  1. Moviebob Chipman the ever righteous justice warrior being classy retweeting just the pic of the thumbnail from Boogie2988's video (fairly tame), with no additional comment. The reason I can only guess being "look at that neckbeard loser haha". Boogie2988 is a nice guy with a sad story and resulting health issues. Good job Bob on being a hypocrite.
  2. Oh my the woman sweats acid.
  3. First of all nothing should be omitted. Because even your usual "objectification" perpetrator like bouncy boobed Dead or Alive volleyball is not something I see a problem with. As silly as that is, it is a male sexual fantasy that has a right to be made. Second it won't stop there. The real issue is that content producers will de facto be subject through a screening process of a small clique of censors that no one asked for. Average gamer certainly didn't. And it's even questionable if the average woman did. That is the opposite of diversity. The collective Anita isn't so much interested in providing for all people. It's not about asking you what you want it's about allowing you what they have decided is good for you. The main line Anita pedals these days is that media is shaping society, but it's doing it wrong. And she wants to shape society. Feminists often say they want diversity and for different voices to be heard. But the atmosphere they've created is that you're either with them or you're with the people who send death & rape threats. Nothing in between, no nuance, no allowance for complexity. You must be a rape apologist dare you suggest a rape victim used poor judgement in her choices. You see women as objects dare you dig that certain art style and design. The very fact that you have white skin, a ****, and like girls invalidates your opinion on the matter and I will openly tell you so with a straight face, but even a hint of the reverse and you're the worst of scum. I will judge you by the worst example among you, but remember that not all feminists are the same. I will also never confront the worst amongst us, but you must take a stand against the bigots and the trolls.
  4. What will happen is that game devs will not be free to make games however they want despite the fact that they like it that way and their audience likes it that way. Because they will be afraid of the outrage squad that is going to monopolize the discussion in the gaming media.
  5. Because these people will not stop at getting a more diverse selection of games. They will want to police what everyone plays. They will keep hounding developers until what only they deem is appropriate is allowed in and everything "offensive" is made taboo or else people be branded misogynists.
  6. Some feminists want to cut men's **** off but you wouldn't accept that as an argument.
  7. Wait Call of Duty is in 39 days? I always forget how fast they print this stuff out...
  8. Whatever point is in that article is ruined by Leigh's condescending altitude and careless generalization.
  9. That's because it's a she.
  10. I feel for her if it is a real threat. If someone threatened me using my real address where I live it would be deeply uncomfortable even if I thought it was all talk. However the people who think they can rid the internet of every nutjob is living in a fantasy land. This should not be used a crutch to shut people up or paint them with the same brush as some out there are already doing.
  11. When the very definition of this practice explicitly allows for a scenario where a better qualified person may be passed over because they don't have a vagina the best way I can muster to see this is as a lesser evil. Which should be understood as temporary and regularly re-evaluated in detail. Because equality it is not.
  12. By legislation you mean forcing people to hire X amount of women? This cannot be a long term solution. No doubt this has resulted in a different kind of unfair hiring practices.
  13. Personally I don't find this believable, at least not on average. Outside of internet crazies I have never met a business person that would just brush off an application because it is a woman. But lets suppose this exists and is massively practised. What would the reasoning be? Just that "I don't like women" or is there some perception that a woman with kids will work less and is more high maintenance?
  14. You know what the average feminist these days might say about this thread? "Oh look a bunch of straight white men are mansplaining something to me. lulz, *ignore*" And don't even try to rationalize how that's ok to say as long as the target is straight white man. You either treat people equally or you don't. Period.
  15. Good. I was holding back on selling some of mine thinking there is something to gain.
  16. Is there a benefit to getting a full set of those cards? I mean if you get xp and level up does it help you collect them easier afterwards or something?
  17. I think people should be able to do want they want to do and cater to who they want to cater to. And as more women get into 'hardcore' gaming people will appear who will recognize the market potential there and cater to them specifically. Or be 'fair' and make 'neutral' games. I believe that's a fine thing to promote and I gladly play those games too if I find them interesting. What I don't like is the outrage brigade that makes a fuss any time someone puts big boobs in a game or writes a damsel in distress plot. What I don't believe is that any of that is misogyny.
  18. Because no one reports on them or because no one comes to accuse the reporters of harassment afterwards?
  19. Yes. Lets round them up and put them to work.
  20. Should be Battlefield. Which is almost true.
  21. Not exactly what I said. Don't they though? Every triple A has a touch of Call of Duty. Everyone chases that audience. It defines modern gaming if you haven't noticed, it defines what is a typical gamer to many people. That's why it is this game you brought up. The loud, obnoxious, violent fantasy of the average boy. What defines the mainstream female audience? What is going to be the typical female gamer in the triple A space? Someone who plays the video game version of Sarah Connor or Kim Kardashian's dress up game done in Unreal engine?
  22. I'm saying that if triple A game makers start targeting women in earnest they will go for what's actually popular amongs the masses of girls more often than not and not what the gaming's feminist clique would like to be popular.
  23. I look forward to seeing what's most popular with women in other entertainment industries finally come to gaming. Twilight in video game form. That paragon of feminist values which will show them sexist male developers.
