Point very good and taken, but we have to know at least some things about the game, if nothing else so to help keeping our interest in it . It works the same for Obsidan and other comapnies; if some eyecandy and such aren't released from time to time, how are we supposed to create new speculations about all things in the game, among other things? Sure, I wouldn't mind that much if they kept the bad guys secret until the game itself is out, but at the same time, I'd want to know about other characters, characters we might or might not welcome as comrades, locations, etc... But with a small, not huge, information released with them. Just enough for us to speculate about or so. :D

Underestimating a Sith
Dark Wanderer replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Agrees with that the others have said. In Raymond E Fesits book, hilda (an old woman who is more than a first look would reveal) says that "Evil never anticipates the possibility of failure. That is it's weakness". The same should apply to the Sith in a sense; they can be blinded by their own power and greatness, so they may be careless in certain situations - that is to say, a few Sith that has just meet the main character with no idea of who he is at first, without takling a closer look at how strong he really is and attacks him are victims of this, so to speak, but they would on the other hand never be stupid enough to attack someone they clearly know is stronger/superior to them. If so, all the Sith of the Academy would have attacked Master Uthar everyday and thus there'd be no or VERY few pupils at the Sith Academy -
Thank you . It's a Behelit, or the King's egg. When it's owner is in a certains tate (often a state of despair, hopelessness or sorrow), the Behelit is activiated that way and summons God Hand, that then is able to grant the owner his deepest wish in exchange for a terrible price...

Not necressiary, but would it hurt if they jsut gave away some "general information" about the Masked Sith, nothing too deep? Darth Sion's information looks fairly general to me; we're told that he's basically a wreck but not why, and we're not told if he's a leder of a fraction among the Sith Lords or not, and so on... I think you gotta agree ont hat the information we have on the characters in KOTOR 2 are far less than the information we got from bioware ont he KOTOR 1 characters before. I wasn't that deep in KOTOR 2 back then, but I did look at the page of the game now and then and each character had a long and careful explainationa bout him/her. The KOTOR 2 characters hasn't... I mean, just look at the description of Malak; much of that could IMHO have been cut short and left for us to find out about in the game... For me, it's fine if they keep the information to themselves like you suggest, but if so they should keep it for one or two months after the game has been released so that everyone have had a chance to find out for themselves...

Hey, hey, don't be too harsh . Isn't it by the way only natural that members of a forum have a good memory? Or so have often been the case of those I've seriously attended for a longer time

Keeop the masked sith's a secret until the very end? Hmm, I dunno might be unusal... not that I don't like the idea of playing the game and thus find out more about the Masked sith on my own, but it somehow doesn't seem right that you shouldn't get some main info on the bad guy, at least.. :/.

Underestimating a Sith
Dark Wanderer replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
True, but every damn Sith we meet weren't new Sith. And you'd think that even a few new Sith would have a common sense, right? -
Underestimating a Sith
Dark Wanderer replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yeah, this is exactly what we don't want to see in KOTOR 2: More thugs... If all Sith are like Darth_Gandalf just said, I'm not surpised that the Sith empire collapsed <_<... -
Time for Another Profile!
Dark Wanderer replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I would like to see either: Atris, the silver-armor-guy or the Jedi in white clock that is not Atris according to Akari. -
It's good until you get your neck chopped off by an angry mob, yes . Hmm, I'm kinda struck in the same situation as you, through. But I'll take the Sith Lord too :D.

Hype factor...
Dark Wanderer replied to Jedi Master D Murda's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, I do agree with what some people here have already been saying.. There's no need to be "ultra-powerful", nor for the game to end with us being like that, at least if it's forced on us. But I think that the choice should be there for those who wants it to be like that. But for me, I'd rather see the game end in a number of other ways, for once.... -
Well, I know that the walkthrough trailer is just meant as a preview and has little or nothing to do with the real story. Still, why would it be impossible to join the Sith? Remember that they're now three factions; they're not united like they were in the first game. So why would it be impossible to join one of these factions? And if you do, you'd get to fight the other two factions plus others (I reckon that in this case there will be at least 4 major factions in the game: the three Sith Lords and their followers and the republic.. dunno if the Jedi counts since they are probably almost destroyed ). And you'd perhaps also get sent by the fraction you choose to establish Sith control over the worlds you haven't yet visited or something liket hat.. <_<. Sounds unlikely, but still...

the Queen of Onderon
Dark Wanderer replied to Darth_Gandalf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Threesome! -
Heh, it seems to work on most people :D. Or as Canderous says on Tatooine if you Force Persaude the dock master there: "Heh, I'm amazed of how often that trick works. The galaxy must be filled with weak-minded fools" or something like that
-
So being executed by the Selkath or T3-M4 failing to break free on the Leviathan doesn't count as possible endings? <_<
-
Err, your charater COULD actually die in KOTOR 1...
-
I, for one, I first and foremostly hope that there will be plenty of endings in KOTOR 2 instead of just a few ones like in KOTOR 1 <_<. I also hope the darksdiers willb e better this time... no or few thugs, thank you. More? Well, more dialouge options would be nice.. More paths in the game... etc...
-
Would be nice indeed if it was this way, since it was quite illogical that youd be taken form a Jedi everywhere you went even if your appearence screamed that you were a DS . Hmm.. but if we can join the Sith, I hope there will be a "lie" dialouge opinion, so that you can fool your Jedi party members (and other party members) that "you're only doing this to infiltrate the sith" . Then once they discover that you were lying; it's too late since you've made them fall to the dark side already
-
It should still be int he game, but I don't think it should be random; it doens't make sense for you to get attacked at Maanan or Dantooine. Others, ye,s but at worlds that are peaceful? No, doesn't make much sense...

The Master Apprentice Relationship
Dark Wanderer replied to starwarskid15_19's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Maybe.. As it is all too often, no way of really knowing :/ -
Don't worry, he'll be caught or "catch on" sooner or later
-
I can't really see how he'd do it. sure, he could say that since it isn't offically announced that Mira is a turnable character or something and therefore she changes her personality as she turns either light or dark, thus she is no longer the character she's described as from the very beginning? Sure, it's a longshot, but still...
-
I was going to comment on that . Actually it IS an interesting idea, but didn't Akari say that the character on the screenshot I posted is a character yet to be announced? Mira is already announced...

Well, the one in the picture I posted seem to be wearing a hood, so that's not hair, but a hood, meaning that there might be two white-claid women in the game, but not two with white hair
