You mean like honour and chivalry, patriotism, anarchism, egalitarianism... Help me out here, Meta.
I am thinking more along the lines of bigotry and hatred based on traditions/scriptures, arrange marriages, stupid dress codes, God, and the like.
I will never understand why people let useless and stupid traditions run their lives or let antiquated idealogy influence their behavior. This is the 21st century. The time of arranged marriages and the thought of women being inferior to men are so 16th to 19th century.
The rights of an individual is greater than centuries old traditions or scripture.
Excess of resources and no true moral guidance. That is a very bad combination. I will never understand the urge of people wanting to blow things up in real life. I mean its all well and good in video games or in the movies, but the line needs to be drawn when it comes to doing it for real. Also I don't get why people need to go to extremes in their beliefs and force those beliefs on others. Don't they have any respect for others? Just because someone isn't Islamic does not mean they deserve to be killed and some worthless jihad. Life is too short as it is to be caught up in something like that. Life is to be enjoyed, not scarred by violence. If people just left each other alone and have a more moderate and respectful view of each other and the world in general a lot of suffering would just go away.
Well, I just watched episode 1 to 19 and I have to say I like what I am watching. I would like to see them use the same characters, those who do survive, in the next season. Hiro, Claire, and Mr. Linderman are my favorite so far.
Because you never have the one that we want in plain sight! It's always hidden off in some corner!
But if you know where it is at why does it still take you 30 minutes!
