  1. Yeah, LaCroix is also kinda the thing you want if you want a "polite" villain. Nines is cool in his own way, but I cannot completely agree with his point of view - I more agree with Tung's statement "Law and Order is a kindre's friends". Ming Xiao is also a "good" villain; acting all polite, but behind the shadows she has some dirty stuff going on indeed; she was ultimately behind the kidnapping of the Nosferatu we're sent to Chinatown to seek for, thus she put you in serious danger all over, but tried to hide it - and she STILL acting all polite, trying to get you on her side until the very end... You too? :D
  2. Indeed :D. Well, we shall see what ideas they'll come up with with KOTOR 3 - if there willb e a KOROR 3, of course. Hmm. I come tot hink of Bloodlines; one of the characters there I found to my liking was Maxmillian Strauss, the Tremere Primogen/Regent. In the vampire world, few would trust a Tremere considering their dark history, but Maxmillian has the kind of character and behaviour that makes him trustable despite his clan's dark history and his own, carefully hidden motives. Such a character in a KOTOR 3 could be great indeed :D.
  3. Indeed :D. Anyway, nothing wrong about polite villains that make you trust them. It at laast give us a good variation from the oh-so-many Sith whose first action will be to try and chop you in two with his/her lightsaber
  4. Haven't we done this before? Uthar in KOTOR 1...
  5. Well, unsatisfactory endings is the "thing" this year it seems. People mentions unsatisfactory endings in Bloodlines, Half-Life, KOTOR 2 among other things... Where will it end? . and why the sudden appearence of so many unsatisfactory endigns in so many games?
  6. . Yeah, yeah... I MAY take a closer look at the expansions someday, when I have a job and thus can risk spending money on things that might not be rated as top-stuff. Until then, thorugh, it's "Game Over" for me, through ;p
  7. Never brought that one - played thorugh NWN once and then felt like most of my interest in it had been spent, so I turned my attention to what games that pulled my interest more - and those things did not include any of the so-called expansions to NWN...
  8. I can only completely agree for Sarevok - if you infludenced him enough, his alignament changed, if I remember correctly. If you were a Male PC and took the Viconia romance route, then you could get her to get (mostly) rid of her evil nature, but that's about it and her non-love ending in ToB hints that she was on that path already - After all, she abandoned the Spider Queen, so she's not a throughly evil chick any longer... but as for the others? Never seen that you could infludence them to become evil or good... Aribeth - yes, you could convince her to abandon her evil path, but that was quite late in the game after she had given herself to evil and did not change much, if anything at all - we don't get to know her fate after the end of the game, after all, so...
  9. True. Same thing goes for other great RPG's. like BG. It's possible to infludence the characters in some small ways in that game thorugh, but throughly turn them?
  10. Quite a number, hmm? Like in BG? If so, it's good as we'll have quite a wide selection on what kind of party we want to have ^_^. And if the infludence system is used there, well, as you point out, then things could get really good :D
  11. Only get better? I hope so... But for what reason would they use it in NWN 2? If they do, through, then my interest in NWN would increase quite a bit...
  12. Hmm, as far as I remember, they were forbidden to include any flasbacks in KOTOR 2 according to the guidelines they got from LucasArts...
  13. Agreed. Thne no further comment on this part before one of us have read soem gehenna material! Hmm, dunno if I'd want to see it stretch over such a long time - or if it'd even be possible to do. One era/age is enough for me. It'd be cool, of course, if it was conneted to more than one era in the way you describe - kind of like in Redemption - but it'd be hard to pull off in a good way, I think... True enough, I suppose, the Modern Nights is the very core of VtM as far as I've seen... Hmm, you've defintively got a point there. Well, if anyone'd be willing to try that, WW agree and they pull it off well enough, then it could be a good idea . Justin Achilli? Who's that?
  14. Well, I admit that I'd be more likely to scold someone who pirate a minor game company than someone who's pirating Microsoft, if you get my meaning
  15. I know, I know . But those we fight in JA and Jedi Knight are even less Sith than those in the movies and KOTOR .
  16. I dunno if those count. Dark Jedi, yeah. Sith-wannabes, yeah. But True Sith? Nope, that, I think, is true for the KOTOR games and Star Wars movies only (through I'm not the expert here).
  17. Perhaps not surpising as it's a rather old game. Here: http://www.lucasarts.com/products/darkforces/splash.htm
  18. Been there, done that. "Dark Forces". The first of them, that's it. No jedi powers there. But that was a shooter, not an RPG...
  19. Use a Force Spirit? Yeah, they did - JA.
  20. Gotta agree there - As I said earlier, it's a good idea, but not a Force Spirit - otherwise it becomes too much like the comics as I've heard that they go - Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma, both two of the strongest Force Users there is meet, battle, the spirit of old Ragnos awakens and names them Dark Lord of the Sith and apparentice to the Dark Lord of the Sith...
  21. Err, you mean the fact that you can ? Otherwise, there'll be quite a bit of combat in the game sooner or later - especially the later part of it...
  22. I see. but wouldn't it be possible for them to make a sequel in Gehenna setting? haven't read that one myself, but as I've head it, it has quite a few scenarios, so would it be impossible for Troika to use one of those? Perhaps not a bad idea. I'd like to see a VtM game set in the Medieval times or even the Roman era anyway . I wonder if that's possible - I got the impression that the new WoD is still largely unfinished and still being buildt up in many aspects, thus I think it'd be kind of hard to make a game based on that for now.
  23. Agreed. Who or what says that there won't be a sequel? Various interviews mentioned that a sequel isn't impossible through nothing is decided yet - and it all probably depends on how well Bloodlines sold, the feedback and then what White Wolf has to say in the matter. Maybe so. I wouldn't know, never played the PnP game . But do of course realize that even with today's computer technology, some things are far from easy to put to reality in a game...
  24. Interesting idea, this idea about being able to play both Revan and the Exile in a possible KOTOR 3 game. Opens for various possibilities and you'd also get to know both of their fates that way. It's, at least IMHO, a much better idea than starting KOTOR 3 with a THIRD new character...
