RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - CON SEASON
SonicMage117 replied to Blarghagh's topic in Computer and Console
I think young talent is always good to recruit though, the beightest minds are usually the inexperienced since they are so fresh and untainted. All the old folk developers have only failed our hopes for producing our dream games in the past so it's time for a change. Question is, will we as older gamers embrace younger talented folk, will we be able to do so without criticizing them like the nagging wife due to old habbit expectations? I feel most of the time I am too hard on them personally but with the new indie movement proving that a single teenager can make a game that can hold its own when put up against our nost beloved games, the journey towards more wisdom sought to continue. It's something we must all strive for since none of us are developers/programmers. -

So much for gaming news.... Politics. Allow me to bring you all back to enlightenment. This is a beautiful box and it's a plus because since Diablo 3 is better than Diablo 1 and 2, being portable and playable with a better u.i, a wheel inventory and better/more precise controls. It's a yes for any rpg fan -
Oddly it took me much longer to 100% Spiderman than it did Arkham Knight. The thing that makes it odd? Well the fact that Arkham Knight has much more content. I don't have many "perfect" games but Spiderman, Arkham Knight and Lego games are in a museum for a reason.

Ok, that confirms it.Confirms what, that I am BruceVC or that BruceVC is me? It's a rhetorical question that makes a fault in historical dilemmas as such.. The egg before the chick, etc.

I remember when I use to be compared to Oby....that was hilarious People are going to compare when they don't like something you say, it's a natural thing on the forum when a minority agrees within a certain circle. You aren't the only person I've been compared to though, I've been compared to 5 or 6 other users as well. I remember Achilles saying getting yelled at by mods because he would always comment "Oh look a sockuppet!" And "You must be the same person, an alternate account" to someone that agreed with me and disagreed with him in an argument. BruceVC is intelligent though - in this world and any other - so this is perhaps a compliment to some form? Yes. We are all Oby and we are all one, we are the samem we are DALEK!!

Sony keeps hitting it out of the park.. https://www.thegamer.com/medievil-remaster-release-date-tease/?utm_source=TG-FB-P&utm_medium=Social-Distribution&fbclid=IwAR1b8Ze5BsE6jGDf-cTcjGdIbufSW4TPDppUFN6aCPYDsIWJbZ9-VrY2pw8 Medieval remaster is coming. -
It's strange how shallow characters can be popular because of "cool" factor huh? I guess it's no different from a female chracter being popular just because she's hot. Anyway, they seemed to have made all the right choices with the new game. It basically is the tonal opposite if the other games in the franchise. I think games like this showcase how developers and storytelling have only evolved.

If anyone took on Baldurs Gate, I'm glad it was Beamdog

I've been switching off between Lego DC Super Villains and Soul Calibur 6. Lego DC Super Villains proves that a "kids" game is more quality than the superior adult game in story and in length. Also, it got awarded best voice cast in the history of gaming - that's pretty huge in the guiness book of record. It has 80 well known actors and every one performance is high, you do the math. Soul Calibur 6 proves that a 3D fighting game can involve more strategy than Chess. There's been quite a few big games this week vut SC6 remains on both top selling #1 and most trending game since Spider-Man PS4 for a reason. Simplicity is the most complex when simplicity is best. #Olicity

Yeah, thats what I mean too, mouse gets super uncomfy and even a high end wrist bar won't fix the problem. Terrible, kinda like playing 2D platformers with keyboard to that effect.
-
I don't understand why they used a controller for the stream. Are console ports even on the table? I heard this was just to make it easier to look at since mouse movements can be twitchy. I think it was quite clearly visible that the bloke doing the demo is not a gamepad player. Agreed. That's the problem with mouses being precise, it creates an issue, especially if you want a video to look smooth vs janky as hell. I assume that's why most people who play a more complex space sim prefer a joystick or controller over a mouse for the driving/looking around?

I'd have to disagree, voting with our wallets our wallets has no affect one way or the other whatsoever if a game continues to have micro-transactions or not. In most cases, it's the publisher's decision anyway, who make the call. If you are not forced, why should the dev recieve punishment for it? But I don't believe in the ever growing paranoia amongst the community that pre-purchasing, micro-transacrions and dlc are bad and anti-comsumer, it's just choice. It's only really anti-consumer when it becomes anti-player (pay-to-win progression walls) which is very rare unless you're in an f2p pvp mmo or a mobile experience. Nobody is being forced, some people just don't like that others can blow money. I'm not guessing wrong here, I've seen such a discussion on Steam hehe In the case that open world action driven games have done or are doing rpg elements far better than Crpg/Arpg, for this is true, I often ask myself why it's hard for developers to include such things into their rpg, then I remember that Crpg/Arpg are usually more laid-back and casual experiences. I definitely would love a Crpg with the rpg elements that alot of modern open world game does well, for that would be a Crpg to remember. Truly.
-
Hmmm.. I like their open world games, people hate admitting it but some tend to implement rpg elements and actually do them better than rpg games. I enjoy Ubi type open worlds as long as they have a hook. Watch Dogs was great because you can hack nearly everything which made cop chases particularly entertaining and I got so many laughs from the hide and seek multiplayer mode, hiding in bushes and such while hacking someone else's cell phone. Tis a forum, all things are to be hated if they aren't a Crpg Reminds of how once in awhile someone on the forum tries to convince everyone how first person shooters and action games suck and are mindless because it's cool to hate those type of games if you're a rpg plyer, some crap like that anyway. I've learned it's usually that the person stating such things just got older and can no longer keep up with the reflexes needed to play such games. Fortunately there's a balance out there, a forum who has people saying the opposite and how the games we like are horrible and overrated. This brings the balance to the world.
-
Lego DC Super Villains was everything I thought it would be and more. They added a dodge/roll button, you can now block proper and parry freely in combat. Add to that the new hard difficulty and RPG elements (Leveling up, Crafting, Character Customization, a first person story with your custom character) and you have a great Lego game - and that's exactly what happened here. Glad I pre-ordered it

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - CON SEASON

They're just stating that developers acknowledge how butthurt people get over politics this era. Can't disagree with them there, with our President Trump being in office makes every Republican who supports him a target, put that into a video game and people will be calling you a right wing extremist because they're too in denial to accept that other people could possibly disagree with them. Good on Ubi. -
Hey, if they don't force you to stab your own kid in the first hour of the game, it is already ahead of AC:Origins. Ezio will always be the best. He had some pizazz. Hear Hear, that's why he got 3 games.Ezio was a character, not the name of a story. Ezio and Altair will live on forever in our hearts but nay they never return to our screens.

Oh my... Oh dear. -
Shadow Of The Tomb Raider has a huge discount right now.
-
The Witcher 3 or as our dear Volo likes to call it "Twitcher". Getting all those fancy armors and finishimg witcher contracts til my most anticipated game if the year comes out tomorrow - Lego DC Super Villains hehe
-
Okay yeah, let's pretend The Order 1886 has poor art syle, blurry graphics and unimpressive detail in order to make consoles look like they're behind a generation still. Hell, while we're add it, let's discard all the other impressive exclusives that run at 1080p at 30fps/60fps with clearer graphics and high contrast, that don't hide things in darkness or are you just going to pretend that PS4 doesn't have games like Horizon Zero Dawn, God Of War, Spider-Man, Detroit and Uncharted 4 (and others) don't exist? Id expect nothing less from Fenixp, true forum logic at its best Edit: Shadow Of The Tomb Raider is now 34% off, making it $39, a pretty large discount considering how short it's been out. Apparently the game didn't sell as well as the first two for whatever reason.

Since Shadow Of The Tomb Raider did the Mayan theme, I'd like to see AssASSins Creed's take on the Mayan mythos, history and lore. I don't care for Greek Mythos much anymore since it's always been a bit boring and in gaming it's used far too often. I think that's why God Of War switched to Norse mythos. Mayan seems to be the new, Greek and Norse feel very last year in comparison but I still want AC Oddysee though to see how it feels, you see.

CDPR teams up with another developer for the development of Cyberpunk 2077. Digital Scapes is a noob dev made up of members from the past such as Bioware, Relic, Radical Entertainment. Will have to keep an eye on CP2077. I know that CDPR already confirmed the release would be in 2019 when their publisher tweeted it (with the window) but this definitely isn't the best way to go about it. -
