  1. I posted this in the Way Off Topic (Movie Thread) partof the forum but since it IS gaming related, I decided I will post it here as well... plus some people don't check the Way Off Topic portion - lucky for them, heh. Looks like that classic arcade machine game "Rampage" got some sort of AAA budget movie adaptation. Yes, it's real...
  2. Well.. lookie here lol Looks like that classic arcade machine game "Rampage" got some sort of AAA budget movie adaptation. Yes, it's real...
  3. If you tell people ahead of time, they'll be okay with it. However, it's when you surprise them, then they get angry lol Kinda like what happened with Denuvo's recent situations.
  4. I loved both Guardian films, each for different reasons. I could watch that Baby Groot dance intro over ahd over lol The Marvel movies that I probably won't watch again are the Hulk ones. They just felt so sloppy and misplaced. Broken, really. Spider-Man Homecoming was decent. I think they finally made Vulture relatable and likable. I always hated his character in comics, cartoons and games. My hope is that they make a Spider-Man film where Spider-Man is experienced and in his last year of college. I get tired of seeing Spider-Man re-learning how to use his powers and become Spider-Man But taking it to the next level where Spider-Man is older, more mature and professional hero (prime of his comic timeline) That would be amazing. For that reason I applaud Insomniac games for making a game based on a more experienced hero, even with the inclusion of Miles Morales - whom old fans love to hate because he's the new Spider-Man. Anyways, I still think/hope Black Panther is as amazing as the trailers suggest!
  5. That's the terrible truth of it, isn't it? Leave it to those types to discredit Steam as a whole for a few bad indie titles here abd there and disregard all the great games. Localized games, indie games, etc. I, neither, have anything against any of the business models. Seems like Steam just gets despised for great things that it does right. Steam cards, achievements, and big picture mode a bad thing? When GoG catches up, suddenly it will be okay Anyways, I prefer digital on pc and physical on console. I don't know why, it just feels right to me I guess. Uplay is amazing, it's really improved as of late. I haven't used Epic Games new launcher app or Battlenet... 2 things I intend to stay away from as I don't need or want any other apps really.
  6. It's okay. Most people here are old You are not alone!
  7. Sometimes it is about budget, the the Lego games are a great example.the first Lego Batman had silent characters except for grunts and such. The 2nd Lego game had viice acting... what a world of a difference (in a positive way, the talking protagonists added to the immersion)
  8. Just watch it so you can say you did Barberella on Hulu... that contrversial intro lol and some Mad Max meets Lost In Space vibes. I thought The Fifth Element was okay but much prefer The 6th Day and the remake of Total Recall. Just preference, just like I prefer the new Star Trek "trash" which for reasons I think is better than the old Star Trek. And these days I couldn't really care less for Stat Wars (old or new).
  9. I very much liked that system better.
  10. When someone says that those hours is a big deal, I can tell they don't play these types of games or know people who do because the average person who plays a mp competitive game like Battlefront, CoD or Team Fortress 2 has around 500-2,000 hours (take a look at the statistics). 40 hours isn't really anything to a person playing a game like Battlefront 2 if we're being honest... and I'm sure if someone is going to get Battlefront 2 they're going to be smart enough to know ehat they're buying in the first place. The thing is that it's all preference, not reality of it. A game which "forces you" to out in 40 hours or more doesn't make it a bad game or the devs bad people in any way. The thing here i that you don't like that the dev said "You have to" if they never would have said that, the offended person would have spent 200 hours not knowing the different. Why don't we just leave it at that? I do agree that the limitation and coin-flip structure is horrible and anti-playerism but that's a totally different thing together.
  11. Yeah, Freeze was a legit fight! With the stealth, puzzles ahd such. Really cool. Deathstroke in Origins was also good but it was basically all about precise timing in qte's and perrying. If you didn't combine the two at the exact time required, you'll just be stuck there. Great stuff! And yes, SR4!!! The game with the glitching world lol I have a love/hate relationship with that game as I do with Skyrim.
  12. I love games that I can finish in one sitting but today is not that day. I am playing Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 and I already know from the map alone that it's going to be Witcher 3 long hours type of quality content. Here I go, this will be the very first game I put 200 hours in in a long time... loooooong time.
  13. I have a friend who lives in India, he says that AAA titles are actually cheaper than indie games there so has basically every and any AAA title on Steam and barely any indie games. Quite the opposite of us Americans and Europeans lol
  14. I use both and also Origin but Steam offers a bit of a better experience thsn either or. For example, I always have access to Steam and the Steam community through the phone app. The community market also steps things up a bit. If you're an older gamer, or into older games, GoG will probably be better for you for nostalgic purposes though.
  15. My favorite thing in Sleeping Dogs is that I can put people in the trunk, drive off the bridge while jumping out the car and watch the car sink. It's hard for me to get used to the left side of the hub. When comparing Sleeping Dogs to something like GTAV, Mafia or RDR, it feels somehow more authentic. My favorite thing about the Arkham games are the boss fights. Every boss fight is different... ine might be based on qte's, another on brute force, another be it stealth or memorization of some analytical value in itself. The boss fights against the iconic villains are very well done.
  16. Lego Marvel Super 2 Heroes released today and yes,vit is awesome! :D
  17. ^The link that was preciously posted because the preview box didn't show up for whatever reason.
  18. What a horrible prequel The Thing had though which ruined both movies for me (coming from a huge horror fan). I mean sure we can separate them but that wouldn't make sense since the classic picks up right where the new one leaves watchers. Does the dog in The Thing die? Https://youtu.be/jr9QtXwC9vc ^One I will see on opening day.
  19. There's nothing wrong with server-based/account games, tons of great games from other devs and pubs are. The problem is the systems that lock out players from fair play. If you release a "competitive" game, why put limits on experienced players and nerf them to the point where there's no reason or real motivation to play? And the anti-hack is good reason for preventing anyone from doing that. I suppose you guys did not read what happened with the server-side account based mp game called Dead By Daylight... where hacks were being exploited. Or let me guess, now it's a different matter for the devs and pubs not protecting their product
  20. Sleeping Dogs' combat is fun at least, I mean, the delay in press feels natural to outcome, so it feels polished, unlike AC but maybe that's because Sleeping Dogs is unarmed combat and AC is basically fencing. The problem with Sleeping Dogs is the physics but still, it does do classic brawler to a modern 3D game justice quite well. I think of Sleeping Dogs as a spiritual successor to Fighting Force (exclusively in combat terms).
  21. Lmao Alanis should be the meme for today's modern gaming community, that would be awesome yet terribly sad
  22. It's like rain... on your wedding day
  23. I don't see anything wrong with the "putting 40 hours into unlocking a demanded character" part. In the 90's, you'd play games like Soul Blade, Tekken, Battle Arena Toshinden or Mortal Kombat and need to beat the game with every character in order to unlock the boss as a playable character. This is nothing new, even now, games like Lego Marvel Super Heroes (supposedly a kid's game... yeah right lol) requires about 40 hours worth of play or more to unlock Deadpool as a character. This is not unfair in my eyes.
