I'm very happy to see that they will reboot/remake Nightmare Creatures. I played it on Dreamcast. I don't remember being able to play as a female though, maybe I've just forgotten. Great game series though.

question about games with a silent protagonist

Lol I love your theories but actually it's something much more simple than that - Design choice. I had done my research on this very subject when I first played Ys Chronicles 1&2 but cannot find the exact video so I'll leave this one and hopefully it will answer your questions. -

This popped up in my YouTube feed today, it seems to be (essentially) drawing inspiration of Clue, from what I can tell... -
Because til this day the gaming community prefer to stay in their comfort zone rather than try something original or different from what their friends are playing. The irony is that the gaming community blames devs/pubs for these things but how quickly they forget that they are the ones voting with their wallets. Insomniac Games is one of those rare developers who love to challenge themselves by stepping out the box a bit. I applaud them for that. Sunset Overdrive, well despite it being an open world third person action game, there's really nothing quite like it.

Wait... I'm confused. I can still purchase games as gifts for friends on my account. I add the game to the cart and press the "Purchase as a gift" button.

Speaking of Idris Elba... If you liked The Edge, Vertical Limit, 8 Below, or The Grey then you'll probably enjoy this. -
RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - 'NON-FAKE-NEWS EDITION'
SonicMage117 replied to Rosbjerg's topic in Computer and Console
That's usually the case. Like I said, there are people out there who are just as good (of not better) than the talent that is in the gaming industry... but people would have to do proper research before realizing such things. It's really no different than anything else in the gaming industry. People will buy a bad CoD game just because of the name/legacy. People will buy a product just because they want to support it and see more.. like when Steam gets a bad port of a localized game, they'll give it a good review despite it's problems simply because they want more of that specific thing. No different than the voice actor thing. If we look at indie games which have lower budget actors or even people who do the voice overs for free simply to get their name out there, they usually are as good or better than AAA top-budget actors. Of course, remastering audio has something to do with it too which people tend to forget. -
Maybe because you can gift Steam cards now I actually still have my gift copy of Sonic The Hedgehog from August... Strange.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - 'NON-FAKE-NEWS EDITION'

I wasn't talking about when voice acting was bad, I was talking about when people are picky to the point where they don't buy a game because it uses a different voice actor. When Kojinma replaced David Hayter with Kiefer Sutherland in MGSV The Phantom Pain, fans were angry, however when the game finally came out they found that despite being a completely different voice, it didn't give Snake or Big Boss a different tone or change the quality of the game, some people will refute it - strangely. I agree that bad-voice acting can ruin any game but if we're being honest, games didn't get any worse/better voice actors during the strike. So I highly doubt the reason was because gamers said anything about it. Edited for bad English. -
That didn't quite make sense. Can only control one bucket of metal and as Felicity said, it was a basic metal, not a special metal. Really, the only good thing about the episode was Kiler Frost - who I'll never get tired of seeing. Flash, Supergirl and Arrow have been getting a bit weird lately.

Uhhh.. anyway, While we're on the subject of Thor Ragnarok: -
Regardless of what anyone says, it's a nice console, as is the PS4. Glad that consoles are still being made, improved and most importantly, they're doing very well on the market. Now the thing Microsoft needs is to get some exclusives. Edit: And by exclusives I mean games that aren't on PC as well.

Yeah, there are so many great voice actors out there that have never been used in video games, just as good as Troy Baker or anyone else. I suppose they caved purely for the reason of legacy and reputable status. Some people don't care but there are also some that would be more likely to buy a game if it had someone familiar or well-known doing the voice overs. The gaming community is awfully picky these days... with everything :/ -
Is it really watered down though or just different? Seens to me that NV fanboys would hate it even if it was 100% accurate but with improved graphics anyway.

I don't think anyone would be disappointed with Thor Ragnarok... so long as they know what it is exactly. I see all the 1980's neon colors in the ads, the fact that it draws that Mad Max: Thunderdome feel (which was also the third film for that hero/anti-hero). Gamers should think "It's the Far Cry: Blood Dragon of the MCU" and that is a very beautiful thing -

To me, Ragnarok was the best so far, followed by The Dark World, then the first in last place. I didn't think any of the movies were bad. I think each of them have a totally different feel so I'm not sure I understand where people come from when they say "The movies are basically the same except more or less in one direction to the extreme or another". The 1st movie was obviously traditional Thor, the 2nd was Science meets fantasy, the 3rd was very Mad Max: Thunderdome like to me. More importantly, the fact that all of these movies are connected to the Avengers films makes it all the more impressive. Which I'm surprised no one has mentioned, so of course if you didn't watch the first Avengers or Civil War, you may be confused about some parts in separate hero movies afterwards which let's face it, is not going to sot well with the viewer - nobody likes feeling stupid or left out after all. I also look at where alot of these ideas in the movies come from, if you're a Marvel reader, you probably already knew about Planet Hulk, Gladiator Hulk and Grandmaster before the movie even was conceptualized. Sprinkled goodness for Marvel fans all around. As far as characters, it's hard to imagine that characters like Heimdell, Sif or Hela as unlikable but oh well, to each their own (I don't expect anyone who doesn't like Marvel movies to know who those even are). -

The new Planet Of The Apes is really good, I like that it felt it had a purpose of tying up the series. I may get some backlash for saying but, my favorite Planet Of The Apes will always be the one with Marky Mark! Even if it went nowhere, I feel that the costumes were much more authentic than the new cgi although the cgi in the newest one is very well done. -

Split is a very slow movie for horror, I'd say the last 20 minutes is what makes the movie worth seeing and the point to point connection to Unbreakable. If your not a fan of M Night Shyamalan then you may not like it or get all the easter eggs which is what the movie was an ode to. I still haven't watched Lady In The Water... I should probably do that as I have enjoyed all of his other work so far. -
Expeditions Viking has a HUGE discount on Steam right now. If you're interested...

That's the thing, if you don't have any interest in the characters before watching the movies then there might not even be a point to watch it at all as it might not even make sense but that's not Marvel or DC's fault and the products aren't bad if people don't have the needed interest in the first place. They're doing better with what they have now, at least none the movies were butchered, unlike Michael Bay does with anything he touches
