On the subject of Dying Light. When you dive in the water and resurface it simulates the "your eyes are covered in water and things are blurry" effect, it's unsubtle and pretty annoying.
-
I've read it that motion blur is supposed to be something or other more realistic. I still don't understand how.

Sure you can. if you trust the source of the file.

I've tried to kill the the fast night zombies in Dying Light by sneaking up on them from behind to score a few hits followed by uv flashlight and some more melee. But seems I just don't have the weapons and skills for that yet. On another note human enemies are pretty tricky. Which line in the ini? I'm really enjoying the game btw, hopefully I won't end up overpowered as most of the fun comes from surviving. What Keyrock said. This may be a little clearer though: Go to Dying light located in your steam library folder: C: Program Files 86 / Steam / SteamApps/ Common/ Dying Light / DW With WinRar Installed open Data0.pak and extract it to C:\Users\"username"\Documents\DyingLight\out Then Open the out folder. You will see additional folders of data/logs/settings. Got to Data/ Scripts / and look for varlist_noise.scr Open notepad Drag the varlist_noise.scr file into it and change the 0.15 to 0.00. Hit save and leave the the Data0.pak where it is. http://www.reddit.com/r/dyinglight/comments/2tus4n/how_to_disable_film_grain/

That quote encapsulates Pediepie's shtick perfectly. I don't get his popularity. But I don't get it the same way I don't get reality TV or Michael Bay movies or *insert whatever obnoxious pop culture thing*.

Disabled the film grain effect in Dying Light by messing with the files. I like the game better this way. This should really be in the options menu.

Dying Light. People seem to have technical issues but mine seems to work surprisingly well on a comparatively ancient 6970. Barely touched the story, doing some sidequests and just messing around. Parkoured up a ramp over a pit and straight into a drop-kick which launched a zombie straight into a burning car. Game has potential for some creative sandbox zombie killing. Although jury is out if they could realize the full potential.

I get this creepy feeling that we are slowly edging towards where it will be declared one day that identifying as a dragon is a-ok and you can't say anything about it.

So this is what started the TB thing:
-
A lot of the stuff they wrote deals with ways to protect yourself from getting doxxed, etc. If someone else like a GGer wrote it they would brand it as victim blaming.

I know I'm trivializing what some people go through. But... "survivors of internet harassment" would be a punchline to a joke not so long ago.
-
A paid career of circle jerking and complaining on Twitter. I'm kinda jealous.

"...rather a calculated, long-in-the-works effort to erase unwanted diversity...While the leaders of the movement haven’t been pinpointed, we know they and their swarm of followers convene on the websites 4chan and 8chan.... All the while, the anonymous leaders calculate every move..." One may hate gamergate but I mean come on... And then they think others are conspiracy theorists.

I feel like 2 gigs of ram on the 960 could end up holding it back sooner rather than later.

Also... dear lord Jon...

Edit: wrong thread.

No big deal. I respect the position as outlined by TrueNeutral for why the thread may be uncomfortable. Personally I think "objectification based on gender" is modern PC bollocks however but I am leaving it be.
-
Translation: It is not about targeting women as I -- a white man -- got on their nerves effortlessly by saying stupid things and being a jackass about it. Proving more points than intended. Thank you Jon.

I am liking the power efficiency of these newer cards. The power consumption creep seems to have been halted and thankfully my PSU will be fine as is for a while yet.
