Heh. Well, good luck in any case. Report back when you have played it yourself and has an impression on if our hacking on it being unjustified or not .

Barlast on Bloodlines (SPOILERS GALORE)
Dark Wanderer replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
Odd indeed. But then again I did not beat the guards on the outside, just those inside. The guests escaped in terror as far as I remember, Bruno came out and stared to raise the corpses of those I already killed... and that was all, more or less. Well, I've heard similar things. Heard that Necromancy mostly isn't about doign stuff instantly, but rather over a long time. Heard that it can take days to turn a corpse into a zombie, not a few seconds, for example... -
Barlast on Bloodlines (SPOILERS GALORE)
Dark Wanderer replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
Well, they were corpses at that moment as far as I remember - at least, I only remember that Giovanni only being able to turn corpses of those guards I killed into zombies... I see, thanks -
Impluse? Nothing better to do, perhaps? Wanting to confirm if what people say are true or not...?

Barlast on Bloodlines (SPOILERS GALORE)
Dark Wanderer replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
Well, many PnP stuff are hard to get correct in games. Bloodlines is hardly the only exisiting example. Well, never played the PnP game, but I throught Thaumaturgy was rather cool in the PC-game. Bloodshield and Blood boil especially.. :3. Never played the PnP game so I don't really know the difference there too, through I heard that in the PnP game Auspex is useful to detect things about a person. But anyway, I agree that there is not much use for Auspex in the PC game - never put much XP into it... Well, if you make a mess at the Giovanni mansion, you'll see the usage of some necromancy... I don't know much about the last discipline through so no comment on that. -
Hmm. Funny thing, I've never platey a Troika game expect for Bloodlines, thorugh I hear that their previous games sucjed both because of lack in good characters, story, ability to run correctly, etc... Now with their newest game, most seem to agree that they suceeded in creating good characters and story but failed in making it run correctly, so voices declare louder than ever that "Told ya, you can't trust Troika with ANYTHING"..

Barlast on Bloodlines (SPOILERS GALORE)
Dark Wanderer replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
Maybe so. I'm not exactly sure how we'd get to use it, through.. Make our own monsters? Give ourselves new body parts (funny thing is that 've heard that Tzimisce fleshcraft themselves so often that after a few decades, they forget what they originally looked like )? I dunno if we'd get to use Fleshcraft, but it's not too unlikely that we'll get to play as the Tzimisce clan someday. But how far off int he future that is, who can say...? -
Why can't life be more like RPG's?
Dark Wanderer replied to Conspiracy Theorist's topic in Way Off-Topic
Damn ninjas indeed! :D -
Nice-looking! :D. Through I wonder if Jeanette (in the game, that's it) really used a bra like she apparently does?

Hmm, since I'm not too familiar/sure what you speak about, I wonder if you're refering to the Sith Empire that Ragnos ruled? (Haven't read those comics so...)

The Christmas goat has burned again!
Dark Wanderer replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Way Off-Topic
Good grief. Can't imagine why they're so gung-ho about trying to burn it down before christmas . Perhaps they should hire armed guards to guard it next time? " (Doubt that the local politicans would be willing to pay for that, through ) -
Don't forget that the majority of those post have probably been spent on rabidly opposing or find flaws with games now in existence . As for piraticy, I don't thinkt hat's the way it should be. If you don't like a game, then pirating it is not an excuse. Nor is, IMHO, the excuse of "I just want to try it", when i all too often have seen people using that excuse and then play the game many times over to their heart's content and then say a false "Nah, didn't like it", through their playing shows differently, thus often making the "I just wnated to try it"- statement a goddamn lie . It's better than that they want for the game to become so old that it's cheap as hell - or buy an used version instead. But... back to topic. I'm gonna buy KOTOR 2 when it gets out, no doubt about it!

Paah! IMHO, Lionheart had great potiental and some things about it could still be said to be uniquite (for example, Lionheart is one of the few games that allows you to talk yourself out of a fight with the "end boss"), but they still much ruined it by makign the later half of the game too focused on combat

Barlast on Bloodlines (SPOILERS GALORE)
Dark Wanderer replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
I see. Well, should there ever be a sequel or something like that in which we're allowed to play as Sabbat, I hope we'll be choosen from those "higher echelons" then. Through I judge it as somewhat unlikely. More likely the character will be a "shovelhead" who survives far longer than any of his comrades, thus catching the eyes of those "higher echelons"... Well, haven't gotten all of them yet, but I liked the Camarilla ending quite enough . Perhaps so, thorugh who knows? Shame that the "old" WoD has ended anyway.. -
To all naysayers yet to play the game
Dark Wanderer replied to mastaGAW's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If you want a good story, read a novel. - dr cloak <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, I do, I do. But playing a game can be like reading 20 novels at once. Besides, in a game you ARE the main character and feels more like him/her, whereas in a novel you might just see things out of that characters eyes and you have absolutely no control of what he/she does, but you do in a game (through it depends onw hat kind of game, of course). -
Barlast on Bloodlines (SPOILERS GALORE)
Dark Wanderer replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
Right, the key words here being 'this game'. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Right, right. Redemption gives, IMHO, much the same impression through. Dunno what it is like being a Sabbat in a PnP game through... Is the Sabbat perhaps unfairly portrayed int he games? -
To all naysayers yet to play the game
Dark Wanderer replied to mastaGAW's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Oh, right. Can't deny that you have a point there. Well, I don't mind difficulty as long as it doesn't become TOO difficult... On a side note, if it had been Malak who had been escaping, would that have been a better solution? " -
To all naysayers yet to play the game
Dark Wanderer replied to mastaGAW's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
.... I wonder why the whole question has to be about "difficulty"? I usually don't care how difficult or easy a game is as long as the story (<-- most important part of any game for me) is good, wonders where that places me... <_< -
Barlast on Bloodlines (SPOILERS GALORE)
Dark Wanderer replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
Well, one can mask his/her lust of power by being loyal too. After all, being loyal to the Camarilla allows you to survive, after all :D. This game gives me the impression that if you're Sabbat, you're more or less asking for Final Death in ANY case -
Gotta agree with Hades_One on this one. At least for the later half of the game <_<

To all naysayers yet to play the game
Dark Wanderer replied to mastaGAW's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hmm. Just adding a comment here: I've lately been "spoilerered" enough to know at least some of the bad points of the game that people complain about. While some of the stuff I've been hearing, particulary the stuff regarding the story have made me feel soemwhat dishartened aboutt he whole thing, I've also heard quite a big amount of praise about other parts of the game from close acquiences of mine, so overall, my opinion hasn't changed much: I'll still get KOTOR 2 as soon as it gets out for PC. After playing through it twice, I shall post my final judgement of it here. And that, for the time being, is all I'll say regarding this matter. Edit: Oh, and for the sake of saying it.. Merry Christmas, everyone! :D -
Barlast on Bloodlines (SPOILERS GALORE)
Dark Wanderer replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
Ahh, I see. So a vampire has to be in torpor in order to become diablerised properly? Well, at least that explains one thing about VtM: Redemption... I see... So you do indeed become permantently marked in a way if you commit diablere... Wonder how LaCroix had planned to hide it, if his plan was indeed to diablerise the elder he assumed was hidden in the sarcophagus... Is this true even for the Assamites and the Salubri? Ah, I see, so if Heather is told to go away, then she will/can eventually become free of the power of the blood... -
Barlast on Bloodlines (SPOILERS GALORE)
Dark Wanderer replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
I see. Thanks for your answers . One additional question about diablere through... I see. so it doesn't raise a character's generation permantently and/or gain that vampire's powers? I was under the assupmtion that this was why vampires commited diablere and this being the reason to why for example Tremere did this to Saulot? -
XD. Something like that, I suppose. Haven't seen many scenarios like that through...
