Well, it is a popular engine when you include Jade Empire in there. Why not make another sequel to Kotor? I would guess that any sequel would be released on the next gen consoles though.

Hey, I've been away for a long while and I have a quick question to get back up to date. Did they officially announce that KotOR 3 is in production (or is this thread just speculation?) and if so then who is developing it? Thanks.

I think it did eventually sell quite a few copies. But it definately was a niche game that didn't have a wide following...at first at least. I commonly hear it referred to as one of the greatest RPGs ever made. And then there is also a considerable crowd of console-RPGers that have never even heard of it. I think a remake would be great, but it'd have to do something very inventive to have reasonable sales compared against Xbox 360 and the like.

On a slightly related note, Manfredi's The Spartan is a highly entertaining historical novel. Very recommendable. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've never read that novel, but I have read Gates of Fire. That book is amazing. It tells the story of the Battle of Thermopylae as well. Except, this one doesn't make the Spartans look like little pussies like The 300 Spartans. It's an amazing novel. Actually, most West Point Cadets are required to read this novel to see how an officer should act.

FOT took a lot of heat when it was first released. Although I have always enjoyed it. I realize that JA2 is obviously superior but I don't discredit FOT because it couldn't match up to the pinnacle game of the genre.

All of this Fallout talk makes me want to go start a new game. The original, the sequel, or the tactical knock-off?

The whole discussion of why SPECIAL won't work in real time was brought up over and over when Bethsoft first got the license to Fallout. It's a dead issue and has simply been claimed as fact. I'm sure the encyclopedias are updating as we speak.

Morrowind is a fps...well, a fph (first person hacker).

The big deal with Bloodmoon is that you can be a werewolf! The only thing about bloodmoon though it that being able to become a werewolf ISN'T a big deal. Pity. Don't waste your money.

I just figured that instead of writing 65,000 pages of books that most gamers could care less about they could have written actual dialogue trees for their NPCs. Just my thoughts...

Were any of the Star Wars games that were released with the movies (ie, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, or Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith) any good? I never hear anything about them after they're released but the Revenge of the Sith game has advertisements and crap everywhere right now. My guess would be that they blow completely.

I always thought it was interesting how you could learn hardly anything from the NPCs in Morrowind...yet there was at least 8 encyclopedias worth of those in game books. I mean, wtf is with that?

If you've played a lot of these games you could always go for Temple of Elemental Evil. It definitely has some serious faults, but considering how cheap it is these days (like 10 american dollars) it might be worthwhile. Although, clearly I'm a Fallout fanboy and will praise those all day long if you haven't yet partaken.

Hey, I've been out of the loop for a while and lost track of things. Are there any recent (last 3-6 months) updates on the upcoming Fallout bastard child that Bethesda softworks was making? Clearly I have little faith in them, but who knows.

Handmaiden for sure. She is just amazing if equipped properly. NNTakot, if you play through the game as a man then you'll get Handmaiden. If you play through as a woman then instead you get Disciple.

He... doesn't. He is alive and well, all the way up to the end of the war with the Yuuzhan Vong and beyond. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, Boba Fett is most definitely alive. But he is hardly well. The time he spent in the Sarlac Pit gave him a nice form of cancer that severely messes him up. He is able to go on and make good money with his bounties...but most of the cash is spent sustaining his cancer treatments (well, I say its cancer...its something LIKE cancer...but special to the sarlac). Nasty things those sarlacs! Boba Fett also zealously guards the whole Mandalorian Armor bit. There was another bounty hunter that wore the same armor as he did...so Fett sought him out and killed him just for that. I guess he just took the armor, resized it, and threw it in the closet. The "Tales of the Bounty Hunters" goes into a lot of detail of after he left the Pit, whereas "Tales from Jabba's Palace" deals with his escape thereof. Crazy **** too...theres one point where he takes off his armor and hunts a bounty with a bow and arrow....b/c he needs the dude kept alive. I guess his blasters would just be too much. Crazy Boba Fett.

Yea, but you also have to realize that the new trilogy is an abomination of the original story. The story has been altered and made more kiddy and "fan friendly" so that he'd make more money. Lucas sold out a long time ago. And Lucas sold out HARD. The new movies are crap, if you really want decent storytelling in the Star Wars universe...go to the novels or even to the KOTOR games. MCA does a better job with this Star Wars stuff than Lucas ever will again. I hope I'm not banned now for dissing the big man at Lucasarts.

Yea, I have the same option with Handmaiden...but she won't say a thing. And I'm notorious for...manipulating her. But I want a darkside Bao-Dur!!!!
