Well, same here. English is no problem. I don't mind if they do subtitles for Frech, German and Spanish, through. Those countries are quite big and contains a large part of the people of europe, plus that many people outside those countries learn those languages too...

You eman the part about 5 years to make a game? Haven't that happened before? Morrowind took 5 years to develop as far as I remember. I don't think they had such a budget through...

PRESUMEDLY the last Jedi there is, yeah. The character may appear to be the last Jedi around, but there's always others around who're hiding in one way or another...

... That's supposed to be typical behaviour for Texicans or something?

Maybe, but then, again he is perhaps not in a position where he can say his true opinions under his real name, thus he says his true opinons under a false name. Not saying that Hades_One is Chis Avellone, but if he was, then the above reason could very well be why he doesn't use his real name -
Translating all speech files into local languages? That'd be crazy. At most they only do so for three langages: German, French and occassionally spanish, I think (through I could be wrong). I'm fine if it all comes out in english, as I don't need any other langages, and most don't either. Nowadays few make too many complainments about the games being in english. But then again, this is sweden and most people here learn english to some degree, so...

Coke for me. Pepsi tastes too... weak IMHO, even if it can compensate well enough for times when you lack coke...

No. Your arguments are valid, but I think most people'd prefer if you not ramble too much about how much you hate the game - it's kinda off-topic in this topic and there's many other threads where the many afults of KOTOR 2 can be discussed. And while you may be right about the many errors of KOTOR 2 (which I don't know too much about as I'm still waiting for the PC version), other people may still find the game to be a very good oen - why, I have this friend who has it on Xbox already and he says that "With the exceptation of the many bugs, I've got nothing but praise for this game!" Well, hoping costs you nothing :D. But indeed, if KOTOR 2's endign is idneed as unsatisfyign as they say, then a possible reason for this could possibly be a seqiel. Otherwise, leaving the story as a cliffhanger is never a good idea <_<. Yeah, so much in t heKOTOR series is left unfinished, it seems. A third game could indeed finish the circle, so to speak. But considering how disappointed many seem to be about KOTOR 2, they would not be allowed to make a mistake about this one. Hmm, perhaps whoever makes KOTOR 3 should invite Hades_One to investigate what they've made and then give them his "Stamp of Approval" ; without it they would not be allowed to release an eventual KOTOR 3 :D

Or, if it's too late to return it, he could sell it off as an used game. He'd probably not get as much for that, but it's a better alternative than having a game in your collection that you truly dislike, I suppose... Anyway, Epiphany, now you've told us ten times over that: 1. TSL is a bad game. 2. That neither LA, Obisidan or George himself is to be trusted... *sarcastic* Yeah, thanks for the warnings, I think we've got the idea, no need to shout further about it.

I won't say that you don't have a point there. but.. Well, for me, at least, difficulty doesn't matter as much as a good story. A game that is easy in terms of gameplay (like easily defeatable foes) is, I have learned, far from as bad as a game that has foes that is hard to beat but a crappy story. And couldn't it all be solved by making the foes strong too? (I know, it's kind of an amateurish statement, but keep in mind that I'm not as familiar with the rules as you are, so I don't know what's possible and not possible, etc...) Well, I admit thatit could be an acceptable solution, but... Well, it's simply a too easy solution for my taste, so I'd prefer if they did not use it... Yeah. It'd perhaps be for the best if the third game picked up where either the first or second game left - both left loose threads that we've not yet seen tied up. A game where we'd paly as Revan, the Exile or both could tie these loose ends nicely . True. That's it, IF they intend to make it a trilogy. After all, from a certain point of view (business point of view), making the KOTOR series a "loosely linked series of events in the same timeline" as you call it would be benefical. After all, a trilogy has to end after three aprts, correct? but if it's a loose series, then there's no end to how many sequels they could create

Damn, I decide to leave the computer a few hours and look what has happened once I get back . Well, as for the comments made here: Epiphany: I respect your option if you don't want a KOTOR 3 being made, as stated in my first post. However, that's no excuse for turning this topic's attention towards KOTOR 2 and it's flaws as it wasn't the purpose of this topic (althrough blame of doing that isn't entirely yours) <_<. Icon: Perhaps you're right there. Still, a game twice as big as the previous games would be nice to see even if it is, as you say, a somewhat unrealistic wish considering the amount of work it'd take to get that done. Anyway, it's probably true that people who has played both games (or just one of them but have heard lots of stuff about the other one ) are more than tired of following the KOTOR series from a perspective of an entirely new character. Now people instead want to pick off where they left off, be it with Revan, The Exile or both, or that's the feeling I get... Meshugger: I can agree about the issuse of NCP's hard to determite who should survive or not. But as for the male/female and darkside/lightside matter, that could be solved through dialouge in the beginning of the game. Or whatever way you get information in the beginning. The _effects_ of either Revan or the Exile being male/female, darkside/lightside is another matter through. Well, as you say, it's a fine mess to writte . But if it could succeed at least, somewhat well, then... Ostkant: I see. Well, as you say, I myself would indeed, regardless of the style choosen for an eventual KOTOR 3, like there to be a meeting between Revan and the Exile at some point in the game, regardless of how it turns out .

Future games you are seriously looking forward to.
Dark Wanderer replied to Lilac Benjamine's topic in Computer and Console
Hmm, well, there's a few games I'm looking forward to and will most likely pick up during the next year. some of them are out already, some are not. But here's the three first and foremost games on my list for now: KOTOR 2 Sid Meier's Pirates! Republic commando And there's a few others I'm keeping an eye on but news on those are yet too few or shallow for me to decide if I'll get them or not... Like Arx Fatalis 2 -
I don't mind bloody games or gmaes with adult stuff such as sex, but there should in certain cases be such things as age limits.

A-hem. People here have been debatting about KOTOR; whenever it'll be made or not, whenever they should continue it or not, etc.... and from these discussions, a small thing of interest has stirred my interest. So, don't misunderstand; this is not a "We should get KOTOR 3!" thread, rather it's a small curiousity I want to check, so to speak. Looking at what people have commented that they would want KOTOR 3 to be like, assuming that they (Bioware, Obisidan or someone else who takes up the challenge) do make it, I have made a small collection of three preferences that I see among th epeople here, added with a few ideas of my own... Either you play KOTOR 3 like this: 1. You play as a third character whose story gets entwined with that of Revan and the Exile's at some point and you'll encounter them both at some point in the game. Eventually they'll travel together with you in your party and act as party members, through I'm not sure how this would work. After all, a problem is that neither Revan nor the Exile had any voices when we played as them, so either they'll have to give both of them voices or they could choose to not do so, giving us simply subtitles (yeah, that might feel kind of... lame, but at least we'd understand why they did this). 2. You play once again as BOTH Revan and the Exile from two story perspectives, either from the very beginning (giving you the alternative to "play as either 1. Revan 2. Exile when you start a "new game") or the prespective between the both stories switches during various points in the game. Eventually both Revan and the Exile meet each other at the end or very close to the ending and either join forces or fight each others (through I'm not truly sure of how that should be done if they pick the later of my suggestions (switched perspetives thorugh various point of the entire game; how would you choose who to "be" in the end?) 3. You play as a third character and eventually encounters Revan and/or the Exile and either fight or join forces with them depending on your choice in the beginning of what alignament they were, your own alignament and so on). They wouldn't join your party thorugh, but you'd still have the chance of encountering them later in the game, like: say that you encounter Revan and he is Light side as are you too and you choose to help him attack a sith temple or something like that; then when you enter the temple you'd see him locked in a fight with some pesky siths and then he goes on figtning them and so on.. I think you get the idea. So, what do you think? Which of these 3 would be the way you'd like KOTOR 3 to be? Or do you have other suggestions? (mind you, I do realize that some will probably shout at this point "Don't make KOTOR 3 AT ALL!" and you're free to do so, but not too loudly, please ^_^. I ain't blind ).

Any new news bout PC version extras etc?
Dark Wanderer replied to Darth Makaan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Heh. Can't say that I don't approve of the idea, but I find it unlikely that they'd fill plot holes and the like for us. Never happened before AFAIK, anyway . But, hey, let's keep it positive! Someday there has to be a first time, and this might be it! :D. -

Thus you mena that the devs should re-writte or fill in the plot holes just for their dear PC version buyers? -
Gah, I HATE copy protections, even if I can understand the reason that companies install them. That doesn't change the fact that one of my games protected by SafeDisc 2 is _impossible_ to play, making me royally pissed since I spent over 60 dollars on the damn thing! Online activation? Well, I like this alternative better than copy protection; then at least you know for sure what you need to do. But it has to be pointed out that not everyone has Internet...

Dark Wanderer replied to Darth Makaan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, as long as they try to fix the many bugs mentioned, I won't complain about the lack of any extra stuff. If they don't try and work at fixing the bugs, thorugh, my wrath shall be swift.. -
Influence System Observations
Dark Wanderer replied to EnderAndrew's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Indeed. If you want to manipulate people, the first and foremost rule is to never reveal your true intentions to them. Choosing darkside options would mean that you show your true self to those you want to manipulate, not the side of yourself that you want them to see, menaing that they'll guess or perhaps even know your true intentions - and thus will not trust you, which means that you voice/opinion don't mean a bird's poo to them...
