Which one should a buy?
Umm where in my post did i say hyperthreading was good for anything except multitasking? And no prior to amd64 intel cpu's where faster on most tasks includeing gameing but yes to managed that they run at much higher clockfrequenzies.

Which one should a buy?
Nah intel had faster CPU's for at least half a year before AMD64 was released. From what I read, if you want a gameing computer today AMD64 is the right choice both in price and speed, but intel still ha sbetter performance for multitasking desktop usage due to hyperthreading which amd doesnt have yet (but I hear they will eventualy)...

Do you use miniatures in your p&p sessions?
No we almost never used miniatures (haven't managed to get a PnP session together in around 4 years), if the players have a hard time picturing the outline of an area we just draw it on a peice of paper and mark of where everyone is standing atm. Everything else is simply imagine and wing it... usualy works well enough and is alot faster then moving small lumps of lead around ;-)

If you liked his starwars novels you should check out some of his own titles. The two I have read where "Heroes Die" and "Blade of tyshalle" both very good in my opinion. But if you read his blog maybe you have already read them.... btw whats the adress to said blog?

Gee, 1gig of RAM does help
Partition your harddrives and just keep a small one for your OS that way you can format and still keep your stuff. Just reinstalling ontop of your old install doesn't remove nearly all the crap that collects in windows after a while...

What is your favorite number?
Well it's natural to only include positive integers e has no place in any number poll due to it's unatural properties!! The numer I miss the most has to be the allpowerfull 2 (nothing beats the first prime that just happens to be the only even prime). Oh and 42 is overrated...

This is interesting (honest)
yeah but I don't think any significant precentage of game buying people would play the same game for 5 years running. I think the increasing development costs without increasing game costs mainly comes down to games on average selling more units hence the induvidual gameprice can stay "low". This is good in some ways but bad in others, good in that a lower price means its more afordable to buy multiple games and hence sample different offerings. Bad in that since each title has to sell more units, they tend to be more of a "safe bet" which inhibits inovation. So win some lose some I guess...
