  1. Well the fact that action games still have more realistic tomances than any rpg has til this day makes it noticible to me and makes those romances more memorable and meaninful. I suppose one can make plenty of arguments for this if one truly feels they must defend rpg's tacky romances but I'm just remaining realistic here. Rather that someone coming around and asking "But Sonic, what action games have a good romance?" Which would tell me that person may not have too much experience with romance knowledge in games, I'll ask "Can you name me a few action games which put any rpg romance to shame? You should easily be able to at this point". Unless of course people still blindly consider a 5 second cut-scene with nudity as a cutscene that is....
  2. That Halloween sale on Steam was pretty awesome!
  3. I think it will be (almost) everything No Man's Sky promised to be. It's going to be really good, possibly buggu because it's so ambitious but still... great nonetheless.
  4. Let me know how it is. I had the first one free on PS4, it was just "okay" and nothing special. I ended up getting bored and eventually trading it in. However, the sequel may be totally different. K.
  5. Sad thing is that someone really remade Fallout: New Vegas, I imagine most New Vegas fans would find something to whine and complain about but that's ultimately okay because people like myself (who were driven mad by the ugly color pallette of the original and really bad art style in general) would really appreciate this for every thing that we know actually makes it an improved version. There's nothing wrong with giving people the chance to replay a game in a different way but at the same time, we know that there will be purists who are angered for no reason. Point being, yes, it looks great. Much rather play this version personally.
  6. I'm sure SOMEONE herr will argue this lol If we're being honest, how good (or how quality) games are, are truly subjective to each player induvidually which clouds everyone's sense of reason to begin with since we are all drawn to different things. However, I will say that some games costs more human misery to make them more than others... ^Hyper Light Drifter is such an example, the developer was literally so sick that he could not finish the Switch port. Dealing with a life-threatening situation and interjecting that negative energy into something great is something nobody here can do, hell, nobody in the industry has ever done it before (if I'm wrong, someone feel free to correct this) It should be commended. ^That Dragon Cancer is another great example in which no other game can match. Here you have a couple who made a game based on the true story of losing their child to cancer. It's possibly the most painstakingly game to develop emotionally wise.
  7. I just got back from my family vaca in Australia and New Zealand, before that I got super busy with my work. I wonder how long I was away from the forums here, maybe 2 months? Meh. It's what happens when you have a life outside the net I guess. It's good to be back though Anyway, tonight I'm firing it up and I will be playing Lego Marvel Super Heroes 1 as the 2nd is releasing in a week! Also, nice to see a new member
  8. I didn't think it was since they didn't believe in a higher power or the afterlife but after doing deeper research and conversing among aethiests themsleves, it seems to me that the absense of a god or afterlife is the very thing that ironically classifies it as a religeon, for if there is no judgment awaiting to condemn you then there is no need for a conscience, morality and surely sin does not exist, the concepts of good and evil are thrown out the window. Aetheism is so interesting and it's definitely unique but even in the absense of all things, it still defines itself by general religeous traits. It wasn't until I started learning about it out of sheer curiousity and the more that I saw how aetheists claimed that it wasn't, the more that evidence proved otherwise. I have quite a few friends who are aethiests so the topic of aetheism always fascinated me - though never shook my faith as a Christian. Thus, you may find this a good read: https://strangenotions.com/is-atheism-a-religion/ ^At which explains much better than I ever could on a thread or forum.
  9. Do you have a problem with what I said? It feels like your trying to make an argument of the valid points I made... or trying to make it seem like I somehow comtradicted myself which I didn't, perhaps I wasn't clear enough, I'll explain further and hopefully you'll understand where I am coming from. I guess first off I'll say, a small percent of Christians do not represent Christians as a whole. Just as someone from your religeon who does something stupid does not represent your religeon whether it would be aethiesm, Christianity or anything else. I don't know the guy so I don't really know his walk with God, he could be a real Christian or for all I know he could be a troll who is trying to make Christians and churches look bad - because that's never happened before *wink wink* The fact remains the same, Christians have always used Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays inside and outside church without issue. The situation of the Starbucks cups isn't that Christians had a problem with the phrase "Happy Holidays", it's that the phrase "Merry Christmas" was replaced and that means it was essentially banned. So it's a totally different argument altogether. I'm a Christian and I think the video that the guy made was stupid and ignorant. Making such claims that Starbucks hates Jesus when that was not the point, the point was that they changed it so that it wouldn't offend anyone and lose their customers. Starbucks most likely did not want to change it but that's that. As a Christian I don't let it stop me from drinking their coffee and I doubt any mature Christian would as we understand that there are more possibilities than what most people might think to be going on.
  10. And people leaving their decorations up for months after just because they're too lazy to put everything up lol I remember the Starbucks thing, I think the thing was that Christians got mad because the cups originally had Merry Christmas and not Happy Holidays which they replaced it with. Of course, this being long after Happy Holidays term users declared war on term Merry Christmas. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2015/11/09/starbucks-removed-christmas-from-their-cups-because-they-hate-jesus-christian-says-in-viral-facebook-video/?utm_term=.48840bfe3248 Here is a silly video that a "Christian" made saying that Starbucks hates Jesus because they replaced the phrase but you know, I'm not opposing the idea that this may actually be a person who says that they're a Christian but just wanted to stir things up on social media instead, causing Christians to look silly. The Christians that I know would never make Christianity or the church look like such a joke. I mean, I guess every religeon has their nutjobs, every ones that don't consider their religeons as a religeon hehe
  11. I know for a fact that isn't true, and if you doubt me I'll create a compilation of Christians whining about happy holidays. You got it wrong, the non-Christian are the ones who are trying to remove Christmas altogether because of "Christ", Christians have never had a problem with the phrase Happy Holidays. I know for a fact that churches have always used Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Even a simple search on Youtube will show this. But for interest of discussion, what reason do you think Christians would try to remove the word Happy Holidays? Just curious. If you're referring to the constant marketing of Christian Churches saying "Just say Nerry Christmas" that's because they don't want the term Merry Christmas to die, it's not because they have a problem with the term Happy Holidays. It's quite different.
  12. I never played much of RDR except for a few minutes at a friend's but I have GTAV... The story was meh compared to Watch Dogs, felt like a joke. The world is nice when you're driving or flying through it. Walking around is 50/50. If you can max the settings it can feel alive but probably nothing compared to Watch Dogs 2 which is one of the most responsive open worlds as of late. One of the dullest open world's ever was Red Faction Guerilla lol
  13. Time to get my PS4 out of my closet... well I mean, in spring lol This looks like a freakin movie. I like it!
  14. It was a pretty big thing a few years ago, but I don't think Christians ever whined about the phrase Happy Holidays... after all, they're not trying to interject or squeeze their way into schools, work, etc (It was always Christmas vacation and Merry Christmas until non-Christians attempted to fight it). So no point really in Christians complaining about it, also the fact that church thrives in both phrases Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays as Easter weekend and Christmas is the most visited church services in America.
  15. There are literally a million reasons why a Christian can rightfully engage in any traditional American holiday without it contesting their sacred beliefs or hindering their faith and walk with God but I've never heard of decorations being the big argument if Christmas. I always hear it's actually that the non-Christian community wants to replace the phrase "Merry Christmas" with "Happy Holidays" simply because "Christmas" contains "Christ" and that might offend some. There's a great video which explains well of those who want to replace "Christmas" with "Holiday" I mean, I am a Christian but I enjoy Halloween simply because I'm a fan of horror, I enjoy Christmas because I'm a fan of winter season - we get snow here luckily and I also love the lights. I am not a perfect Christian but will not feel guilty about something which does not strike any fear into me, it's hard to escape going into a store for things I need to live and see/enjoy these things anyway. If we judge Christians as cultists for engaging into traditional American holidays, I wonder how much more the average uneducated non-Christian unknowingly participates in an everyday Christian activity, making them casual hypocrites. For example, too many times have I seen aethiests bow their heads or read from the Bible at a funeral. Men who swear there isnt God does not exist will pray at the bedside of their dying loved ones. Non-Christians marry in churches... and such the list goes on, even the words "Jesus", "Christ" or "God" is used in vain daily by people when other religions' heroes are not. It's indeed a bit strange. I'm not defending the embrace of American Christinity, because you are absolutely right. The American Church has been morphed into a place where the five senses can overtake what once was. I'm simply saying the sword goes both way, both for Christianity and non-Christians alike... even though I'm guessing someone will fight me on this one way or the other -it's meant as no offesnse honestly.
  16. I grew up in Michigan, no it's not a Bible belt thing. Things were just different in the 90's, back then God was a huge respect in schools in general but I'm talking general public schools in the 90's, I'm sure 80's and 70's were just as respectful and fearing of the name of "God" if not more. It probably didn't really start changing until right after my time, since then the country has been devolving. I mean, as I said before, we're having one sided decisions made for the sake of comfort but stripping freedom as it were. I'm confused to why students can't be free to take a Bible into school or wear a cross necklace if someone else can wear a pentagram, etc.
  17. For us it was the opposite, it was 10 minutes after the bell rang in the morning and if you were outside then the teachers wanted you to at least barge in and try to finish with the class. For us it was elementary and middle school but I can't remember if it was in High School. Also we had a day called "See ya at the pole" where Christians in the school could come and pray for an hour or something, it was treated honorably. Now that God and Christianity is getting fought to get taken out of schools, everything is changing, or everything has changed since I've graduated.
  18. I grew up in a school where you would get detention if you missed the pledge of allegiance, you were ostracized for not standing and placing your hand over your heart for the anthem, etc etc. But after learning that my sister's kids attend a school where there are literally more transgender and fluid-gender students than normal boys and girls I had to come to accept that fact that America has gone that way. So they may as well not even have male/female labels on their bathrooms. The problem is that Americans are unknowingly sacrificing freedoms at the expense of others or maybe they know and are just ignorant. There can never be total freedom if some freedom from others has to be taken to gain that freedom.
  19. Nevermind.
  20. https://youtu.be/r13-26cOGXM
  21. The following videos explain it better than I can... Of course there are far more examples than this that have been documented but I think they will do.
  22. You must not have kids in school, everything is getting banned -somewhere in every state"- for being offensive, no other reason but that really. Do they really need another reason? Anything to do with crosses has gotten banned for offending freedom of islamic religeon, flags have gotten banned for being hate-speech, pledge of allegiance gets banned for saying "God". It's silly that everyone whines protecting freedoms but yet these freedoms have been stripped. Kinda comical really. Everyone gets so offended at ecerything now days.
