  1. Yes. At that age they should be developed enough to handle most situations they can get themselves in. I was. Even after that age is reached I would still keep a relatively close eye on the child until the early to mid teens. I would be a parent and not one of those buggers who expects the media, the schools, and the government to raise their kids.
  2. I don't live in a glass house. I have an apartment. And if I had a child she or he wouldn't be left unsupervised til I know he or she can take care of his or herself which more than likely be somewhere around 7 to 9 years old.
  3. That is only 79% true.
  4. Not yet, but I do know better than let a 4 year old be by herself.
  5. Cats talking! Cats with opposable thumbs! They are evolving!
  6. Its performing better than XP, but then again the only 3D software I use tends to be games.
  7. I have to agree with Gifted1 on that. You don't leave children that young unattended and unsupervised at all.
  8. I don't have narrow taste in games. I just know what I like and what I don't like.
  9. They were fired the last I heard. EDIT: Oh, they were only suspended til the end of the year. Damn slap on the wrist. They should have been fired and their licenses and creditials revoked.
  10. Starring Mark Hammil and Jennifer Tilly!
  11. I just couldn't get into it. I thought it was terrible.
  12. I don't know why people are so against Vista. So far its been the most stable OS I have used yet.
  13. I'm sorry.
  14. If I ignore my standards I would lower myself to the least common denominator and that would be just to horrifying. At least I am willing to give it a chance, a 17% chance. There are some nutcases that wouldn't even do that. I am looking at you Dark Raven.
  15. Throwing a cat face first in to a wall is damn cruel.
  16. No particle accelerator needed!
  17. If a teacher or a group of teachers done this to my child, if I had children, I think a lawsuit would be in order. Not a lawsuit for money mind you, but a lawsuit that makes sure these people have nothing to do with the teaching profession for the rest of their lives and no contact with children whatsoever. For teachers to be useful in a community there needs to be a level of trust between the teacher, the student, and the community and these teachers broke that trust big time.
  18. Anyone who is willing to harm and abduct a child like this are definite sick folks. I do hope they find the child then string up the bastard that took her.
  19. It doesn't matter if it was to deliberate to traumatize these children or not, the fact remains that they were. The teachers in this incident used very poor judgement and should be duly punished for their actions. There was no cause for this action whatsoever. Pretending to be a gunman seeking to kill children is not in any shape or form an innocent idea.
  20. My current PC is a heavily modified store bought. My next PC will be a custom built job.
  21. And that is how we get events like Virgina Tech.
  22. When is it ever humorous to traumatize a child?
  23. Possibly. They have stated that it is going to take place on the East coast.
  24. One is in character and the other is not, at least in theory. I don't really consider Guild Wars a true MMORPG, but more of a MMORPG-lite type game that bridges traditional hack and slash with massive online capability. Like I said, its a platypus.
  25. Gee, then what are all those people, run by players, doing inside the cities I visited. It looks like they are playing the game all together to me.
