  1. Red Wings for life, the 90's days were heavenly as the wings were undefeated for a string of years. The days were Yzerman, Federov, Lindstrom, Osgood were the team everyone feared. I don't think there will ever be a better lineup in our lifetime.
  2. For us who live in the Americas, it's $10.00 off, bringing the price from $59.99 to $49.99.
  3. Sunless Skies fixes that issue, you see it actually has a revamped U.I compared to Sunless Sea. So revamped, in fact that the game actually supports gamepad/controllers this time (I smell a console port in the near future? Could happen!).
  4. Here's something he didn't mention: The first Sunless game was actually called Fallen London and it's free. It is a browser/mobile game so you can try it out and if you like it you have an idea of what you'll get from Sunless Sea and Sunless Skies. It's also set in the same universe. https://www.fallenlondon.com/login Progress from the mobile version can be carried over to the Windows Browser version and vice verse.
  5. Hearing that peeps are playing/enjoying games that I backed always makes me smile a bit I'll back whatever the Sunless crew does next as well.
  6. I just don't want another Worf... ^Some of Star Trek's worst lines and worst humor. As long as STD doesn't sink to that level (and it hasn't yet), it will be fine.
  7. Idk man.. Do you play all these games though or do you just say they're bad because you see a wave of releases of games being released that you either know nothing about or that you have no desire to play? There's the difference. I filtered visual novel and dating sims out of my personal Steam search engine, as well as RPGmakers - this doesn't mean that people enjoy them for the reasons they were created for. There's no such thing as knowing that you'd hate something without trying it regardless of how much is passing through a gate unchecked, I'm not denying there are some garbage titles but it's not like Steam has more garbage circulating than on Origin/GoG or whatnot. Epic is newer so I can't really compare the catalog ratio when it only has a few games. People have the right throw a tantrum, Epic Games Store exclusivity on PC platform is quite different from consoe exclusivity - Perhaps it's not such a sheeple mentality when the games were announced and marketed specifically for/on Steam for say a year or longer and then drastically halted to do an Epic exclusivity announcement. Had these games been marketed for Epic directly, your point would stand but since the opposite happened, Valve and those whining brats are in the right. That's probably why members on this forum are going to skip (or wait rather) for Metro Exodus to release on GoG/Steam. If it was a Kickstarter game for Steam that suddenly went to Epic exclusively, the backlash would be even greater but still rightfully so.
  8. This is going to sound super shallow of me but I am skipping RE2 simply because the color pallete, everything looks more or less metal and greenish, it's something I just can't stand. Very few games turn me off with their graphics (whether new or old) but this is one of them. I watched a stream for about 2 hours because I already knew I was going to skip it, hoping it would change my mind. I loved RE0 and RE1 remasters though. There will always be something about RE1's mansion and lightning/thunder. If you play it in surround sound, it's even so much better where you can hear the rain run down the glass windows and across the roof. My horror go-to's though will always be The Evil Within and Alan Wake. I always want to buy RE Revelations when it's on Steam sale but I always pass it by. I like the idea of beng stuck on an infected ship.
  9. Well, better than the actual thing
  10. Better than the actual thing
  11. With good reason, Valve is just speaking on behalf of all non-Epic Games Stores customers. Even CDPR agrees (essentially saying the same thing months ago). Hmmmm... Nintendo executive for 12 years leaves to join Microsoft which plans to renovate 2nd and 3rd party games/content. Does this mean we'll see Xbox get good again? You know, before 360 and XB1 ruined things teehee
  12. It's probably gonna be horrible but it will also be tons of fun. You can bet my wife and I will probably go see it like 3 or 4 times within the first week and a half lol
  13. I'd have to disagree. The ratio of "crap" titles on Steam isn't different from GoG, it's just more intimadating to users who prefer GoG's more streamlined catalog. There's nothing wrong with Steams catalog, even Greenlight has given us amazing titles but if you have an issue with it, you can filter them out via the settings tab in the Steam store. Then again, wise men say "One man's garbage is another man's treasure" has always rang true in such an instance. There are some games on GoG which I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole but someone 10 years older than me might think is the greatest thing ever, simply because they had fond memories of the game. So many factors and variables come into play regardless of what others may say. That's probably why some games are called cult hits and also why we have games with niche audiences. And for the record, everything that has tried so hard to damage Steam's market has only pressed it further. Look at Epic's exclusivity deals. Isn't it ironic that barely anyone will refuse to buy a game for having a "anti-consumer" drm such as Denuvo, but yet a year exclusivity deal with Epic will cause a multitude of backlash which actually manifests in cancellations of pre-orders and potential buyers. You'd think it would be the opposite judging by all the supposed anti-drm cultists floating around the net but seems more like they support Steam in the end rather than not anyway. It's just a funny observation, nothing more but still it affects every one of us digital pc gamers just the same.
  14. For some reason I am expected alot of load screens but quick ones that only last 10 seconds (on faster pc's). The game is said to have multiple huds so this wouldn't be too far off.
  15. What will be truly impressive though is if it manages to keep this momentum through out. Let's shoot for that world record folks!
  16. Any guesstimates? I'm hoping for $39.99-$44.99. Judging by all the info we've collected so far, this seems fair. An Obsidian title with an Obsidian price. I would pay $60 but it seems like $45 would be more of a sweetspot for this type of title.
  17. I know that feeling all too well, it's better to not care than to dwell on it - you have the right attitude
  18. Just watched episode 1 of... We already knew it would be good because India Eisley was in it. What we didn't know? That Chris Pine would be better at playing a detective than Captain Kirk (remarkable since he played Jaymed Ty Kirk phenomenally). Worth the wait, indeed.
  19. But she isn't a con-artist Did you beat it yet? Do you like it or no? I really liked it, then after I was done the novelty wore off and I began to see that the game's strongest points were also it's deepest flaws.
  20. I didn't say it was, just throwing my two cents in about it since many believe in shills for whatever reason anyway. It's still relevant but it's all good, just bored I guess
  21. I highly doubt that anyone's paying someone not to like Orville though, I mean I can understand if someone paid someone to give a positive review for said product but STD isn't in any way competing with Orville so kinda strange for anyone to make it appear as such. But yeah, you're right I mean, we as a people review things based on our likings so therefore bias will cloud any review or word of mouth anyway. Meh... Maybe we just have bad taste. Maybe the rest of the world isn't wrong. Who knows. What I do know is that any Sci-Fi fan will see both whether on television or streaming service and what not so that ends the dilemma for most of which to pick - they don't really have to pick.
  22. It seems 2-dimensional coded npc's have more political logic than we are a human race. We just possess political nonsense, for we have yet to solve the mystery of time ane space. How is that? It's humanity's lowest point in which whereas we assume to know but have nothing for show. In this essence, we believe in something. https://youtu.be/6nNYYZfYflE More political greatness in games. We as consumers should be so lucky to experience being forced into having some hidden political agenda shoved down our throats. It is a privilege, we should enjoy it while we can instead of some who whine about it because they are weak and can't handle other's opinions or perspective. I love the generation of media we are in CW shows are doing an amazing job at it by including just abiut everything they can. Just a prime example, and they have some similar things like the Fallout vid.
  23. You must be really that clueless, or maybe you've never gone on Steam forums where trolls run there rampant proclaiming how bad Steam is.... yet they're on Steam forums and like I said, it's the same few over and over. It's no wonder they keep getting temporary bans and show up on the next big release
  24. Steam has alot of haters but they are very few and far between. You will see in almost every Steam forum game specific hub, certain users giving devs and publishers the ultimatum of "I won't buy your game unless you put it on GoG". These are always the same small amount of people though. They are loud and proud but not many of them. Devs never go for it because they know GoG sales and market vs Steam's track record. Steam on the otherhand has the biggest digital gaming market place percentage - and with good reason. It's not like Origin, GoG and Epic Games Store combined user-base will make up 5% of Steam's user base, though many would like to believe it. That's why I laugh when someone claims that GoG or Origin could outlast Steam on any level. Nevermind the fact that Steam is also the testing grounds for VR market, sells editing software, films and other things non-gaming which GoG, Origin and Epic don't do. Bit Epic DOES do early access for awesome games like Steam does. I know the argument will be "Greenlight games suck" but the fact of the matter woukd ne that Greenlight has brought more amazing games than not and it wouldn't go without saying that eveeyone here has benefitted from Steam's Greenlight. Personal experience: I have never been screwed over by Valve in the 5+ years that I've been on there, never had an issue with anything but maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones. Maybe Valve is really an evil mega-corporation and there's some tangible proof out there, somewhere.... Oh wait. There is! They continually troll us with Half Life 3!! But I have never been screwed over by GoG, Blizzard, Epic, Ubi or Origin either. I like Epic just for the free games that are actually worth playing - unlike Origin giving away some "On the house" nonsense. Steam usually gives a game worth playing every 1 or 2 months. The only way I think GoG is niche is in it's fanbase size, and tbf it's probably not growing. Steam, Blizzard and Epic are growing constantly but nobody really will ever stand a chance at taking Steam down and if it was anybody, it wouldn't be GoG, it would be Epic for actually getting 1 year excluvity on good games. So far that's actually hurt the devs and publishers though so...
  25. Yes, that was a myth debunked long ago. Sonic Mania is just one example, and Denuvo wasn't even removed from it but yeah, pretty much every game with Denuvo has been modded.
