Yes this is indeed annoying. Mine is automatically set in Spanish and there is nothing you can do to change it.

Aimed to preserve Ukraine? It was not a popular protest. It was a western Ukrainian protest. If it was a popular protest the country would not be divided now. And before you say it, no Russia couldn't create something in a month that wasn't already there. When nationalists capture police stations in west Ukraine and take guns and go freely waving them around, controlling the streets, controlling government buildings. No one says a word. People in the East have been questioning this for weeks before any insurgency started. And now I present the legal combat units of the legally elected democratic Ukrainian government that those unlawful easterners should stop fighting and submit to, eh? Because who would ever resist an official Ukrainian interior ministry battalion formed from nationalists with their copy cat nazi symbol. Totally illegal to fight them. Yeah they probably did and it's horrible. But unless it was deliberate don't imply someone's got the moral high ground there. Ukraine committed worse atrocities by now. And so did US and Russia or anyone who's been in a serious war. That Iranian Airbus in 1988 comes to mind.

The Iraq war was a disgrace, but sometimes we forget just how much

I think after having declared mission complete getting involved again would just finalize the failure. Maybe they are praying against all odds Iraq can still fend for itself after it's been 'liberated'. -
Yanukovich was elected too and there were armed people amongst the protesters.

By this standard even the Soviet Union was a democracy because on some levels it worked that way too. But when push comes to shove it doesn't and neither does a military as a whole.
-
There are no democratic armed forces. You don't need to explain to me what drones are for. But AI is just not there yet and if your comms fail and you have no humans to do the job you're screwed.
-
Communication line and/or AI will always be a glaring vulnerability for any drone. Unless they invent Skynet.

Don't joke I'm sure that's exactly what will happen if the Russians get to it first You've implied far more than that. And you don't know what you're talking about. I never justified anything. A plane shouldn't have been where a Buk-M1 was lost by Ukrainian millitary weeks ago. It's a fact, not a justification. Someone in charge of this messed up, it's not just the rebels who predictably shoot at everything that flies over them. So lets focus on your accusation, what exactly "do I not know what I'm talking about " That's the plance was shot down by Ukrainian separatists or the Russians have the flight recorder? The implication which you agreed with that Russia will take the black box and do something nefarious with it like hide it and what's on it. Not only you don't know this but it looks like Russia doesn't even want to keep it at least officially. So perhaps hasty conclusion even there.

The only people who are retarded are the ones who honestly believe a bunch of rebels would know not to fire at an aircraft flying over what is a battlefield. Because anyone with half a brain would not expect a hastily organized irregular militia to be able to properly analyse that type of information or have the proper command structure to make those kinds of decisions. In 1988 US navy with all its equipment mistook an Iranian A300 for an F-14 and killed 290 people. But hey I guess it's totally reasonable to expect the Donetsk People's Republic militia to make a superior judgement.

You know I'm not big on conspiracies but if you direct a civilian aircraft through a zone where you've lost multiple planes including at high altitude and where you know rebels shoot at anything that flies above (it's not like they can tell) you're either very negligent... or you're manufacturing an incident.

Strelkov_info or whatever it's called is maintained by someone or a group of people who just scour internet forums and news postings putting every rumour on the front page. It doe not belong to Strelkov, he said so himself explicitly long before this.

For the last time the rebel leader does not have a vk.

But now seriously. It's entirely probable that the rebels shot down this liner thinking it's a Ukrainian plane using captured Ukrainian sams which may or may not be functional -- the picture of a rebel Buk-m1 that made rounds on the internet actually had red tipped training missiles on. Now the Ukrainians who claim they don't use sams in their operations are lying. Not only have rebels captured one Su-25 which they may or may not use and Ukrainian claims of Russian helicopters crossing the border which they threatened to shoot or the UAVs some of which they have shot at. Here is a video of Ukrainian Buk-m1 moving into Slaviansk a little over 10 days ago together with the attacking forces (0: 55): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2eGNPJlkMo Ukrainian military of today is not exactly brilliant or organized or honest. It is entirely possible it was their mistake.

Apparently Russian presidential plane flying from Latin America flew on the same course just minutes before. Get your tinfoil hats.

It is true. He said weeks that all social media accounts claiming to be from him are fake.

The core of ISIS are chechen millitants. These are the most vile fighters anywhere without regard for who they fight armed soldiers or children, they prefer the latter when they can't deal with the former. If they ever get kicked out of Iraq and Syria more than likely we'll have to kill them ourselves somewhere in Dagestan. I don't know what oby is cheering. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2677683/The-face-evil-Young-red-bearded-Chechen-recognisable-commander-Isis-terror-group.html Plus the new Iraq government would be a good client for our arms industry. There are already good deals in place and if they collapse no one knows what happens. I don't want ISIS parading in front of brand new Mi-28 helicopters that are soon to be deliverd to Iraq.
