  1. Ayuh, they've been around for a bit. Watch out because they spoil!
  2. ZEREXAKI CLAIM YOUR PRIZE If you haven't already gotten an AP preorder, I can set one up for you via Gamersgate or Steam. Otherwise I can get you some sort of Steam thing for $40 or less!
  3. HERE ARE THE CONTENDERS 1. awsomeness 2. Cl_Flushentityhe... 3. Starwars 4. fastpunk 5. SirPetrakus 6. zerexaki 7. Deadly_Nightshad... 8. lobotomy42 9. Raithe 10. Tel Aviv Technically Tel Aviv got it exactly, but I asked for months, not dates, so he's just in the running. That's 10 contestants. I am going to get a d10, and we will sort this **** out.
  4. Is Gamersgate supposed to give you a serial # when you pre-order? I bought a copy for my brother and he says it's given him one. Steam hasn't given me one yet. They may very well have broken street date in the US. We'll see in a few hours, I suppose. I'm going back home for the night if it is indeed playable.
  5. Usually whenever I've got a small (<5 minute) trek, I take the time to shoot birds / bird people out of the sky, as well as any animal I come across. Hawk feathers fetch a nice price (usually up to $32 per bird, given they drop multiple feathers) as do owl feathers.
  6. If you're outside a town or gang hideout you can set up a campsite and save / change outfits / what have you. It's also how you fast-travel.
  7. There are <2 hour RPGs out there, so no.
  8. This came out awhile ago, it just got to Youtube today, for whatever reason.
  9. Bad second acts are something of a fact of life for (planned) trilogies.
  10. I think when it first popped up we tracked it down. It was some sort of restaurant in Texas, if I remember correctly.
  11. I don't know why it's an assumption that gamers are 17-year old douchebags. Core demographic gamers are, in fact, 17-year old douchebags of many ages and circumstances. Stupid douchebags, even. This forum is the only gaming forum I've been to where it hasn't been the case 100% of the time. Yet here we are in a thread started by a woman and it doesn't take but a single reply before we hit a nadir. Classic. Really I'm pretty much over this "Silent Majority" bull**** that thinking gamers pull out whenever rational individuals actually listen to what average gamers have to say and they come to the very reasonable conclusion that gamers are, by and large, mouth-breathing retards. Go to any place where gamers congregate. They are fickle, impetuous, narrow minded, spiteful, resentful, envious, intolerant, afraid, risk-averse, needy, bullying, shallow, small, and sanctimonious. Like so many enthusiasts, they cheapen that which they cherish. But games and game culture are not necessarily synonymous. These days it's becoming more and more the case (see: the way Bioware has tailored aspects of their games to fan demands) but with most games you can separate a game from the dreck who play them.
  12. Don't forget Gunslinger Dog and the !.
  13. Screencaps (supposedly) from The Strip.
  14. Back when Bioshock first came out they gave a taped presentation at some games summit saying pretty much the exact same thing. Bioshock's been through a lot of revisions. Probably no more than most AAA games. Hopefully at some point MCA can tell us about what Alpha Protocol originally looked like, because apparently it was very, very different.
  15. So is that Project X then?
  16. So could someone explain in vague terms what this spoils? I've had some of the game (Saudi Arabia and Moscow) already spoiled for me and I'm curious about this trailer, but I don't want to have anything more revealed to me.
  17. Linky. Warning: Spoilerz
  18. Not to anyplace that has scans, I don't think. Just google "first alpha protocol review" and you should hit some.
  19. The implication is that it would be a Wheel of Time game in the same sense that KOTOR was a Star Wars game. It's within the setting and using familiar elements, but more or less unrestricted in terms of things they're able to do. I took that to mean it was a half-project in terms of manpower devoted to it. And MCA was not specific as to what project was the half in "two and a half".
  20. So according to yon internets, the first published review of AP has been released via the Spanish mag Playmania. Here's the (translated) summary: Here's the thing - given that AP is not being pushed by a major publisher and it looks dated, I figure 88 is probably going to be the best we can hope for in reviews. The 90's are reserved for games deemed important by the press, and AP has not been deemed important.
  21. Ah, right. Darcy is the white guy. AP agent, tech specialist, takes to aggressive types. Apparently he can be useful as a mole within the AP organization.
