I won't dispute that. But discerning loud people from the total amount of people is tricky business. Very true, fair point.

There are obviously plenty of people who do though as evident by the fact it keeps getting asked for. Not to say it's important if Valve have abandoned it, or that they should have to carry on making Half-Life games if they don't want to anymore, but it's still irksome that the story is left hanging and my biggest irk is that they didn't have to end on a cliffhanger in the first place. Just don't do it.

I'm not sure Valve releasing Half-Life 3 is even a good idea for them, given that at this point I think it's all but assured that it will not live up to expectations that many seem to have manufactured. I see your point from a business perspective but as far as I'm concerned if you wrap up something on a cliffhanger (Unless you intended to end the series/story with such an ending) you really ought to finish it in some fashion for the sake of the people who care about your work, otherwise why didn't you just wrap the damn thing up in the first place and give people the satisfaction of a resolution? I mean that within reason but cliffhanger endings suck, we've all been there and know how annoying it is.

I bet people would go see that movie.

I'd have been happy if they'd released Ultimate Alliance 2 on the PC at all .

I thought the steam announcement said both but I can't load the store page to check it either, guess it hasn't turned yet. That said, they incorporated all of the L4D campaigns into L4D2 (minus most of the banter between the characters) so you only really need L4D2 anyway.

Valve made Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 free yesterday, for a limited time. If you hurry you may still be able to get them, they're great co-op games.

He probably meant that LC posted about Boone a lot, and he fears another wave of hot male NPC appreciation.

Free FTL expansion out soon, new race, ship configs and weapons being added

More importantly, who, on this forum of all places, doesn't already own KotOR2? I think he meant the steam forum but I did read it as the Obs board first off as well.

That's kind of messed up - having to buy DLC to really enjoy the franchise. Smh. You can enjoy vanilla Dishonoured just fine, I've not played the DLC which may well be better, but the core game's missions are all fun to play.

I was about to say that it's probably not as bad as it sounds but remembering some of the things they've done in the show it might actually be worse.

I got some pork spare ribs and duck pancakes with hoisin sauce over the weekend, just took them out of the fridge and spotted "Cook from frozen, do not refreeze after defrosting" on the package. I put them in the oven anyway. If I post a lot tomorrow, or never again, you all know this was a bad decision.

Obsidian's (rumoured) next kickstarter, what would you want to see?

Isn't that when you play roleplaying games with Vin Diesel? -
Anyone played The Bureau: XCOM Declassified? How long should I expect it to last and is it worth the sale price?

I'm quite hyped after seeing the Spider-Man trailer, more action, woo! And the Gwen Stacy and Peter's parents story arcs could be really entertaining and something to actually differentiate it with the Toby Macguire movies. Not so thrilled with Harry Osborn though, they do realise the Green Goblin isn't supposed to be an actual goblin right?

Heh, did you know Michael Biehn refuses to watch Alien 3, because he felt that Hicks deserved a much better death sequence? Something along the lines that for all the effort he put into shaping the character in Aliens, there shouldn't have been some glossed over "panning shot of Hicks with chest exploded" as the end of that character. Well he was sodding well right. Biehn/Hicks would have been a very interesting person to throw into the mix of the prison colony. Hicks would have probably ruined a lot of the things Alien 3 had going for it imo, he'd carry too much authority and Ripley and Hicks together would be too capable in that situation, the prisoners would be more dangerous than the alien itself and they were trying to go back to the series' roots. I liked Alien 3, I think that the series as a whole would have been better if they'd gone with a different script but Alien 3 was a good movie. It's Resurrection that grinds my gears.

Something along the lines that for all the effort he put into shaping the character in Aliens, there shouldn't have been some glossed over "panning shot of Hicks with chest exploded" as the end of that character. Didn't know it, but not surprised by it. Cameron also thought 3 was disrespectful to the characters last I heard. The one thing I really don't like about this script is it's all Hicks. Ripley's in a coma then shoved into a lifepod. That's it. Sigourney Weaver didn't want to do another alien movie at various points in the series, I think that script was from when the studio were looking for ideas to go on without her. Everyone thinks they should have kept Bishop and Hicks alive, I'm one of those people but they aren't actually very well developed characters, they just made an impact (as did Burk and pretty much every single colonial marine apart form Wierzbowski and Crowe) which is still impressive when you consider how little screen time they got in Aliens but they've been built up a lot more than they deserve over the years. My younger self is screaming at me for saying that but I stand by it.
