It's also the worst of the few games that I like that combines technology with magic and swords.

Warcraft 3 was terribly, terribly boring. But I was into it for a bit. Back when I got it, my name for all my in-game accounts and such was "Thrall", so when I started the game and my character's actual given name was Thrall it threw me for a loop. So I had fun with it until it started to suck. Up until Warcraft 3 I considered Blizzard to be a creator of genre masterpieces par excellence.

Thankee all. See, I'd be all for purism and realism and all of that jazz, but I worry too easily about things like degrading equipment, to the point where it detracts from the fun of the game. I'm a defensive player in general. When I play Starcraft I just build turrets and research facilities and stockpile units until I'm absolutely sure I can make win in one hit. I've never won a war in a Civ game. It's just the way I is.

If somebody could clue me in to how to mod out the item degradation I'd appreciate it. I rather liked it when it was prepatched and I could take a bit once in awhile to admire the gameworld without constantly worrying about how I'm going to keep my awesome armor from crapping out on me halfway into a deep expedition. I'd like to have those moments back without the bugs.
