Obsidian! Its a nice thought at least....that and Project Hawaii.

Akari (or any other knowing Dev), I wonder, who is the superior player when you guys get on the FP shooters together? Do you whoop them all or does Feargus come in and beat you all down? Do be honest now!

All they've been making so far have been safe games though (and if two big name sequels aren't safe these days then I just don't know what is). The reason why I asked is that I was just coasting around the ragingbull forum and looking at some of the Iplay stuff...I hadn't even paid any attention to Obsidian's stock setup. Figured I'd ask.

It might have been better to ask Tim Cain and Troika. They seemed like the most interested in getting the license (of the old BIS guys).

Wonderful choice...it makes me happy when someone new is introduced to the Fallout world. I'm moved to tears... Unfortunately it might be kind of hard to find a copy of the game these days. You could buy it on Amazon.com...but their prices are rising almost daily. Definately pick up a copy though...it is worth every bit of your money (and your time).
-
Unfortunately I think its a little too late to add something as major as that to the game. But, I'll admit it a pretty good idea. Who knows, they might have actually done that (b/c it makes good sense).

I don't know that she would leave the dark side by free will. Star Wars always seems to place a lot of emphasis on the fact that someone strong in the light side has to be there (and work very hard) to convert people back. It would just take away some of the doom of the darkside if you allow characters to just walk away from it just like that.
-
I can see it happening though...I mean, Lucas does have a certain fondness with whips (Indiana Jones anybody). We might be seeing Yoda wield the first ever lightwhip next movie...who knows. Lucas might be drunk enough to pull that off too.

Dear God, no game deserves that fate. I hold Diablo to be the perfect example of a stupid game that I never want to be in anyway associated with. I see it as a curse...a disease. -
Wow...I completely missed that one. I just was never willing to kill her b/c I (unlike a fair amount of you apparently) really did like Bastilla's character and wanted her by my side (and in my bed).

What do you want? Another console RPG, any style RPG, another Star Wars game? Any game? If you want another console RPG then - Well, I really don't know. I thought Morrowind was crap. You might try Arx Fatalis, I heard it was ok. Oh, and then there was Fable...I have heard various things leading me to believe that game is going to be a huge letdown (and more of an Adventure game than an RPG). Any Style RPG - Forget the consoles and go back to PC, cause thats where its at. Planescape: Torment is the truest form RPG I have ever played....definately worth your while. Fallout 2 is my very favourite game ever and you can replay it forever and ever and ever. Baldur's Gate 2 is great as well as Arcanum too. Take your pick. Another Star Wars Game - Maybe go back to the old school Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight? Also Jedi Academy is a fun game (its very short, but lots of fun with better than average replay value). I've never played it, but I've also heard that Jedi Outcast is ok. Any other game - Well, I decided I'd mention a few more Xbox titles since you obviously have an Xbox. I highly suggest Gladius...it is a turn based Strategy game with a few limited RPG elements. Its very fun and I've played through it a couple of times. Also, Ninja Gaiden is amazing. I have never seen a game with nearly as smooth and fluid of combat as this game. Its extremely challenging and well worth your time. Plus...you're a freakin' Ninja! Hope this helps.

I don't remember Bastilla every dying? I've played through the game I believe four different times (twice light side, twice dark side) and I never saw that. Did I miss that whole segment?!
